Well, Sunday is traditionally supposed be a day of rest, but there is never any rest on Sundays for us. Mommy has let your closets go for a few days, and it only takes a few days to have a major mess. Mommy decided this morning, while you two played, I would get your clothes cleaned out and re-organized. It's a never ending job! You two ran up and down the stairs, playing both in the living room where Daddy worked on work, and upstairs where Mommy was busy sorting. You two had a blast, escaping Mommy's and Daddy's attention and making huge messes. Daddy brought up breakfast for you, Buddha, and Mommy. Bodhi, you ate breakfast downstairs with Daddy. At this time it was your turn, Buddha, to try on jeans, oh boy! Oddly, your 2T jeans seem to fit you perfect, you have shorter legs and a longer upper body. All of your 2T tops were too small however, so we have tons of clothes to donate and give away. Bodhi, you have no fall clothes and a ton of summer clothes, much of which will also be given away. You loved trying on all of your new 4T jeans that Mommy purchased on the Kokomo Garage Sale site on FB. Only two of the jeans were too snug for your thighs.
After Mommy was finished with all the clothes, Daddy brought us up lunch, left-over speghetti that he had fixed last night for dinner. We all ate and then Mommy got back to work, this time pulling out all of your books. Mommy put all of the Hardy Boy books in your room, Buddha, on your shelves of your "new" old garage sale dresser and hutch. It was then time for a short afternoon nap. Mommy promised you both that I would take you to Kokomo Beach, and you both were excited all week to go. It was a bit nippy outside, but we decided to make a go of it. Mommy let you both sleep for about an hour and then I woke you, Bodhi, first. You had a meltdown, and Mommy didn't think you were going to make it. Buddha, you popped up with a smile on your face and yelled, "swim Momma!" Daddy carried you, Bodhi, to the car, and you finally regained your composure. We were then headed to Kokomo Beach. Daddy was concerned about Mommy taking the two of you by myself, but Mommy reassured him that everything would be fine, and that he needed to get his work done. Aunt Angela decided not to take Kaitlyn and Dominic as previously planned.
You two headed straight for the pool, and you both went nuts. Mommy was able to pull you both away to show you the spray area where they had all kinds of different sprinkler toys for you two to play with... but you both lost interest in that pretty quickly, especially you Bodhi. So we went back to the pool area. It was cold, but not too cold. Mommy then took you both to the lazy river to float on a raft with me. OH BOY was that interesting. The lifeguards apparently felt it was too cold for them to do their jobs, because the last time Mommy took you, Buddha, they were in the water assisting people with getting on the rafts... not this time! Luckily for us, a nice Mommy helped Mommy get you two loaded on top of me for a fun ride. We made four laps, two of which were purely accidental... we had no assistance getting into the unloading zone so we were pushed back into the current and passed our exit. Finally, a lifeguard got the point and threw a rope for Mommy to grab so he could pull us into the right area... but Mommy had to slowly paddle our way to a safe dept so that I could unload you two. Ha/ha, it was quite the task. Another lifeguard saw us struggling and yelled at that guy that wasn't helping, but Mommy had managed to get us off by that time.
We then headed back to the pool, all of us shaking because we had been out of the water for so long, and the cold air hitting our wet suits was darn cold. You two went back to swimming, jumping off the side, and then the kids' water slide. I think all the mom's sitting in the sun watching cringed as they watched you, Buddha, climb the slide all by yourself ha/ha! Mommy is only one person, if I helped you up the slide then you would have drowned when you slid down hee/hee You were a big boy though, just as Mommy knew you would be. Your sister went first, of course, but you followed her right behind her. The second trip was a real trip. Buddha, you were taking your time going up the slide stairs, Bodhi, you were dying to pass him but your Momma wouldn't let you :)- and then this obnoxious little boy was growing very impatient and was telling you, Buddha to hurry up. Mommy thought to herself "Oh shit, here we go." Yep, Buddha, you turned around, nose to nose with this much older boy, and you yelled right in his face as loud and as mean as you could "NO!" Ha/ha, Mommy was dying inside. He cut your sister and was pushing you, and you again told him "NO....and NO!" Mommy immediately told you to slide down and not to pick a fight, because it was going to get ugly. The lifeguard guy was losing it. He went and bragged on you to another lifeguard gal, he couldn't believe you had told a boy (probably 4 or 5 years older) what was what. Mommy is just glad you didn't punch him in his face like your prone to doing! It was the last time you both went down the slide :)
We swam some more, and it was getting close to closing time... well past your dinner time, so Mommy took you both and got you both a cheeseburger and a soft cheese pretzel. Bodhi, you couldn't decide which one you wanted, but you had told Mommy you wanted a pretzel and Buddha wasn't coming off his cheeseburger. He even took a piece of your pretzel, which didn't make you happy, Bodhi. Mommy gave you a bite of his cheeseburger to make up for it. After eating you both went back into the pool for 20 more minutes until the facility closed. Yes, Mommy didn't make you sit out 20 minutes after eating ha/ha because you wouldn't have got to swim anymore.
After our swim adventure, we stopped by Dollar General to pick up some pull-ups for Bodhi girl (who wears them during nap and bedtime). You both were so well behaved, Mommy let you, Bodhi, use some of your birthday money to buy you and your brother a hula hoop. You both LOVE to hula, and it's probably the only toy left that you don't have, sadly. Bo, you also picked out a Dora pajama night gown, and Mommy told you to say, "Thank you Great Papaw Grills!" The rest will go in your piggy bank :)
When we returned home, Ms. Allie came running out of the house with Daddy. She was past ready for her nightly walk. So Mommy loaded you two up in the carriage and we took Ms. Allie for another long neighborhood walk. Once home, you both helped Mommy water flowers and the grass I recently planted (It's growing, YaY!) and then you two went inside to eat Mac n' Cheese with Daddy. Mommy finished watering everything and came inside to give you both a bath. You both were off to dreamland, exhausted, and excited for Monday to come. Tomorrow is Mommy's work day, and so Bodhi, you will be going to GiGi's and Gi-Pa's, and Buddha, you will be spending the day with Grandmoo :) Sweet Dreams my sweet babes. Mommy didn't get any pictures, Mommy was scared to take the camera into a water park :)- and once we got back home, it was go, go, go!
This picture is actually from yesterday... Baby Ella and Dora Kitty after eating their nightly tuna dinner :) Dora is getting Soooooo Big! |
