Hey little bears, today was
another in a long string of hot summer days. Ms. Moonbeam came down early to
join Daddy, but almost immediately fell back to sleep on the couch. Daddy has
to be at the college for an early class, and needed to go through the bank
drive-through, so it was a particularly early day again. Mommy and Buddha were
each still sleeping in their beds, so Daddy told Mommy he loved her and
informed her of the whereabouts of the Gypsy Princess, and then he was gone.
Daddy had to pick up a
prescription after his class so after doing so Daddy stopped back by the house
to leave his medicine and check on everyone, and Mommy said it would be a big
help if the two of you could ride with Daddy over to Aunt Ti’s. Both of you
were excited when you spotted the county fair in the background as we drove to
Aunt Ti’s so Daddy assured you both that he and Mommy would take you to the
fair on Saturday evening; Bodhi you keep insisting you and Mommy are going to
ride a “roller-coaster”---don’t have a clue where that is coming from, but
Buddha and Daddy will watch from the sidelinesJ.
Daddy had to get back to the
college for an important afternoon meeting after dropping the precious cargo (J) at Aunt Ti’s, and
finally around 4 p.m. was able to get back home. Mommy met Daddy at home and
brought us a chicken dinner, so we both ate our dinner and then headed back to
our busy work schedules for the remainder of the afternoon. Daddy went to the
Leeds house to mow, and he was fried by the heat in the process. Daddy needs to
go back by the Leeds house and trim a tree before the scheduled Sunday open
house—yikes, it is hot!!! The heat has really been wearing Daddy down, intense
muscle cramps in the legs and feet and even left hand---not sure if the hand is
related to Daddy’s back problems or not, but Daddy has been consuming lots of
tomatoes (and some bananas) in an effort to curb the intense cramps—Daddy loves
tomatoes (so do you Ms. Bodhi, you and Daddy eat them right off the vine of our
backyard tomato plantsJ)
so it is the kind of medicine that goes down easilyJ.
Mommy was super, super, super
busy cleaning, cleaning, cleaning the house in preparation for Aunt Chris and
Uncle Barry coming for a visit. Daddy picked both of you up at Aunt Ti’s (Daddy
had to apologize to Aunt Ti for running a little late as Aunt Beth stopped by
for a visit and Daddy was talking with her and Mommy and lost track of time
until Mommy hurried me out the doorJ),
and when we got home we found Mommy had enlisted Autumn to give Arlo and Allie
a short walk so Mommy could continue cleaning the carpet. However, Ms. Allie refuses
to leave the house unless she’s with Mommy… she does not leave Mommy’s side. Autumn managed to drag Ms. Allie to McCann
street, but Ms. Allie kept dropping her head and escaping the leash. She was not going to leave her home or her Mommy
behind! Ms. Allie has turned out to be the
best adoption ever! During this time, Mommy
was having some trouble with the carpet cleaner so GiGi came over to help
diagnose the problem, and we all had an opportunity to see her and GiPa’s new
red Chevrolet Malibu (with all kinds of fancy “stuff”)—what a beautiful car!
The two of you, of course, showered GiGi with attention and affection and
indeed when Daddy asked you Buddha if you were a “Daddy’s Boy” you responded
with a wide grin and loud giggle that you were “GiGi’s Boy!!!”
Daddy endured the millionth
viewing of “Rio” with the two of you while Mommy finished the carpet cleaning
of the stairs and so we ended up with a late bedtime (around 10 p.m.!!!) and
brought a close to another beautiful, but very, very, very hot day. Tomorrow we
look forward to seeing Aunt Chris and Uncle Barry and having lunch with them
and Grandmoo (she stubbornly insists it will be her treat).
So, the two of you little bears
wrap your dreams around sweet visions of family love, and Mommy and Daddy hugs,
and roller-coasters and snow-cones---and well, tomorrow we will head out on
another amazing adventure along your mellow brick road. “Night, night!!!”
