An Extra Fun Day

Today, the two of you were treated to an extra fun day! Though a Wednesday, and usually a Daddy day, Daddy had an appointment with a spine surgeon, Dr. Reilly, and additionally had to get another x-ray, and then had to get some new medications. This was nearly an all-day activity, so Mommy contacted GiGi and sure enough GiGi wanted to come over and see the two of you “dumplins.” And sure enough, GiGi ended up taking both of you home with her to spend time with you until afternoon nap.   Jude, you got in GiGi’s car to play (tricking her) when she tried to get you out to play in our backyard, you refused and cried.  So GiGi said you and Bo could go to her and Gi-Pa’s house.  Mommy was able to work, Daddy was able to keep his medical appointments, and the two of you enjoyed an extra fun day!  Mommy also took Mr. Arlo to the shelter to meet Ms. Allie girl.  She’s been at the shelter for a while now, and they haven’t had any luck locating her a rescue home… good news is Mr. Arlo LOVED her!  Well, LOVED her to the point where had to go and lay in the dirty left-over water, doggy pool to cool himself off.   He had a lot of hip action going!

Sean Franky came by in the late afternoon, but the two of you slept though his visit, he said to say “hi!” Buddha, you were the first one to awaken from you nap around 5 p.m., and indeed Daddy had to go upstairs and get you, Bodhi, because you were still in bed around 6 p.m. GiGi always succeeds in wearing the two of you outJ.

Mommy made us dinner of baked potato, crab cakes, and mixed vegetables and as we were enjoying our dinner, Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron stopped by for a visit. You amazed your sister, Bodhi, because she was showing you things on her smart phone, and you independently started using some of her apps to access some pictures of animals. You are one remarkably smart young lady, Bodhi, like your older sister.  You even managed to pull up Ms. Allie’s photo from the shelter, and to all of our amazement, you started yelling “Allie, Allie, Allie!”

After dinner, and our company had gone, the three of us watched “Rio” together while Mommy continued some work on home projects. At around 8:30 p.m., Buddha, you told Daddy you were ready for bed, so Mommy stopped her progress on her projects and took you upstairs and got you settled in for the night. You were so incredibly cuddly tonight, Buddha, you kept pointing at Daddy’s (uglyJ) face and saying “boo, boo” and then you would kiss it to make it betterJ. And it certainly did make Daddy feel better, if not any less uglyJ.  Bodhi, Daddy fell asleep while waiting for Mommy to finish up my scheduled cabinet work (I’m on a strict schedule to ensure I get it done as quickly as possible), and well, you joined Mommy in the kitchen.  You were so stinkin’ precious.  You held the screws as Mommy took off cabinet doors, giggling the entire time and saying “Woa Momma!”  You also found one of Daddy’s Yoohoo’s in the fridge…. You said “Momma, yes we have chocolate milk, right there.”  So, you enjoyed a Yoohoo and looked at a parenting magazine.  You were not stop, “Momma, look, Momma, Momma, Momma,” while pointing to pictures that you thought looked like Mommy, Daddy, Buddha, and yourself ha/ha  Mommy thought it was hilarious that any long hair blonde ladies were Momma, while any short dark haired babies were Bo Bo J When you saw a little girl (that actually looked like Jude) eating a Popsicle, you begged Mommy for a blue Popsicle.  Mommy couldn't say no to you, so you ate a blue Popsicle after drinking a Yoohoo, not one of our finest moments ha/ha   At one point I looked up and you were looking around at the room smiling.  You told Mommy, “Wow, Momma pretty!”  You loved the look of the new cabinets J  We ended our projects by dancing to the Beach Boys’ Kokomo song that came on the radio.  You were then agreeable to go to bed!!  Finally!  I do love our evening time together, you are so stinkin’ funny and super fun to do projects with!

Well, night is wearing on, Daddy’s back is aching and it soon will be time for all to settle down for “night, night.” So, peace to you precious babies and to all our family and friends!!!

PS Bodhi, today you asked Mommy to look at a birthday catalog/magazine that was laying on the piano.  Once you realized what it was, you said "Mommy, Mommy, get for Grandmoo's birthday party tomorrow!"  How smart are you, Bodhi!!!

"I can do it Sista Kelly, get Buddha off of me!"

NO FIGHTING!!!! Love one another!

Sister Kelly successfully distracted you two...

Then she got you two to turn on Momma... Look at you, Jude... "Ummm no, I don't turn on my Momma!"

Let's play "Baby Buddha," here Bodhi, hold your brother ha/ha

Awwww, kiss the baby Buddha!

Bodhi's turn, Awwww baby Bodhi! :)

Awwww baby Sister Kelly!  Sister Kelly, you kind of look like a relative to "Braille Kitty." HA HA!!!!

Mommy decided to add some much needed character to the cabinets off of the kitchen too...
