Mommy's alarm clock sounded at 7:15 a.m., Bodhi, you had decided at 5am you were going to sleep solo in your bed hee/hee and Buddha, you were stretched across your Momma and Ms. Allie. You jumped up with the alarm went off. GiGi came over so that Mommy could go mow our old house before the scheduled showing at 9:00 a.m. Mommy mowed and picked up ten more bags of top soil at Menards and made it home by 9:00 a.m. GiGi had to get going so it was just the three of us again. Well, the seven of us including your guy's four legged siblings :) You two were hungry for breakfast, so Mommy made you both waffles. You each gobbled two waffles a piece down, you two LOVE waffles! Then we headed outside to play and get some work done. Mommy instructed you both to sit on our patio while Mommy mowed the backyard. It makes Mommy nervous that you two are outside when Mommy mows... Mommy has heard several horror stories about kids getting killed by flying rocks from mowers. However, you two sat side by side in complete amazement ha/ha You both watched, completely content while Mommy mowed. Mommy didn't have to tell you once to sit down, you both never moved. You both played on the swing set and in the sandbox while Mommy mowed the front, but that didn't last long. You both decided to sit on the front steps to watch Mommy mow the front yard.
After mowing, Mommy completely soaked and smelly, decided to give Ms. Allie and Mr. Arlo a much needed bath. You both again watched and giggled. Bodhi, you sat by the hose, you were my hose girl, turning it off and on as needed. Baby Ella and Dora Kitty decided to take a front row seat as well. Mommy was laughing so hard. The kitties sat about three feet away from Mommy and the hounds, watching, and Mommy knew they were enjoying watching Ms. Allie and Mr. Arlo being tortured with a bath. They never get that close to Ms. Allie, but I could literally reach out and touch them they were so close ha/ha! Mommy doesn't have much experience with cats, so I really don't know how smart they are, or what is considered "normal" cat behavior, but when I finished giving Ms. Allie and Mr. Arlo a bath, Mommy asked the two of you if I should try to wash the cats.... they ran instantly, it was like a cartoon! Mommy managed to give them a good brushing, you both insisted on helping (YIKES).
Before we knew it, you two were hungry again. Mommy went inside and made you both lunch. We had another outdoor picnic, and then you both decided it was too hot to stay outside, so went inside for naps. Mommy then got busy on unloading and filling low and bare spots in our yard with the top soil. Mommy then seeded it with grass seed and came inside for a shower. Mommy decided I had accomplished enough this morning, so I too went down for a nap. Jude, you awakened first. Mommy snatched you up from your crib and threw you in bed with me. We had some good Mommy/Buddha time together. I tickled you, loved on you, and wrestled you around. Bodhi, you awakened, probably from all of our giggling, and joined us. Mommy then took you both downstairs to make spaghetti for dinner. However, Mommy realized we didn't have any sauce :( Daddy called to let Mommy know that he would be home by 6pm, so Mommy passed the message along to you two. You both were super excited to see Daddy, and you both wouldn't quit asking "where's Daddy." Mommy didn't have any other dinner options, as I didn't defrost anything, so we packed in the car and headed to McDonalds (Mommy hates McDonalds). Jude, you said you wanted chicken nuggets, and Bo, you said you wanted a cheeseburger, apples, milk and a toy ha/ha! You have the McDonalds routine down. After Mommy had ordered our food in the drive through, Bodhi, you shouted last minute, "ice cream Momma." Oh my word! When did you grow up? Mommy ordered you both an ice cream sundae :)
Once home, you both ate, played with your toys, and then Mommy took you back outside to play. Our neighbor, Heather, and her son, Chase, came over. Heather wanted some parenting advice regarding her 12 year old, Autumn, at which time, Daddy arrived home. He brought gifts from Grandma Betty, and boy did you two make out with the goods! Mommy did too, Grandma Betty sent Mommy some money for graduating Graduate school :) Thank you Grandma Betty, we love and miss you. We called Grandma Betty to say thank you, but Bo, you turned into a little turd bucket when your Daddy returned home, you wouldn't talk to Grandma Betty after you told her thank you for your gifts. You two then had a little Daddy time before retiring to bed. Mommy took our neighbor to the store, and then we went to check on the swim times at Kokomo Beach. Mommy was so upset to learn that the Kokomo Beach is no longer open through the week :( We had plans to join Aunt Angela and her two little ones tomorrow for a swim. You both go nuts when we walk or drive by the facility with the big slides. Mommy called Angela to tell her the bad news, and we decided that we had to take you guys, even if it's on the busy weekend. Luckily, you both took the new ok, and then voiced your excitement for swimming this weekend. Lets hope the weather holds out! Mommy then put you both down to sleep, you Buddha, in your bed, and you, Bodhi, downstairs in a pull-up with your Daddy. Sweet Dreams my sweet babes! We had a couple of fun Mommy days, Mommy solo that it is. You both sighed a sigh of relief that your Daddy had returned though :)
Our slumber party started off well enough... but you Mr. Buddha are a train wreck in your sleep! |
"What in the world?" "This is 'my time' with Momma!" |
Buddha you are the messiest little eater! |
"Thank goodness Sissy screamed for ice cream!" :) |
