A Mellow Brick Road...: Mommy Knows Best :)

Ha! So Buddha, Mommy is super proud of you but guess who woke up this morning wanting in on the potty action... yep, your sister! Mommy knew if I got you going potty on the big boy potty, wearing big boy panties, and enjoying the "potty treats," your sister would have to get in on all the fun too, and it worked! Bodhi, you pleasantly surprised Mommy when you said, "Momma, I want to wear my Dora panties and go potty too." So, Mommy went from one little potty person to two potty people in one day. Buddha, after our one very intense potty training day, something changed with you. It's difficult to describe, but it's as though you started talking more, and in complete sentences, you were easier to handle in that you were listening more, and you weren't poo'ing and pee'ing as frequently and the consistency changed, TMI, I know ha/ha but like I said, it's hard to describe but it's as though you lost some of your precious "baby'ness." :( You still didn't pee or poo in the potty on your own, and you never went when Mommy sat you on the potty, but you did recognize right away when you did go and you ran to tell Mommy every time it happened (GOOD BOY!).... not that I was very far away or that I didn't already notice. Needless to say, we went through another ten pairs of big boy panties :( Mommy even resorted to putting you in your sister's pretty princess undies when you ran out ha/ha Mommy said, "Well Jude, Mommy has to put you in your sister's princess undies," you laughed hysterically and said in your funny little way, "Ohhh no Mommy!" Mommy hugged you so much today. I was truly hoping that it would click with you, but you are too "busy" just like your Momma, you don't recognize what's going on with your body, well until after it happens, and you obviously can't control it because you sat on the pot for 10 minutes at a time on several occasions, only to go on the floor five minutes later.

Bodhi, you on the other hand, well, Mommy doesn't want to jinx it, but you are pretty much potty trained! YAY! A half day of training and you are set. Mommy just has to figure out how best to handle night time and outside time. You are up half the night, so we will be putting you in your panties to sleep in real soon. You only had one accident, and it was during our nightly walk with Ms. Allie. Mommy should have known, the potty training blog said not to go outside or leave the house (it's too distracting for you little people) the first day of potty training, but Mommy was so impressed with you, I thought you would be ok. You soaked your new Dora shoes on our walk that Grandmoo bought you yesterday, and well that "pissed you off." Ha/Ha!

So, Mommy's instincts say not to completely give up on Jude, but he's not quite ready (physically). Bodhi, you showed Mommy that when you are ready (physically, emotionally, etc...), you just need a little positive push and it will all fall into place. Mommy and Daddy will just have to have a third child to motivate you, Buddha, that is should you enter the stubborn stage before you are physically ready hee/hee

So, as I mentioned, our day started off with a bang. Mommy went from one to two little potty people and I had to get myself mentally prepared for all the messes to come, and then having you both on a potty at the same time, and at differing times got kind of tricky! Mommy had a FTM (family team meeting) to attend for work, so that meant Mommy had to shower and get cleaned up, there was no way any of us could stand for Mommy to miss another shower ha/ha We played upstairs most of the morning... where our big bathroom is located, and it worked out because you two played in the bathroom while Mommy got ready (early) and you two conveniently went potty while I got cleaned up :) After playing and pottying all morning long, Mommy put you both in a pull-up and off to bed you went. Bodhi, Mommy messed up, you fight taking a nap most days, so when you yelled for Mommy, Mommy told you to go to sleep. I should have went and checked on you instead :( You were trying to tell Mommy that you had to poo! Mommy got distracted because Franky stopped by and was talking with Mommy about his future plans with his new job and seeking advise regarding car loans (to which Mommy referred him to his older sister, Sister Kelly, who is the expert car person in our family). Bodhi, you came walking down the stairs and told Mommy and Franky that you had went poo. Franky hugged you and told you how proud he was of you, and Mommy explained that you wouldn't have poo'd in your pull-up had Mommy been thinking. Mommy got you changed, apologized, and then tucked you back into bed. Mommy was then off to work.

GiGi and Gi-Pa came over to sit while you both napped. Jude, you awakened early and Bodhi, you slept late resulting in you not getting to see GiGi and Gi-Pa :( GiGi reported that you, Jude, were a complete handful. So you were a major stinker, quite literally, while Mommy worked. When Mommy returned Daddy was home grabbing a bite to eat before leaving for his batterers class. We received a $50.00 gift certificate to Applebees in the mail, as a rewards thingy, so Mommy ordered us all dinner and we jumped in the car to go pick it up. You two were super excited because Mommy got you both a dessert. Mommy got you both fed, when Daddy arrived home. Mommy was able to get a 20 minute power nap in, and then Bodhi, you went with Mommy to give Ms. Allie her walk. She didn't get one last night, and wow, her heeler'ness came out big time. After our walk, in which you pee'd in your new shoes, we grabbed Jude and went outside to play before bed. Bodhi, you decided to go inside and have Daddy clean you up and then you and Daddy shared some night time snuggles, meanwhile, Buddha, you stayed outside with Mommy... of course! You helped Mommy water the grass and flowers, you had Mommy filing and refilling your water bottle over and over hee/hee but you were in heaven, outside and playing with water. Mommy had you naked, and when our neighbors pulled up, you very aquwardly watched as they carried their groceries inside, all while playing with your nipples ha/ha You LOVE playing with your nipples, you little freak! Mommy was dying inside and when I told Daddy he busted out laughing. You are so stinkin' cute and absolutely hilarious... just like your sister!
