Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday Moo/Grandmoo!!!

Today was a very, very, very special day—happy, happy, happy birthday Moo/Grandmoo!!! We all made our way to Highland Park at high noon to celebrate, GiGi and GiPa provided a birthday cake and drinks and the best damn watermelon, as only GiGi can find (seems like whenever we try to get a good watermelon, we just don’t have the knack to pick a good oneL-but GiGi doesJ!

Moo loved her gifts of hand-cast garden stones of the hand impressions of Bodhi and Buddha, and their own distinctive colored shards of glass (bet you would never guess what color Bodhi selected)! Everyone enjoyed the celebration, though Daddy couldn’t stay long, he had to get back to work. Bodhi and Buddha, you both were absolutely in heaven with Grandmoo and GiGi and GiPa all in one place to shower you both with attention (though we had our attention diverted briefly and sure enough, you fell off the picnic table, Bodhi, and earned a goose-eggL.

Watching the two of you is enough to wear you out, but you can’t help but truly marvel at how doggone gorgeous you both are and be mesmerized just by watching the two of you. Jude Liam, there is no question who you take after (looks and behaviorJ), you are a double for your Mommy, and if you ever got lost in Tennessee they would take you to Great Papaw and say, “here he must belong to you ‘cause he looks just like you.” No foolin’, it is uncanny how much you look like your Mommy and your Papaw! And you are so remarkably beautiful, Emilia Bodhi, you don’t need to look like anybody but your amazingly distinctive incredibly beautiful self! (((Though Daddy does think you take after himJ)))

After the birthday celebration, Mommy herded the two of you home, and by the time Daddy got home from work, we were all starting to settle in for the night, but the two of you were so wound up, Mommy ended up taking you out in the back to play and visit the kitties until bedtime. Mommy then once again stayed up late in the night working on home improvement projects after you went to bed, Buddha. Bodhi, as usual, you stuck with Daddy so we both headed upstairs and climbed in Mommy and Daddy’s bed, and it wasn’t long before we were both sawing logs J.  Mommy said she missed your company tonight, Bodhi,  as you usually join her J

We all earned a good night’s rest, what a wonderfully wonderful celebration day we enjoyed! Happy, happy, happy birthday Moo/Grandmoo!!!

Bodhi, you helped Grandmoo open her presents :)

Grandmoo had you both blow out her birthday candles for her... Jude, you slobbered on half of the cake :(

GiGi helping you two up the slide :)

"Weeeee!"

Buddha's turn... Gi-Pa made sure you didn't fall through the steps :)

Your first time down a big slide by yourself :)

We all encouraged GiGi to use the slide to get down, rather than the steps :)

Grandmoo got a hula hoop for her birthday... Jude, you and Mommy both enjoyed playing with it.
