Unannounced Drop-In On Grandmoo

Here it is Sunday, and I'm trying to remember what all happened Friday but I can't even remember what happened yesterday.  Oh yeah, Mommy got busy paying bills while you two occupied yourselves, mainly by pestering one another, you two eventually work it out though.  Come mid-morning the door bell rang, of course that signals Ms. Allie and Mr. Arlo to start barking, and you two to start screaming, "who is it Momma, who is it."  We could never manage to hide from an unwanted visitor, you two would give us up and we'd look like fools ha/ha or a-holes :)

GiGi brought over a recipe for cucumber and onions, and she played with you both while Mommy sliced the onions and cucumbers to soak in the juice.  Daddy has been craving this for the past week and he has been pestering everyone to get him a recipe (as if, he wanted someone to make it for him ha/ha).  After GiGi's brief visit, Mommy took you both outside to play.  You both wanted desperately to play outside in the sandbox.  So, outside we went!  We became red-faced and sweaty almost immediately.  WOW, it was hot!  You two melted, so we went indoors to get some cold cold water and Mommy made you two lunch.  Now I know there was something that was hilarious that happened around this time, but for the life of me, I can't remember arrrrgh!  Naps came and gone, dinner was eaten, and then we took Ms. Allie for a nice long walk.  The dang carriage tire was flat, despite Mommy's many attempts to re-inflate it.  So we transferred our things to the wagon and roughed it.  You two seemed to enjoy the change, but of course toward the end, you two kept kicking and fussing at each other.  So everyone on the street could hear, "Mommy, tell Bubby to quit kicking me," "No, Bo Bo, No,"  "You two be nice!"  Every night, same exact spot, we have this same exact conversation (loudly).  Mommy needs to change up our route.  After our walk Mommy went to our old house to mow and then cleaned out my car for work tomorrow.

Mommy came home and tried making a phone call to a new Spanish speaking client, only to have you two bust in the room (at Daddy's direction) and disrupt this already confusing phone call, Uggghg!  Mommy then was left to get you both down for bedtime (covered in grass and dirt from mowing), you Jude took some Tylenol for your runny nose and sore throat, Bodhi, you went down easily, but you were back up in a matter of minutes.  Mommy (who was upset with Daddy and picking up kitchen messes while cursing him under my breath) turned around and there you stood, Bodhi,  in the middle of kitchen with a big smile on your face :) Ha/Ha.  Mommy asked you what you were doing and you said, "I want to watch you Momma."  This is your way of saying, I'm not ready for bed, and I know if I flatter you with wanting to watch you clean, nothing more, you'll let me stay up later.  Mommy carried you to the car, along with all of our recyclables, and we headed to the recycle bin.  As we were leaving, you said, "Mommy, our old house, lets go see Grandmoo."  You are so stinking smart, you know where you are all throughout Kokomo.  Mommy still gets turned around ha/ha  Well anyway, it's only 10:00 p.m. at night and I haven't finished cleaning or preparing for work Saturday (I picked up some extra work to help my co-workers out), let's go visit Grandmoo. Grandmoo was so excited to see you, and you were super excited to see her (gag me with a fork), you two started hugging and playing, while Mommy announced we weren't staying long.  You and Grandmoo tagged teamed Mommy and half hour by half hour, you both suckered Mommy into allowing you two to play longer.  You ended your visit by having Grandmoo paint your fingers and toes a pretty pink.  11:30 p.m. rolled around and we headed home.  Mommy did minimal cleaning, packed up my work materials, and tucked you into bed (finally). And that is why the blog didn't get done Friday :)  Oh well.  You and Grandmoo had fun!

Only one picture from today :(... but it's a precious one!

Treasure Chests

Daddy was up and moving this morning, full force.  He didn't look good, but he looked better than he has in a long time.  Thankfully he felt up to making coffee, it was nice to roll out of bed (after you woke up Jude) and pour a cup of coffee.

Mommy made you two breakfast and then we started our day of play.  You two played and ran around while Mommy took a quick shower, Mommy has the shower time down to science... just enough time to prevent you, Buddha, from getting into some major trouble!  Wow you keep Momma moving!

We then headed outside.  Mommy took your guy's table and chairs outside and set up a work space on our driveway.  You two got busy painting your treasure chests.  Buddha, you more interested in painting your body than you were your box.  Bodhi, you created a master piece, with very little mess (that's my girl).  After painting them, Mommy made lunch and you two played in the sandbox.  Oh boy, Mommy had to spray you guys down with a hose, so the sand was stuck to every inch of your bodies.  After lunch, Mommy had set up all the goodies for you to Mod Podge, but you told Mommy to do it for you, you two were ready for bed, wow!  Bodhi, you were so funny, you said, "Mommy surprise me,"  Jude, when Mommy laughed you repeated, "Mommy surprise me." So you two went down for your afternoon nap, and Mommy got busy putting the final touches on your treasure chests :)

Bodhi, you awakened just as Daddy arrived home from work, early.  He made it a half day, but he couldn't take a full day.  Daddy decided while Mommy was finishing your treasure chests, he would take Mommy's checks to the bank, and pick up a pizza for dinner.  You two slept late today.  Buddha, you awakened right after Bo and Daddy left.  You climbed Mommy like a tree.  You had snot running down your face, which angered you, and you wanted "up, Momma, up."  You would not let Mommy put you down.  You were obviously feeling horrible.  Mommy gave you some Tylenol and cuddled you up in a blankey.  You laid on top of Mommy, asking constantly, "Mommy, pizza??"  Once Daddy and Bodhi arrived back home, we all enjoyed a pizza party dinner.  Afterwards, Mommy took you both outside to play.  We took Ms. Allie on a much needed long long long walk.  When we returned home, you both again played in the sandbox while Mommy put various project materials in the garage in anticipation of hurricane rains moving in our way.  Ms. Susan stopped by and visited with you both.  You both love Ms. Susan and shower her with hugs and kisses... Ms. Susan loves it, even if you two are covered in sand and snot.  Bodhi, you reported you had to go potty, so Mommy put you inside.  Buddha, you stayed outside playing and visiting with Ms. Susan, we were both waiting for Bodhi to come back outside, but she never did.  We then went inside and Buddha, you announced, "bath time Bodhi!"  The tub was filled with sand, but better the tub and then in every crevice of your bodies.

Bodhi, you requested to set up shop for a slumber party downstairs, and Jude, Mommy gave you some more medicine and rocked you to sleep. Mommy's friend made you, Buddha (and your sister) the cutest wall hangings for your room, I had yours hanging over your small window above your crib since we've moved in... the sun is super bright in your Mr. Sunshine room... but it had fallen down yesterday (I think you pulled it down).  Anyway, the moon is full and shines brightly through your window.  Buddha, you were mesmerized by the moon and kept pointing and yelling, "Bodhi, Mooooooon!"  Mommy told you that Bodhi saw the moon, after all she's our moon baby.  You both are now sleeping soundly, and Mommy didn't make her goal of getting to bed before 10:00 p.m., It's well past midnight, maybe tomorrow?

Nighty night my sweet babes!  I love you, I love you more, I love you to the moon and back, sweet dreams, don't let the bed bugs bite, see you in the morning, tomorrow's a Mommy day, nighty night, love you :)  as we say nightly!

PS I added the Bob Dylan video as well as a concert picture... I know, finally!

Mommy's little artists!!  LOVE my babes!

She may take after her Daddy in most ways...but she's Momma's best friend and little artist!

You tried! :) xoxoxo

Art in undies ha/ha!  You two and your hatred for pants... that's all Daddy!

BEA-U-TI-FUL!

YAY! Now you're rolling!

Arlo was modeling for the two of you hee/hee really that's his normal position, sunbathing of course!
I tried taking a picture of the finished treasure chests, but the finish on them glared the picture :(  They turned out awesome!

Moon!

Back Pains and Tummy Aches, Oh My!

Today Mommy was back on track.  Mommy took a quick shower, threw my wet hair in my normal "Mommy bun," and we set out for some groceries and some additional cans of stain for our fence :)  Mommy had hoped we would get to the creation of our treasure chests, but again today we were just too busy.  Mommy finally talked Daddy into making a doctor's appointment and he was prescribed an antibiotic.  Daddy was up and moving around more this morning, I think in anticipation of returning to work tomorrow, ugggh! It was nice to see Daddy moving!

Mommy hasn't been able to volunteer at the animal shelter in quite some time, so today, Mommy arranged for GiGi and Gi-Pa to care for you two while I went and cared for some precious fuzzy butts!  Mommy volunteered for three hours.  Mommy had left after I got you two down for a nap, however, Daddy reports you both awakened right after I left.  GiGi came and got you both with big plans for dinner :)  Oh how Mommy misses GiGi's meals!  Mommy called after volunteering to check in on you two... GiGi requested additional play time after dinner, and Jude, I could hear you in the background yelling, "No Momma!"  Ha/Ha, whenever I arrive to pick you up from GiGi or Grandmoo, you always yell, "No Momma, No!"

Mommy then got busy!  I mowed our yard, scooped all the poo, cared for all the fuzzy butts, and started staining a section of our fence, by our outdoor dining room area.  It's not what I had in mind, and I don't think I'm going to do all of our fence ha/ha, but it's kind of neat for around the dining area... we'll see where it goes, it's still in the early stages.

After picking you both up from GiGi's and Gi-Pa's, Mommy took you both to pick up Daddy's prescription, you both were asleep within minutes!  No naps and an evening at GiGi's and Gi-Pa's took it out of you two!  When I picked you two up, GiGi and Gi-Pa reported that they couldn't believe how much you two ate, and well, you two were your usual crazy evening selves which baffled GiGi and Gi-Pa since you two hadn't napped.  Boy you two get out of control come evening time.  Anyway, Mommy carried you both in, one by one, and tucked you both into bed.  I decided tonight would be the first night in years that I would get to bed before 10:00 p.m.  ha, yeah right!  Jude, you awakened first.  Mommy rocked you and rubbed your tushy while you gassed, you obviously had a tummy ache, you were soaking wet too :(  Bodhi, you followed your brother, you were crying that your tummy was hurting... of course you both have tummy aches, GiGi said you two ate her out of house and home!  Mommy finally got you both settled, a couple of hours later, and then here comes Daddy ha/ha  He's been sleeping on the couch since his surgery and back issues.  Daddy said he felt lonely downstairs ha/ha Mommy told him tough, he could lay for a minute but that Mommy wanted a "snore-free," entire-bed-comfy kinda sleep! So, 1:00 a.m. finally rolled around and Mommy was able to finally fall asleep... I should have turned the convention off, I won't go there hee/hee Anyway, I will get to bed before 10:00 p.m. in the next couple of weeks, it's my #1 goal!

PS I forgot to send the camera, so no precious kiddo pictures today :(

Who knew there were so many outdoor semi-transparent stains?  I left a space for an additional color, and it's obviously not finished, but I had originally intended to just stain random planks traditional wood tone colors, but once I got to the stores, I couldn't resist all the colors.  Thankfully there were only three quarts at both Menards and Lowes, or I would have picked up at least 15 different colors ha/ha!  I may have to rough them up and then seal them again, I'm not digging "newness" of the stains!

I of course have to touch-up what I've done so far, and I plan to have tons of candle sconces hanging all over this wall by the dining table.

Again, this is our concert umbrella... not the right umbrella for the table, and the table will be relocated once our long rectangular table is finished.  I still have to build our trellis too... I'm using to 8ft. very old and awesome screen doors to make the trellis :)

Mommy's "Off" Day

No Mommy didn't get the day off from babies nor work, Mommy just woke up feeling "off."  Usually a cup of coffee does the trick and we are off to the races... but not this morning.  Mommy lounged, played, and lounged with you two some more.  We didn't even go downstairs to say hi to Daddy and eat breakfast for a good hour after waking up... though I believe you tried waking and conversing with Daddy very early this morning Bo because you later reported that Daddy "hurt your heart" by telling you to go be with Mommy.  Mommy eventually made breakfast, waffles and juice, and then we headed back upstairs to play.  Bodhi, you wanted to go outside and play in the sandbox, but we all were distracted and didn't make it outside before nap time.  Before we knew it, it was lunch time.  You both ate lunch and Mommy vacuumed and mopped downstairs.  After lunch you both wanted to take a nap, with the request to watch "Chicken Run," and "Puss In Boots."  Mommy put you to bed with your movies playing, and then I too retired to bed.  Daddy actually moved once you two were down for your naps ha/ha figures!  Mommy tried asking Daddy how he felt, but talking to Daddy is still like talking to a bear... he growls, he moans, and Mommy easily distracted, can't seem to wait the 20 minutes it takes for Daddy to answer a simple question ha/ha  So, by observation only, Mommy believes Daddy is still feeling horrible.  You two have been pretty much "Daddyless" for the past week, but you both are dealing.

After naps, Mommy finally got you both dressed and we headed to our old house to spray some smell goods and pick up peaches before the scheduled showing.  Then we headed to JoAnn Fabrics for some additional fabrics and supplies for your room Bodhi.  Good thing Mommy is creative otherwise these frequent craft store trips would be very expensive!  However, Mommy has this new idea for our fence... Mommy gets these brilliant ideas and then I have to at least try them out or I'll go crazy.  Mommy newest idea is to stain every picket a different wood tone ha/ha  OH BOY!  This may not only get expensive, but it's another time consuming project, and I need to get my craft room walls done (my last "brilliant" idea).  So, we headed to Menards to speak with a paint specialist.  Mommy wants the wood grain to show, but I want the fence to look as though each picket was a salvaged piece of wood hee/hee After my consultation, I bought three containers of semi-transparent outdoor stains/sealer... a dark wood color, a gray blue, and a medium tone.  Mommy had four others picked out, but they ran out of the quarts in the product, so I have to wait to get the others.  Mommy's passion (aside from my work and animals) my hobby, my love (aside from you two) is and always will be, decorating and home improvement projects.  It's absolutely my favorite creative outlet, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and I love that you two enjoy watching and helping Mommy.  You two are certain to be two little Mommy me's :)  Mommy finds it humerus when people ask what I'll do when I get our house "done," oh it will NEVER be done. I will think and discover new ways to improve every detail of our home, from floor to ceiling!  :)

After our shopping trips, we drove by our Leeds house to close all the window.  Mommy saw that Grandpa was at Grandmoo's, so Mommy dropped you both off and went home to start dinner.  Grandpa had called while we were shopping, he wanted to see you two and drop off some vegetables.

Tomorrow you both will be decorating your very own treasure boxes.  You both love to collect treasures on our daily adventures (other than Mommy's "off" days) so you need a special place to store them.  Currently, you, Bodhi store your treasures in a shoe box, Mommy finds this unacceptable :)  So we'll have treasure boxes to show off in tomorrow's blog entry.  Oh and Mommy still hasn't uploaded your Bob Dylan dancing videos... I'll get to it on an "on day."

Sweet dreams my sweet babes!  Tomorrow will be more exciting, I promise!

PS  When Mommy previously spoke of the sometimes "strained Grills' mother/daughter relationships"  I was only speaking of GiGi, Grandmoo and myself... no further generations :)  Grandmoo was concerned that people (family) would think that we were speaking of generations further back, which wasn't the case.  Mommy didn't mean for this comment to be a necessarily negative comment either... GiGi, Grandmoo, and myself are all completely different people, in almost every way, however, we are very much alike in our poor communication skills, specifically with one another  ha/ha (yes, that's kind of negative) so unfortunately we often cause each other stress unintentionally, all because none of us can effectively communicate with one another.  I guess we all do have a quirky sense of humor, so Bodhi, you'll fit right in that sense!

Buddha, you kept eating and eating and eating!  You loved the fish, tattor tots, and corn!

Bodhi waiting on Buddha to finish eating so we could take Ms. Allie on a walk.  You said, "Mommy my belly is full!"

Bodhi, you took this picture ha/ha :)

Rainy Day Monday

Good Morning my Baby Boy Buddha Sunshine!  After about 4 1/2 hours of sleep (which is and always will be 4 and 1/2 hours too little for Mommy) Buddha, you woke as Mommy took the first step out of bed!  Last Monday, both you and myself were very upset we didn't get to give each other morning sugars before I left for work.  You expressed your disapproval to both Daddy and Aunt Ti, you wanted your Momma!  Well, this morning, you were sure to get your morning lovin's before falling back to sleep.  Luckily for Momma, Momma awakened on time and with everything ready to go, so I had plenty of time to rock you, kiss you, and hug you back to sleep before getting ready for work :) I know I felt better, and since you went back to sleep, I believe you were satisfied as well.

I know reading this you don't realize how long it takes Mommy to write these entries, hee/hee but  tonight Mommy is distracted, I'm grudgingly watching the Republican Convention and listening to Chris Matthews commentary ha/ha... Mommy LOVES Chris Matthews!  You always have to listen and pay careful attention to the "other side."  I still have no answers as to what Romney stands for????

Anyway, Mommy tried talking Daddy into allowing me to have GiGi or Aunt Ti come pick the two of you up, rather than have Daddy drive... he wouldn't hear of it, even though I don't quite know if he was "all there" when speaking to him.  Mommy and Sister Kelly have been deciding if Daddy can go to work and Sister Kelly, who works with Daddy, has been getting subs for Daddy in advance.  Well, I told Daddy he wasn't going to work today... he literally hasn't moved from the couch for more than a half hour, but of course he didn't listen.  Mommy text Aunt Ti to ask that she be ready to get you two out of the car... even though I know I didn't need to, Aunt Ti is one of the most considerate and thoughtful people, she would have already been waiting... but it was more for my peace of mind!  Daddy then was driving to work when he called Sister Kelly to tell her he couldn't make it and that he was going home... duhhhh, we already knew he wouldn't be able to do it.  Had it covered Daddy... Thank you Sister Kelly! BTW, Sister Kelly has several Daddy recordings of him being a crazy old man ha/ha!  She has shared these with co-workers as a comedic break from their hectic day HA/HA!

Anyway, Mommy drove to Lafayette only to have her clients cancel their visits with their children... I can't even tell you how much this upsets me.  I am just going to say this, with 100% certainty, come hell or high water, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING would keep me from seeing the two of you, but maybe that is why their children were removed from their care to begin with.    I am very sympathetic and I truly understand shit happens, people make mistakes, and everyone deserves some type of chance to change or make right with their situation, but Mommy's career has been a growing area of frustration lately!  I just can't understand it, it's absolutely driving me crazy.  Maybe I'll just ask them, my blunt straight forward approach has enjoyed success with families in the past, maybe I'll gain some insight and answers so I won't drive myself crazy. We'll see!

So, Mommy did some work at the Lafayette office, text Aunt Ti to see what time she preferred me to pick you guys up, and enjoyed some Mommy time shopping.  Daddy was at home sleeping,  so Brother Aaron was sent over to our house by Sister Kelly to take care of our hounds (which I had no clue Sister Kelly had arranged)  Thank you Sister Kelly!!  Aunt Ti reported that you both were having a blast and didn't want to go home.  YAY!  I love that you two have been diggin' your Aunt Ti time!

Mommy worked on your wall hangings Bo, when Grandmoo came over.  She had brought Daddy one of his medications, thinking it was the new antibiotic we were waiting for his doctor to call in, but it wasn't :(  Daddy thinks he has Pneumonia, he has a horrible cough, and it makes sense that he does since he hasn't been up and moving... working his lungs out as his doctor instructed him to.    Anyway, Grandmoo and Mommy went through fabrics, Grandmoo was searching for a fabric to cover her footstool, and Mommy showed her all my recent "Bodhi room" projects :)  Grandmoo loves your room Bo Bo girl :)  Grandpa showed up a little while later.  He was disappointed that the two of you weren't home.

Mommy left Daddy on the couch sleeping, and Grandpa talking to Grandmoo as she fed the kitties for Momma, and I drove to retrieve you two.  You both were excited to see me, which makes me oh so happy.  On our way home, we drove with all the windows down, Bob Dylan blaring, and you two sang and danced.  We really had a nice drive home.  Mommy made a cd years ago, and well "Hey Jude," by the Beatles also played hee/hee and Bodhi you went nuts.  You kept saying, "Bubby it's your song."  Bodhi, you quickly picked up on the words and were singing it to Buddha. You were so adorable.  Buddha, you were not amused.  Mommy had your car seat facing backwards... Mommy had turned it around for work to transport a 10 month old, and well your legs were jammed against the seat and you were so uncomfortable, poor guy.  I guess you are legally supposed to be facing backwards until the age of two, despite meeting the weight requirement to face forward.  Dr. Zentz told Mommy to face you forward because you are huge for your age.  After your uncomfortable drive home, Mommy turned your seat back around.

Mommy got you both down for night night time, and then took Ms. Allie for a walk.  Sweet dreams my sweet babes.

Big School Boy Andrew and Bodhi girl!  Bo, you LOVE Andrew!

"Watch this..."

Peek-a-boo!

My beautiful ORNERY baby boy!  Man oh man, you give Mommy and Aunt Ti a run for our money!

My preciously sweet and beautiful baby Big Girl!

I cannot wait to learn what you're passionate about and what you want to be when you grow up... You are so incredibly bright, and anyone only has to tell you something once, you never forget!

Buddha, you are also incredibly smart, but Mommy knows you are going to be some type of Pro ball player!!! You are obsessed with sports, balls, and physical activity

Best Friends

Wow, after reading "Hello Bob Dylan" Mommy is embarrassed... I was super tired and it showed in the numerous writing errors... I'll be fixing those soon!  Our Sunday, per our usual routine, was a no-rest Sunday.  Sadly, Mommy missed several photo opportunities, in which you two embraced each other with a great big hug!

Daddy decided today was going to be the day he got off the couch and out and about.  FAIL!  Daddy went to one store, and we had to return home.  Daddy was dizzy and nauseated to the point he didn't know if he could handle the car ride back home :(  Daddy returned to his spot on the couch for the remainder of the day and all through the night.

We on the other hand, had a very busy day.  Jude, you wanted Mommy to turn on your little piano, but the batteries had died.  Mommy explained that we needed new batteries, and before I knew it you headed downstairs.  Mommy kept yelling, "Jude," and you would say, "ok Mommy, ok Mommy."  You returned minutes later with a screw driver in your hand.  You turned the piano over and tried unscrewing the screws where the batteries are located.  OK, that is just plain amazing!  You love to play with Mommy's tools, but you actually know how to use them!!  When the flat head screw driver didn't work, you again went back downstairs and returned with a phillips, yep, that's my boy!!!  Bodhi you confirmed for Mommy, "Bubby fix's everything, Bubby will fix it."  Grandmoo later reported that you, Jude, when at her house later in the day, laid eyes on Grandmoo's electric screw driver, started shouting, "Mommy's tool, Mommy's tool."  Grandmoo could not convince you that she too has an electric screw driver ha/ha

After playing and after attempting some outside time with Daddy, you both went down for a nap.  When you awakened we all headed to Grandmoo's.  Grandmoo agreed to play with you both while Mommy mowed at our old house across the street.  It started pouring as Mommy was mowing, so you both went inside Grandmoo's to play.  Mommy managed to get the lawn mowed and all the peaches cleaned up, but Grandmoo insisted that Mommy go home and take a shower, then return to get you guys!! YAY shower!

When Mommy returned to pick you both up, you both were wearing one of Grandmoo's shirts (this always happens).  You two had played outside and got all muddy.  Mommy returned, with dinner, and you two ate at Grandmoo's before we returned home.  Bodhi, you and Mommy are now "best friends,"  Mommy asked if you would be my best friend, and you said, "Awwww Mommy, yes we're best friends.'  Jude, you were being your usual ornery evening self and when Mommy would ask you if you would be Mommy's best friend, you would laugh hysterically and say, "No Daddy," or "No Bodhi."  You love to get Mommy going :)

Sweet dreams my sweet babes.  Mommy has you all packed and ready to go to Aunt Ti's tomorrow!

Since Mommy was a failure and didn't get any pictures of the two of you, I'm including a recent completed project... Buddha's dresser :)

The paint drips were there prior to Mommy's re-do... so Mommy had to add a glaze to make it the prior drips look purposeful :)  Plus, I just plain love glaze hee/hee

Hello Mr. Bob Dylan!

After last year's Bob Dylan concert experience, Mommy and Daddy agreed, this year we would be doing Bob differently!  Mommy and Daddy celebrate our anniversary every year by going to see Dylan in concert.  Last year Mommy and Daddy made it back to our hotel, but had no memory of how we made it back (very scary), plus the transmission in our car pooped out the next day, which resulted in Daddy having to drive back a couple of weeks later (after a 3 1/2 hour car ride) to pick up our fixed car, $2,000 dollars in damages, ugggh!  So, this year we decided we would share  the Dylan experience and make it a family event.  However, Daddy's back surgery has had him down and out longer than anyone anticipated.  Mommy insisted that Daddy stay home... no way could I manage you two little rug rats by myself, while caring for Daddy who can hardly walk or talk!  Daddy suggested that we ask Sean Franky to go with us.  Luckily Sean Franky was free and agreed to accompany us to Dylan!  YAY!

Mommy played with you both all morning long while tending to things around the house that needed to be done, of course, and then you two went down for a nap.  Mommy took care of the hounds, felines, and packed the stroller in car for the concert.  By the time Mommy finished, you two woke up from your naps, roaring and ready to go.  Mommy knew it was going to be a long night, and Mommy was already exhausted from today and the past week... so Mommy and Daddy closed off the living room, and while you two played, Mommy and Daddy snoozed on the couches.. well, as much as you can snooze with you two jumping on me and even Daddy!  It was getting close to concert time, so Mommy left you both in Daddy's hands, oh boy, and so I got dressed and put on some makeup.  Unfortunately for Daddy, this was your guy's new "crazy time," and all I heard was, "No, No, No..." Mommy felt bad because you two really get out of control in the evenings these days.  Mommy rushed and got last minute items packed when GiGi and Grandmoo showed up to bring Daddy dinner and some goodies.  They squealed when they laid eyes on the two of you in your concert suits!  Jude, they said you looked like a little five year old man ha/ha and Bodhi, you little hippie princess, you looked so stinkin' sweet!  After some pictures we hit the road, blowing in the wind!

Franky and Mommy had never attended a concert at White River State Park in Indy, so we relied on our navigation, which led us astray a bit.  We eventually made it, making the horrible mistake of parking in a hotel parking garage, which set us back $20.00 dollars, but we eventually arrived safely.  Bob was already playing and there was no where to sit (in the lawn) so we sat in the very back, and Bodhi, that's when you had a total meltdown.  You were crying hysterically and saying, "that's not Bob Dylan," and "I can't see Bob."  Oh man!  After a couple of walks, both with Franky and myself, we finally got you back to "Happy Bodhi," you danced and had a blast.  You and little man Buddha spent most of the concert running up and down the hill, while occassionally stopping to dance.  Everyone got a kick out of the two of you.  Then came the dreaded words, "Mommy, I have to go potty."  Well, you can say your first "porta potty" experience was at a Bob Dylan concert... it was quite disgusting!  We made it through though, despite you touching the urinal while asking, "what's this,"  I almost had a heart attack :).

After the concert we were all held up, Dylan's bus drove by.  Jude, you were in Mommy's and you got to wave to Dylan as he drove by hee/hee Bodhi, you were in the stroller being pushed by Franky, but you too got to see the bus, but I don't think you knew that Dylan was inside.  Mommy is sad that Daddy didn't get to enjoy watching you two at your first Dylan concert, but we'll go again next year.

Jude, you passed out immediately in the car.  Bo, you stayed awake listening to Mommy and Franky talk hee/hee we stopped off at Starbucks to assist us with getting home, and Bodhi, you enjoyed a "not-so-hot hot chocolate," Franky tasted it and then named it,  before giving it to you :) Franky's such a good big bro!

We made it home just after midnight, and off to bed you two went.  Sweet Dylan dreams my sweet sweet babes :)

PS  Mommy will add the video and cell phone concert pictures tomorrow.  It's 1:00 a.m. and Mommy has to get up at 6am for work (I'm actually writing this Sunday night).

Pre-concert :)

A nice Bob Dylan-goer snapped this shot... Bob Dylan between us :)

"You hurt my heart!"

This morning was another morning without Daddy.  He's still not doing so well and sleeping around the clock.  However, I have to admit, Mommy is loving every minute with you two.  Mommy had just got out of the shower when GiGi made an unannounced drop on us hee/hee  You two were playing and running from room to room upstairs while I was getting cleaned up, but when you two saw GiGi, you both stopped in your tracks and greeted her with a "GiGi!"  GiGi decided to take you two to her house for a couple of hours, she was needing a Bodhi and Buddha fix.    You both left at about 11:00 a.m. and returned home at 1:30 p.m. in time for your afternoon nap.  Mommy managed to re-clean all of our carpets.  There have been some major pee, poo, and puke action going on... on my recently cleaned carpets uggggh!  So, I spent my "free" time cleaning the carpets for a second time in the last two months, it's not fun!

After naps we spent the evening playing both inside and out.  You both helped Mommy with a project for Bodhi's room, I've been working on late night... framing fabrics.  Bo, you've been really hateful toward me at times lately, so this evening Mommy asked, "Bo, what's wrong, has Mommy done something to upset you?"  To which you answered, "Noooo Mommy, I love you so much!"  You melted my heart!  You are now saying, and I have no idea where you picked it up either... "Oh you hurt my heart."  You say it when anyone says or does anything that upsets you, and I have to admit, you are the sweetest when the tears roll down your face and you say, "you hurt my heart."  You are so stinkin' sweet and incredibly smart :)  I have to say, Mommy's heart has been hurting, worried about what is going on with you BoBo Baby Big Girl!  Mommy wants us to have a loving, healthy, happy mother/daughter relationship... not a strained relationship (typical of us Grills' women).

Buddha, I don't know what is up with you, other than you are still in your "Terrific Two's." Every night at about 7:00 p.m., you go CRAZY WILD.  It's like someone gave you a Monster drink, it's crazy.  Then you get your sister going and you two are unstoppable!  Getting you two settled for bed has been a challenge.  You both cling to me and say, "No Momma!"  However, Mommy manages to get you two happily settled into bed :)  GO Momma!

PS I had GiGi giggling today... she and Grandmoo are of course worried about Daddy, and constantly checking in with Daddy and myself.  GiGi said to me, "are you babying Michael?"  Mommy laughed, "Babying him?"  "Well, he gets food when requested and I have been taking care of the Bodhi and Buddha outside of the house for ten hours a day, what more could he want?"  I then had to remind GiGi, yeah, he's sleeping soundly and peacefully 24 hours a day, if that's not babying him I don't know what is."  GiGi thought this was funny, Mommy of course phrased it differently than I'm actually expressing it here ha/ha... you can only imagine.  Come on Daddy, get feeling better we all miss you!

Sweet Dreams my sweet babes!  I love you both so much, and I don't want either of you to ever have a hurt heart!

There's my Happy Bodhi Girl!  I love to see you smiling!

Keeping Baby Ella and Dora Kitty out of the sandbox was quite challenging!

Happy Anniversary Momma and Daddy!

Mommy actually remembered... first time in eight years (at least that I can remember) that I remembered our Anniversary and Daddy didn't.  Daddy's still recovering, he's at least walking around, but not very well.

Mommy again kept you two out of the house all day.  This morning Mommy made breakfast and then we were off to the stores.  Buddha, Mommy was so thrilled that you decided to sleep in, it gave Mommy enough time to take a shower YAY!  Thank you Sister Kelly for wearing Buddha and Bodhi out last night!

After breakfast we dropped a bag of shoes off at the Rescue Mission, and then we were off to get some things from several stores.  We went to the pet store to get Mr. Arlo and Ms. Allie their "super special" dog food, and then we stopped off at Hobby Lobby to pick up some frames... Mommy came up a plan for some wall art in our living room :) and then we headed to Menards to get cat food and some cleaning supplies.  You both wanted chicken nuggets for lunch, which is rare, so Mommy stopped off and got you both some chicken nuggets for lunch.  When we arrived home Uncle Rudy and Uncle Joe were visiting Daddy.  Uncle Rudy helped Mommy carry in all of our goods (thank goodness), and then you two went down for your afternoon naps.  You both slept and slept and slept.  Mommy had promised you both a trip to the park to play once you to awakened, and well, when you both were up, we started to get ready to go.  However, Grandpa stopped by to visit, so our trip was delayed a bit.  Mommy was going to pack dinner to eat at the park, but Grandpa decided he would join us for some play time at the park, so you two ate dinner before leaving.

Grandpa Kurt played with you both while Mommy took Ms. Allie for a walk around the park.  When we returned everyone wanted to pet Ms. Allie, and Ms. Allie allowed everyone to love on her without incident (thank goodness).  You two played a while longer, Bodhi, you collecting moon rocks and special treasures for your treasure box, and you, Buddha, eating rocks!  I don't know why you are eating rocks lately ugggh!  After a couple of hours at the park, Bodhi, you saw that Crazy J's Ice Cream shop (across from the park) was open and asked if we could get some before returning home.  Grandpa had to get home, so Mommy drove us all over, leaving poor Ms. Allie in the car with the air conditioner going, and we went inside and enjoyed some Super Woman and Super Man, red, white, and blue ice cream.  Buddha, you of course were a horrible mess :)-  So when we arrived home, it was bath time, well, after I rounded up the kitties.

After baths, you both went down for the night.  Sweet dreams my sweet babes!  You were Mommy's best anniversary date ever :)  Hopefully Daddy will be feeling better tomorrow!

It was a "NO Mommarazzi" day for you Bodhi!

Some park time with Grandpa :)

Yep, a mess!

An artistic take on our family portrait wall in our Alice In Wonderland dining room :) Mommy needs to clean the frames!  Bodhi, you are flying toward the moon, Buddha, you're the bandit, Daddy's the Mad Hatter, and Mommy the animal lover :) Art work by The Black Apple
