Monday Madness

Hello Monday morning!  Mommy awakened at 6am and it was apparent that you Ms. Bodhi, had been up with your Daddy sometime earlier, but both of you had fallen back to sleep.  Mommy took her shower and then went downstairs to wake Daddy for his dentist appointment with the added instruction of brewing up some Morning Joe or else :)  Daddy complied, knowing Mommy had stayed up very late getting you two and myself all ready to go this morning.  The plan was for you, Ms. Bodhi (my big girl) to go to GiGi's and Gi-Pa's, and you Mr. Buddha, to Grandmoo's.  Grandmoo and GiGi have been alternating you two since Aunt Ti is out of commission for the time being... being a super Momma to an added family member :)  Aunt Ti is a special special special person!  However, at the last possible second, you both decided to throw GiGi and Grandmoo through a loop... whom were both parked behind Mommy in the driveway, ugggh!  Jude, you insisted on getting into GiGi's car, and Bodhi, you said you were going to Grandmoo's... simple enough, but with Grills' women, nothing is ever that simple!  After switching calming a flustered Grandmoo and GiGi and switching your guy's bags, you both were off for your separate adventures while Mommy and Daddy went to work (and Daddy to the dentist).  Mommy left at 7:30 a.m. and arrived back in town at 1:30 p.m., Daddy was already home from work.    Mommy will be picking up another case (on Monday's in Lafayette) so Mommy's day will begin at 6am and we won't be back home until 7:30 p.m. starting next Monday.

Mommy picked you up first Buddha.  You were close to having a complete "ready for a nap" meltdown, and you were no fun getting into the car.  GiGi said you had a great day and you went to the park with GiGi and Gi-Pa.  GiGi said she saw a lady with her child, and the lady had a bong hanging from her neck... yep, a bong.  Mommy was more surprised GiGi knew what one was... but she confessed Gi-Pa is the one that actually identified it.  GiGi said the lady was toking on it as she pushed her child on the swing ha/ha!!!  GiGi was curious to know if it would actually stay lit, really? HA/HA!  Mommy tried to make light of the situation by stating it's probably better than being addicted to Xanax ha/ha but Mommy was tickled with GiGi's description of the encounter!

Finally, after a good laugh, Mommy and Buddha were on our way to pick up Bodhi from Grandmoo's.  Grandmoo had all your items packed and you jumped in the car.  Once home, you both went down for your naps.  Mommy did some chores and then retired to bed for a nap myself.  Daddy joined me some time later.  Buddha, you woke up at 4:30 p.m. and Bodhi, you slept forever... 5:30 p.m.  Mommy's not complaining though.

After you both decided to get up, Mommy put you both in your high chairs, turned up the radio and started cooking dinner.  Bodhi, you are so cute, you always go into deep thought with a smile on your face.  Mommy use to do that when I was little to!  You both got a kick out of watching Mommy cook and dance around the kitchen.  You both danced in your high chairs, carrying on and giggling.  Mommy made fried green tomatoes and squash... all turned out delicious.  Bodhi, you didn't care for the friend green tomatoes, but you did love the squash.  Mommy thought for sure you'd love both since you picked all of it from the garden with Grandpa yesterday.

Once Daddy arrived home, Mommy and Daddy ate together, and then Mommy took you both outside to play.  Bodhi, you painted in your new "Olivia" painting book.  At first you flipped out saying you wanted paint, but after Mommy showed you how the water turns the colors on the pages into paint, you were good to go.  Buddha, you played with play-doh and chased the cats around the yard.  Mommy water flowers and planted plants.  You both had taken super long naps, yet you both were not playing well together.  This surprised Mommy, especially since you, Bodhi woke up so happy (you haven't woke up from your nap happy in what feels like forever).  Mommy missed several perfect photo opportunities :(  particularly after we went back inside.  Mommy allowed you both to stay up super late, so long as you both played well together, and for the most part you two did very well.  Bodhi, you liked the positive attention you received from Mommy when you loved on your brother, so you kept doing it.  Buddha, every time Sissy would give you a kiss, you would yell, "NO!"  but you both laughed and carried on.

You both are now asleep.  Bodhi, after getting back up and cuddling with Mommy, you decided you need to have a slumber party with Daddy, who is resting on the couch with plans to get up super early to work on work before leaving for work.  Daddy is giving a lecture, so he will be gone tomorrow and overnight.  Last year at this lecture Mommy and Daddy had quite the experience... Bob Dylan and our car breaking down three hours away :(  It's hard to believe it was a year ago already!

Tomorrow is an all day Mommy only day... and then a Mommy slumber party! Nighty night sweet babes!

Sorry, Bo!  Mommy failed to get pictures of you... I'll make it up tomorrow.

Buddha at GiGi's and Gi-Pa's :)

Buddha, you are all about rocks lately... Mommy is waiting for one to jump up in your nose ha/ha  Aunt Debbie Riffe loves to tell of how a rock just jumped up in her son's nose hee/hee
