After your wild and crazy Hello Kitty birthday party yesterday, today was a recovery day for us all. Mommy and Daddy took turns supervising you both while laying down and occasionally "resting our eyes." We stayed inside, Mommy eventually cleaning, you two playing, and Daddy resting. Daddy did make you both breakfast and lunch while Mommy played and cleaned.
After our long long afternoon naps, Mommy and Daddy finally gave you, Bodhi your birthday gift :) It wasn't big or expensive, but Mommy is sure you'll have fun playing with all 35 cans of play-doh and your ice cream play-doh maker.
You were born at 6:40 p.m. after four days of being induced and pumped full of drugs. You most certainly had a rough start and sadly you were not ready to leave your Momma's womb, but you made your way into the world by way of c-section :( Mommy regrets not waiting for you naturally, listening to the doctor and going forward with the induction, but all is well and we are blessed to have you! Mommy and Daddy love you beyond comprehension. You are so truly special in so many ways... incredibly smart, witty, quirky, and stunningly adorable, to name a few. Daddy, better than I, could more beautifully express how much you are loved and how much you mean to us, but Daddy is resting before having to get back up in order to finish some of his work later tonight. So, Mommy is left with the monumental task. We wake up every single morning and count our blessings for you and your brother. Parenting you and caring for you is the single most important and most rewarding thing we have ever done. Mommy never imagined a love like the love I feel for you and your brother. It's truly amazing and I would do anything for you! You just walked in the room and said you wanted to cuddle with Mommy, so this blog entry will have to wait.
Ok, so once you both awakened from your naps, Mommy decided to call Grandpa. He had requested that you two come over today and pick vegetables out of his garden with him. Bodhi, you were especially excited to pick vegetables. Mommy dropped you both off and I went to clean out my car for work tomorrow. You two had a blast, and when Mommy arrived to pick you both up, you both excitedly showed Mommy two sacks of veggies. We visited for about an hour longer before going home. Mommy threw you both in the bath and got you both tucked into bed. Bodhi, you got out of bed a half hour later and stated you couldn't sleep. Mommy let you get up and we had a glass of strawberry milk. You said, "cheers," and it was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend, a celebration of our precious Bodhi gift! Mommy then frantically got us all packed and ready for an early morning, Mommy a work day in Lafayette, you two a day with GiGi & Gi-Pa & Grandmoo, and Daddy a dentist appointment and work. Mommy finally got to bed at 1am with the alarm set for 6am :( Nighty night my sweet babes! Happy Happy Birthday my precious little Emilia Bodhi! Mommy and Daddy LOVE you!!!
