Mommy will be the first to admit, even after only two days (one night) Mommy had to re-adjust to Daddy's return. Mommy got out of "go go go" mode, which worked very well for us, and we had a lazy morning together. Daddy made us bagels with jelly and we all sat together and enjoyed our breakfast. Afterwards, Daddy was back to checking his email, and working. Mommy played with you two in the living room, making play-doh cupcakes and iced cookies. Bodhi, you were frustrated that you couldn't get the "icing" to push through the decorative icing maker, so Mommy had to make your long strands of icing and you placed them on top of your cookies and cupcakes. Jude, you were more interested in trying to sneak a taste of the play-doh treats, and smashing your sister's work of arts :( Sucker! You had Mommy make balls out of the play-doh for you, you and threw them around the room, driving your Momma nuts! Daddy went to check out Mommy's landscaping projects and check the mail, when he saw a Swans' truck. He ran inside with a booklet ha/ha and had Mommy pick out several items. Score! Grocery shopping without the grocery store. There is nothing Mommy hates more than grocery shopping! Mommy bought some cheese & chicken quesadillas and tamales, along with several other items. However, the quesadillas (spell check changed it, but it doesn't look right ha/ha, oh well) and tamales were going to be eaten for lunch. Mommy made us all lunch, and it was a hit. YUM! After lunch, you two and Daddy went down for a nap. Bodhi, you sneaked out of the house, luckily Mommy was in the yard working... laying straw on top of all the top soil Mommy seeded yesterday, and spotted you walking around looking for me. Mommy took you back inside, and took a short (half hour nap as well).
Daddy, grumpy from worrying about getting his work done for the new semester, grudgingly got up when you, Jude awakened. Mommy then hopped in the shower and decided we were going to go on a quick shopping trip to get out of the house. Autumn our neighbor, who started school today, and had a completely crappy day, asked to go with us. Autumn's Mommy married her boyfriend this morning, and Autumn was hurt they didn't get her out of school to go. We all went to Hobby Lobby and picked up a stencil and a picture frame for me, stickers for you, Bodhi, and of course, balls for you, Buddha. Autumn didn't see anything she wanted, but asked if Mommy would help her plan her mother's celebration party.
Once home, we ate dinner outside, Mommy had yelled inside to tell Daddy, but he apparently didn't hear me, and then Mommy decided to take you two for a stroll in the carriage so that Ms. Allie could get a good walk in. Mommy walked for miles, and then decided we needed some park playtime. We headed to Foster and played for about an hour. As we were leaving, you Bodhi asked to get ice cream at J's ice cream right across from Foster Park. Mommy thought for sure it wouldn't be open, but surprisingly it was. However, Ms. Allie was with us, so Mommy had to stick her head in the door and asked if Mr. J minded bringing us our ice cream to us outside. You both ordered a bowl of red, white, and BLUE "Super Man/Woman" ice cream, and Mommy ordered a vanilla coke. Mr. J was happy to serve us, and he loved Ms. Allie :) You two then ate your ice cream, you both were blue little messy smurfs! On our walk home, we ran into Autumn on her bike. Mommy gave her some money to go get herself an ice cream since she had such a horrible day. She cheered up and was appreciative.
Once home Mommy ordered you both directly to the bath. You both were happy to comply. You both were a sticky mess! After baths you both went to sleep. A storm is rolling in, so Mommy put the cats up early and got busy on my nightly chores. Sweet dreams my sweet babes! We had yet another awesome day!!!

Mr. Arlo waited on the porch the entire 2 1/2 hours we were gone. It was cool enough for him tolerate. |
