Sunny Monday

Though the day started with a very light mist, it was characterized most aptly by sweltering heat that had engulfed the Midwest and indeed most of the nation this very, very hot summer. So, it was indeed a quite sunny Monday (at 10 p.m. the temperature was 87 degrees!), but still a pleasantly bright day for Ms. Bodhi and Mister Buddha, as Mommy had to work out of town and that meant the two of you spent the day with GiGi and Grandmoo, respectively.  Mommy dropped you two on her way out of town.

Daddy, too, had a full day of work but made his way home on two occasions to feed and care for Allie and Arlo. The good men from Triple A fence came by early this morning, also, to begin phase two of our privacy fence construction. They removed the chain link fence and set the cedar posts for the new wooden privacy fence; Daddy sympathized with their work task as it was truly nearly unbearable heat outside today.

Mommy picked the two of you up (Ms. Bodhi from GiGi and Mister Buddha from Grandmoo) and the reports were that you two special babies were indeed special and well behaved today (which of course we expected because the two of you love spending time with GiGi and GrandmooJ). GiGi took you to Highland Park where you participated in a craft project to make a necklace and the folks there marveled over your intelligence Ms. Bodhi, commenting that you performed like a five-year old child in your coordination, color and design recognition, and attention to detailJ. Grandmoo reported you are developing into quite a little athlete, Mister Buddha, and a whirl-wind of energy and adorable lovin’!

By the time Daddy finally came home from work it was after 7 p.m., and Mommy had a wonderful dinner of chicken and noodles and mashed potatoes waiting---yum, yum, yumJJJ!!! The two of you were finishing your dinners as Mommy and Daddy began theirs, and of course Buddha you wanted “more” so Mommy fed you some of her noodlesJ.

Mommy had to go back out to work (and take Grandmoo a helping of her delicious chicken and noodles and mashed potatoesJ) and the three of us of course watched Rio for the painfully unknown number of timesJ. After Rio, and about the time Mommy returned home the two of you expressed a desire to go “night, night” (though you got up at least a half dozen times, Ms. Bodhi, to announce you couldn’t sleep).

Mommy and Daddy both worked on catching up our Mellow Brick Road entries, and then Daddy slipped away to “night, night” himselfJ. Daddy doesn’t understand where Mommy gets her energy, other than a faithful belief it is a “Mommy thing.” Daddy does understand why he loves Mommy so much, the same understanding he has for loving the two of you so much, it is known as a blessing and a simple appreciation for a blessing like no other---love all of you to the moon!!! Night, night!!!

Daddy forgot to mention that you started your day by giving each other great big hugs and kisses, it was stunning and beautiful!  It was also kind of funny since you both knew each of you would be going your separate ways, to two of your favorite places :) ha/ha

GiGi got the camera last time, so it was Grandmoo's turn this time :)  Playing with dolls, my sweet little Mommy's boy!

"Cheese!"

It appears you are making the two girl dolls kiss... yep, you are all boy!  Mommy also recognizes the bracelet on your arm ha/ha  Grandmoo has had that since Mommy was your age!

hmmmmm?  BTW, Grandmoo said when you awakened from your nap, you were scared and crying because you didn't know where you were.  When she walked toward the bedroom door, which is a glass french door with shades on the inside, you were standing face pressed against the glass between the shade and the door ha/ha  Grandmoo said it was so funny and so precious!
