Sunday Projects

Today started with a chill.  It was beautiful outside, but a bit colder than days past.  We started our morning  with a visit from GiGi and Gi-Pa, who now delivers their Sunday paper every week.  We then went outside to do some weeding in our front yard flower bed.  You two helped Mommy pull weeds, in between running around screaming about bugs ha/ha.  Mommy then got busy painting your guy's old baby crib for Aunt Gabby.  She has asked that Momma paint it for her...Mommy gave it to her for her baby gift.  Daddy headed to Grandmoo's house to borrow her truck.  He then went and picked up Sean Franky's coffee table.  Mommy managed to paint one section of Gabby's crib, we decided to paint it lavender  and she wanted a shabby chic finish.  Mommy is quite proud how the first section turned out :)  Gabby loved it too.  Mommy managed to get the mattress crib and the finished section of the crib delivered to Gabby prior to rain.  It sprinkled on and off, making all the outside painting projects tricky.  Mommy is loaded down with projects (painting Gabby's crib and changing table) as well as Franky's new coffee table. You two were getting horribly fussy, so Mommy put you down for a nap.  I don't think either of you napped long, Jude, you definitely didn't and were right back outside with Mommy about a half hour after I put you down.

Mommy chugged on, trying to knock out some projects.  Mommy had Franky come by to decide what color he wanted his coffee table.  Franky brought Ariel :) and decided he wanted it this pretty cranberry color with an antique glaze (the same color Mommy used on the flower painted on Daddy's office ceiling).  Oh, and this morning, Mommy stubbed her toes (Mommy has no doubt I broke at least one toe) but I didn't discover that it was black and blue until much later.  My toe was hurting, you two were fussing, and Daddy was cranky cranky cranky.  He often reminded Mommy and the two of you, by the way of yelling, he has under the gun to get work projects done (though he did stop for a nap-sucker)!

One of Daddy's good friends, Jerry Williams, as well as his wife, stopped by to look at Daddy's truck. We discovered earlier that Daddy's starter had gone out (that's why Daddy had to get Grandmoo's truck).  They visited and admired our backyard :)  Mommy got back to work, trying to paint with the two of you fighting and running around the back yard.  Daddy told you two to go inside with him so Mommy could finish Franky's coffee table, but it wasn't even 30 minutes, and Daddy was back to yelling and asking Mommy "how much longer?"  Mommy quit.  I came inside and got you two fed dinner and gave you both a bath.  Buddha, you decided to poop in the tub...no more baths with your sister sucker!  You two then ran around playing while Mommy cleaned the ENTIRE house.  Jude, you start gymnsastics tomorrow, and Mommy needs to finish paint projects the remainder of the day, so Mommy decided to clean the house from top to bottom tonight. You two eventually fell asleep while Mommy was vacuuming, sometime after 10:30 p.m.  Mommy mopped your guy's rooms and put clothes away while you two slept.  You both were wore out!  Sweet dreams my sweet sweet babes!

PS Jude, you begged Mommy to get some water for your baby you were playing with, Mommy told you, "babies don't drink water, they drink breast milk."  You then breast fed your baby ha/ha!  Mommy didn't want to clean up a water mess, especially since it was so late and Mommy was still cleaning.
