Daddy is under the gun to get his end of the semester papers and finals graded, and semester grades submitted, so Daddy needed Mommy to keep you two away from his office and entertained. We had an incredibly fun day together (which wore Mommy out wheeew), but nothing compared to our evening. While playing in Play Land at McDonalds after lunch, a Momma told her son, "if we don't go now you are not going to see the elephants. Bodhi, you don't miss a thing... "Mommy, can we go see the elephants?" Mommy thought oh boy, I had totally forgot that the circus was tonight. Mommy told you both that we would see how nap time went and then decide if we would go later.
Mommy got you both home and settled in for nap time. Bodhi, you were too excited and refused to sleep. Buddha, you passed out. When you, Buddha awakened, you came and cuddled with Momma (I took a nap while you napped). We then decided that we were going to the circus. Today was much colder than the past few days, so Mommy re-dressed you in warmer clothes. Mommy remembers being extremely hot at last year's circus, so Mommy didn't want to dress you too warm (my mistake).
We then drove to the Memorial Gymnasium, where Momma use to attend) and walked what seemed two miles ha/ha. You two were troopers though, you both were unbelievably excited hee/hee As we were walking in, these two nice ladies that attended the earlier show asked if we had tickets. Mommy said no, and they handed us two free children's tickets, SCORE! We all thanked them, and then you, Bodhi, said, "Mommy now we can get a Dora and a doggy balloon." You are smart beyond your years! Mommy had a budget of $50.00 dollars, which seems like a lot, huh, apparently not in Carney world!
You two picked out a balloon, one $7 dollar Dora balloon for you, Bodhi, and one $5 dollar Scooby Doo balloon for you, Buddha. We then bought Mommy a ticket, $15 dollars. We then got in line and watched the elephants give kiddos ride and the zebras play in the yard. Bodhi, you were wanting a ride, but Buddha, you were a big chicken...and since it was just Momma, we didn't take a ride because I wasn't about to leave you alone while Mommy took Bo :) You would have been snatched up and become part of the circus act. Once inside, Bodhi you wanted your face painted like Hello Kitty, another $5 dollars hee/hee. Buddha, Momma tried getting you to get Spidey man painted on your face...but you screamed when the gypsy lady picked you up ha/ha!!!!!
When the show started, you two got so excited. Buddha you bounced your head to the beat of the music, and Bodhi, you got your groove on. Buddha had a perfect view on the end seat, but Bodhi, you had to sit on Mommy's lap all of the show. You two were perfect angels!! Mommy was shocked how the circus kept your attention the ENTIRE show. Mommy asked you during intermission if you wanted to leave and you both said "NO!" You both were particularly fond of the clowns and animals. We stayed the entire show, while sharing cotton candy, another $4 dollars :) Once we left the tent, we were all freezing and had to make the long journey to our car. You both said you were starving so Mommy bought you both a McDouble at McDonalds, not thinking you two would eat the entire big person sandwich...you both did!!!! It was then off to dream land. Mommy knows you both were dreaming circus dreams, neither of you awakened. Sweet sweet dreams baby butts! Momma had a great date night with the two of you!!!
PS Buddha, you wore big boy panties all day long and only had one accident! YAY!
