Our Way Home

Today was our travel day, and it began quite early with young Mister Buddha waking around 7 a.m., to be followed shortly by young Ms. Bodhi. Daddy was attentive to the fact that while on our “vacation” young Mister Buddha was the first one to rise, quite the opposite of how it is when we are at home---hmmm, don’t quite know what to make of that.

Daddy loaded the two of you in our carriage and we ventured out for a park walk, while Mommy had a little time to have to herself and get showed and dressed. The “walk,” quite honestly, almost did Daddy inJ, the hills along the park roads were an incredible challenge for a carriage ride for two precious passengersJ. Nonetheless, we walked back to an abandoned log cabin and peaked in with our flashlights illuminating the interior of what has been permitted to fall into disarrayL. Daddy found us a souvenir rock to take home (which is probably frowned upon by park purists) and we then made our way back to our room. When we approached the Inn, Daddy was drenched with perspiration, and several people sitting in rocking chairs in front of the Inn made comments to Daddy that they were in awe that “we” took on the steep hill directly in front of the InnJ.

We went back to the room and gathered up our Mommy and went downstairs for a buffet breakfast, which we all enjoyed (even though Mommy is no fan of buffet diningJ she did enjoy breakfast), then we packed up and loaded our car for our departure.

We stopped at a few antique stores along our route back to Bloomington, where we stopped and visited some IU merchandise stores, made a drive-through visit at a McDonald’s and then headed full steam for home—Bodhi you were a pleasant little princess on our trip and Buddha you were possessed by demonsJ. Wow, what a long journey with a fussy little boy!

When we finally made it home, the two of you anxiously wanted to get out of the car and romp around the back yard under Mommy’s close supervision, while Daddy unpacked everything from our trip. Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron came by for a visit, as Brother Aaron has to work tomorrow and can’t make it to your birthday party, Ms. Bodhi. They agreed to help, as they always do, and stopped and purchased some canisters of helium for Mommy on the way over to visit us.

Mommy then busied herself with preparations for the party tomorrow, while Daddy hurriedly finished an online course he was enrolled in from the college and which had to be completed by tonight.

Buddha, you finally settled down and went to bed, but you remained wound up Bodhi so you stayed up with Mommy and Daddy. Both Mommy and Daddy were looking forward to a “night, night” at our home-sweet-home, it was obvious that getaway exhaustion was setting in on us allJ.
Tomorrow is a big day, Birthday girl, and after a late night visit from Grandmoo, it was time for us all to settle down and try to get Mommy to go to bedJ!!! “Night, night!!!” And love, love, love…

Since the internet at the Inn wouldn't work in our room, Mommy has all the pictures mixed up... so here are some pics from our adventures last night...

Poor Bo, you bumped your head hard!!!

ONe of the two precious nightly visitors at the Inn :)

Jude, you kept saying, "I like our new house!"  Mommy thinks you liked sleeping with everyone ha/ha :)
