Super Bo (and Happy Birthday Sister Kelly Day)

Today was expressly a Super Bo day, our young Gypsy Princess is doing remarkably well in her newly acquired interest in becoming a “big girl” through potty training. Actually, both of you Bodhi and Buddha are impressive in our beginning adventure to potty train, but Mommy and Daddy agree that you are physically struggling to control yourself, Buddha, but you are clearly trying! Mommy gets the outstanding parent prize for her patience and persistence in her potty training plan for both of you!

You had one mishap at home today, Ms. Bodhi, and after a morning with Mommy the two of you were off for your day with Aunt Ti, where you had no “accidents” at all! Yeah, Ms. Bodhi!!! You went potty FOUR times and Aunt Ti was relieved that you didn’t potty on her new furniture.  Aunt Ti was an absolute nervous wreck, seven kids, one of whom was potty training!  Aunt Ti reported you both had a good day with her and your extended family at the Cavazos home, as is usually the case. When you got home, you both enjoyed some time outside with Mommy and enjoyed a surprise visit from Brother Aaron and Birthday Girl, Sister Kelly—Happy Birthday Sister Kelly!!! The two of you, with Mommy’s assistance of course, sent a precious “Happy Birthday video” to your Sister Kelly—she loved it, and she loves the two of you!!!

Tuesdays are regularly grueling days for Daddy, in the work department, typically up very early (around 5 a.m.---and commonly with you, our precious Ms. BodhiJ) and off to work by 8:30 a.m. until his 6 p.m. domestic violence intervention job and then home shortly after 8 p.m., and today was especially exhausting for Daddy for some reason. Back continues to ache, and tomorrow a scheduled consult with the surgeon will likely result in a scheduled surgery soon. Frankly, Daddy (and probably everyone) is looking forward to getting this back pain resolved.

Before bedtime for you, Super Bo, you and Mommy had your evening walk with Allie. You were back early, as Mommy explained you apparently were a little too tired to go far (and Mommy also reported a man on a bicycle addressing Mommy with a request for her name and then for money, and so Daddy reiterated his plea she never walk without the designated “stick”---and of course Daddy quietly raged that the man will never likely know how he narrowly escaped an ass-kicking [the two of you will someday come to understand and intellectually contemplate that your Daddy has a violence-prone capability within him, which he has for the most part successfully managed in a civilized manner, but uncivilized behavior on the part of others, especially directed at his loved ones, activates in Daddy an instinct to address such predators and uncouth ass-holes decisively and with all necessary, uninhibited force]). You will both also learn that your mother is quite capable of protecting herself and her family without intervention from Daddy, and each of you in time will learn such self-protection and protection-of-your-loved-ones instincts and techniques, as well. Someday, Daddy will sit down with the two of you and watch the marathon “Lonesome Dove” and will discuss with you it’s important life lessons—and you will then fully comprehend that Daddy has no tolerance and patience for rude behavior in a manJ.

Anyway, after our beloved Viking Prince, Mister Buddha settled down for bedtime, Mommy and Ms. Bodhi and Ms. Allie did your regular evening stroll. Mommy reported that she wants Daddy to join her and the two of you for an evening walk to observe how beautiful some of the homes are in the evening in our neighborhood—leave it to Mommy to always find the most beautiful point of focus in a given set of circumstances---we are so lucky!!! So, we’re scheduling an evening walk (and Daddy secretly is hoping for a chance meeting with a certain bicyclistJ). So---back to the narrative, after you rejoined Daddy at home, Bodhi, Mommy (with the “stick”) and Allie went back out for their evening stroll (Ms. Allie goes bonkers without her evening strollJ).

Overall, another good day in the neighborhoodJ, and don’t worry Buddha it won’t be long before you are a “Super Buddha” and are mastering the potty training challengeJ. Sleep safely and peacefully, our precious cargo—another journey along the mellow brick road is recorded in our journal.

Peace, and thank you Mommy! And Happy Birthday, precious Sister Kelly!!!
