So Mommy has to play catch-up. I slacked and didn't do yesterday's post, and well, Daddy did tonight's post but didn't bother emailing it to me. Of course everyone is asleep, so I'm responsible to get it done. You, Bodhi, and Daddy slept right through Mommy vacuuming right by your guy's heads!
Anyway, Mommy and Buddha were the first to rise this morning. Mommy sent, you Buddha, downstairs to tell Daddy (who sleeps on the couch most nights these days) to start the coffee. Bodhi, our Saturday night adventures kept you in bed later than usual :) but Mommy and Buddha busted in on your beauty sleep, just as you do to us most mornings ha/ha Daddy had plans for us to take a trip to the antique shops... forgetting that they don't open until noon, so we walked around Menards planning future projects and then stopped by TJ Maxx. Afterwards, we decided to head home, skipping the antiquing, you two were ready for lunch and a nap. Mommy entertained you two with the kittens and played with you two on our swing set while Daddy prepared lunch. After lunch we ALL went down for a nap. Buddha, you again were the first to awaken. Mommy was going to take you for a walk but Daddy insisted on some boy time and took you to the store with him. When you two arrived home, Mommy had packed us dinner for the park and I managed to start yet another painting project... one that won't be completed because I'm so backed up, and well this blog takes a big chunk out of Mommy's project time each night:( I painted the only non-original woodwork in our house, in our kitchen... Mommy hates the kitchen and has been trying to figure out how to spruce it up. Well, I painted the window trim turquoise, in a very rustic shabby chic finish. I must say, it looks amazing so far. You and Daddy liked it!
We decided that it was time to wake Bodhi up, we had dinner packed and we were ready to head to the park. We knew Bodhi wouldn't mind if we woke her to go to the park :) So off to Foster Park we went. We found a nice shady, non-duck poop location, and laid down two blankets. Mommy unpacked the turkey sandwiches, juice, pickles, and pretzels, and we had a nice family dinner on one of the most comfortable and beautiful days we've had. Afterwards, Mommy treated you two to your favorite, blueberries, and a few double-stuffed oreo's. Grandmoo had Mommy pick some up last night before I returned to retrieve Bodhi, so I picked us up a batch... not that any of us need them! We you two had full bellies, we walked over to the park and you two had a ball. Bodhi, you are so strong and brave... you climbed every climbing contraption at the park. Buddha, you attempted and cried when you couldn't do it ha/ha Mommy and Daddy took turns helping you. Buddha, you fell through one of them on Mommy's watch, falling a good five feet. Mommy was taking your picture, so sorry Bubby. You didn't cry though, you said "up" and started over, amazing considering you were fussy.
After playing at the park we took you two over to see GiGi and Gi-Pa. We played in the backyard, bowling, bubbles, and feeding the squirrels and birds. Mommy played too, with sidewalk chalk. Gi-Pa doesn't care much for his sidewalks being written on ha/ha so Mommy washed it off once I finished.
Once back home, you two played with Dora and Ella, and we swung on the swing in the backyard when Grandmoo showed up. She had stolen Mr. Arlo for some special Grandmoo/Arlo time. She then took over playing with you two while Mommy did a drop, and Daddy did his own thing. When Mommy arrived home I threw you two in the bath. You both enjoyed playing with your new shark and alligator bath toys in the tub. Grandmoo got a big kick out of the two of you screaming as they swam toward you guys ha/ha It was late, so it was nighty night time for the two of you. Bodhi, you fell asleep on the couch with Daddy, and Buddha, you whispered "wub ou more, and moon," to Mommy as Mommy rocked you to sleep. Sweet Dreams my sweet babes.
