It seems like it has been a long,
hectic week, or at least so to Daddy. Finally Friday arrived, and we decided to
spend some family time this morning going to an antique store to check on
Mommy’s outdoor table and then going to Sam’s Club to purchase some much needed
groceries. After coming home, Mommy and Daddy unloaded the car and put away
groceries then Mommy was off for an appointment. Daddy made the two of you
lunch, a Hello Kitty cheeseburger for Bodhi and a Viking cheeseburger for
Buddha, and green beans and ice water to drink. After lunch, the two of you
were down most cooperatively for your napJ.
By the time Mommy got home, you
were up and around Bodhi, so you accompanied Daddy to the mall so Daddy could
get his hair cut. You met Charli, the woman who cuts Daddy’s hair and she
complimented you several times on having the most beautiful hairJ. Daddy told her you
got your beautiful hair from himJ.
After Daddy’s haircut, we stopped by Blondie’s Cookies for a treat, and Ms. Bodhi
you carefully selected a Hello Kitty cookie for yourself, a chocolate chip
sandwich cookie for Mommy and a Rainbow icing cookie for your brother, Buddha.
Daddy managed to get a peanut butter, chocolate drop cookie tooJ.
After returning home, Mommy needed
a power nap, so Daddy turned on Puss n’ Boots movie for the two of you to watch
while Daddy made dinner of cheese and tomato sauce manicotti and green beans
and cottage cheese; the two of you were hungry and ate an impressive dinnerJ!
After dinner, Mommy took the two
of you and Allie for a marathon walk around the neighborhood, and when you
returned you suffered an injury to your lips and face, Bodhi, when you ran into
the side mirror on Daddy’s car in the drive way. Mommy brought you in, and
Daddy administered first-aid by getting you some Tylenol, an ice pack, some ice
water, a pillow and a blanket, and ultimately a “Bomb” popsicle to ease the
pain…after Mommy taught Buddha how to spike a volleyball, our brother, Buddha,
joined us and he needed a popsicle too to show his solidarity for your cause,
Ms. Bodhi. You seemed to settle in after all the first aid started to have an
effect, and you settled down on the couch and seemed on the verge of falling
asleep while you watched “Rio.” You and Buddha exchanged “ I love you” and off
our young Viking Prince went to “night night.”
Your cookies left to be eaten later.
Brother Sean Franky stopped by
for a very short visit, and Daddy talked briefly with Sister Kelly and
attempted to call Aunt Terrie but she didn’t answer. Sean brought the mail in
with him, and YOOHOO Mommy’s diploma came in the mail today!!!
All in all, it seems like it has
been a very long week, and Daddy is anticipating a hectic weekend to prepare
for the return to school Monday---Mommy has a treat in store for the two of you
this coming Sunday, and tomorrow we will do our Farmer’s Market stroll. So
let’s all get a good night’s sleep, and reflect on our many blessings! “Night,
night!!!”
