‘Let me take you down, cause I’m going to strawberry
fields…” These are words from a famous song by The Beatles, the best rock group
in music history, and today Mommy took the two of you on a Thursday adventure
while Daddy had to work all day. First, Mommy loaded both of you in the
carriage and made a business trip to the downtown post office, then the three
of you meandered your way through the crowded downtown Strawberry Festival,
then the finale of the journey along the mellow brick road found you in one of
your favorite spots, Foster Park. You played there for a marathon four hours,
and Daddy briefly came by the house to pick up his MRI films to deliver to the
surgeon he was scheduled to see for an emergency pain injection later in the
afternoon, and Daddy’s investigative instincts (which are quite famousJ) led him to the three
of you in Foster Park. Mommy requested Daddy make a quick run over to the
Walgreen’s Pharmacy and pick up some lunch for you so Daddy hurried over and
got the three of you a ham and cheese and a turkey and cheese sandwich and a
couple of bananas. Grandpa Kurt had made arrangements to come by the park and
see you as well, so it proved to be a happy adventure indeed. And to top it
off, Mommy took you two over to Crazy Jay’s Ice Cream Parlor for some Superman
and Supergirl ice creamJ.
By the time you got home, the two of you were ready for a
nice nap! Later in the evening, we all spent a happy family evening together,
Mommy made us all some chicken fajitas for dinner. We all watched Nick Jr.
shows and then settled in for “night, night.” Daddy can’t get comfortable
anywhere so he sometimes sleeps on the floor and sometimes sleeps on the couch,
and tonight you stayed with Daddy again, Bodhi, and we had a slumber party in
our living room. Buddha, you broke Mommy’s heart tonight because you just
wanted her to put you in your bed (cageJ)
and wouldn’t let her rock youL.
“Night, night” baby angels, you Viking Prince Jude and you
Gypsy Princess Emilia!!!
