Today got underway as a conventional Saturday, as soon as
Daddy got home from work Mommy helped load the two of you in the carriage with
a snack in our packJ
and off we went to the downtown Farmer’s Market. Once there, we purchased a
peanut butter cookie from the Amish vendors for the two of you to share and a
herbal tea for Daddy from another Amish Vendor. Daddy also had one of his
friends, Mary, and her husband and they have a vendor stand as well, and they
were selling herbal tea so Daddy bought one from them as well. Today was an
incredibly hot day, so Daddy considered two herbal iced tea beverages a sound
investmentJ,
later the two of you would help drink one of them at Foster ParkJ. Daddy also bought a
sun-dried tomato bread to go with our lunch Mommy was planning, which was
lasagnaJ.
After our visit downtown, we made our way to Foster Park
where we played and enjoyed our snack of pretzels and iced herbal tea, and had
fun swinging and playing “run from the troll” and the play equipment which
includes slides, and ladders, and two “troll” bridgesJ. After two hours of play
time, we made our way along the mellow brick road back home and settled in for
lunch and naptime. Our lasagna wasn’t quite ready so Mommy made the two of you
a peanut butter sandwich, which you almost entirely refused Bodhi and you
Buddha played with more than ate. Both Mommy and Daddy are bewildered how two
all-American children cannot like peanut butterJ.
After nap time, we geared up for the next part of our
adventure for the day, we planned our trip back to Foster Park for the Rib Fest
and outdoor music concerts. We had initially planned to go to the Pride parade
in downtown Indianapolis and meet Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron there, but we
were short on money and knew we couldn’t afford to pay for the travel costs and
dinner, so we opted for hometown Rib Fest instead (Sister Kelly still dropped
off a surprise Princess crown for you, Bodhi; Sister Kelly adores the two of
you stinkersJ).
At the Rib Fest Concert, we were all treated by the unexpected surprise visit
from Grandmoo and GiGi, and the two of you went bonkers over their attention.
Both of you danced and danced, but Bodhi you were in exceptional rare formJ.
We all enjoyed a picnic dinner of soft drinks and water, and
chicken and barbeque sandwich with delicious baked beans from Hawg Heaven. By
around 8:30 p.m., we were all pretty much exhausted so we gave kisses to
Grandmoo and GiGi and made our way, once again, along the mellow brick road
back to our beautiful, loving, nurturing home, where you went down immediately
for bed time Buddha, Mommy found energy to continue working on her many
projects, and yep, Bodhi you and Daddy again ended up falling asleep on the
couch like our slumber parties of late. You are precious, precious babies,
loved beyond words!!!
“Night, night!!!”
