Momma Retires From Refinishing Furniture

Sean Franky has just moved into his first big boy apartment, and he had previously solicited Mommy’s help to pick out furniture and what not.  Well, Mommy offered to make Franky a unique coffee table, and so Mommy spent some of yesterday and the day before, as well as today working on Franky’s table.  Today, Franky’s table was completed, I’ll post pictures of it later.

Mommy brought you two outside with several of Mommy’s good pots and pans.  Mommy filled the pots with water and opened up the sandbox.  You two made mud soup, mud pies, and Bodhi, you actually built a house using bricks and sand as the mortar in between!!!! I have no clue who taught you about brick laying (Grandmoo was even surprised).  Gabby stopped by to deliver some paint for the remainder of the crib, and visited for a few.  Ms. Susan our neighbor stopped by to visit too.  Mommy then got busy painting the crib/then distressing the crib, putting a top coat on Franky’s table, and painting Gabby’s changing table, which was made of pressed wood, uggggh!  Mommy planted flowers and did yard work in between coats of paint.

It was one extremely long and difficult day, but thankfully Grandmoo stopped by to see you two since Mommy’s work was cancelled (Mommy’s client went to jail) and she wouldn’t be watching you guys tonight.  Grandmoo asked if you two wanted to go for a walk to the park in the stroller because she had seen a baby duckling she wanted to show the two of you on her way over.  You two had been outside all morning and afternoon with Momma, but you two had enough energy to go with Grandmoo (THANK GOODNESS).  Thanks to Grandmoo, Mommy managed to get everyone’s furniture projects completed.
You two played at the park, watched the ducks, and then showed Grandmoo where an ice cream shop was located…luckily Grandmoo had taken her purse ha/ha!  Grandmoo had no idea there was an ice cream shop across from the park, but you two weren’t shy about showing her ha/ha!!!  You all enjoyed ice cream and headed back home.  You guys were gone for like 3 hours!!  When you guys returned, Mommy was getting ready to load up Gabby’s crib and changing table to deliver it to her.  Grandmoo agreed to stay a while longer while I dropped it off.  You two were beyond fussy by the time Mommy returned home.  Mommy fed you chicken noodles and mashed potatoes, threw your dirty butts in the bath and then off to nighty night town for the two of you.   Mommy mustard up enough energy to clean out the Highlander and then I took a shower and crashed on the bed.

Mommy was laying in bed when suddenly,  I remembered….Mommy and Aunt Ti had planned a movie night tonight.  Aunt Ti was due over, so Mommy jumped up and sent her a text asking if she remembered.  Aunt Ti made it shortly after 10pm, and we watched our movie, talked, and laughed J  It’s been forever since Mommy has had Aunt Ti time J  None of you suckers knew Aunt Ti was over (you two usually sense when Mommy is going to do something out of our normal routine) however, since Mommy herself had forgotten, you two didn’t pick up on it HA/HA!

Sweet dreams my sweet sweet babes.

PS  Mommy is no longer refinishing furniture, unless it’s ours ha!  OUT OF BUSINESS!  I’m happy that I was able to make some special furniture gifts for two precious people :)

Your cherry crib painted lavender and lightly distressed for a vintage look :)

An old door turned coffee table.  Mommy painted it red, added a chocolate glaze over the top and then sealed with a varnish :)
