An Alternate Plan Wednesday

Well, as is now the norm, Bodhi you and Daddy started the day very, very, very early. Daddy was trying to sleep on the couch, he just can’t get comfortable anywhere and around 4 a.m. here comes the pitter patter of little Ms. Emilia. You get up and come downstairs, find Daddy and ask that Nick Jr. be turned on on the TV!
Daddy had an oral surgery appointment at 7:30 a.m., an upper bridge broke loose and major root canal and bridge readjustment and re-posting followed—Daddy some fourteen hours later is in excruciating pain—his mouth, his back, his constant cramping and charley-horses in his muscles—wow!

So Daddy was off to his dental appointment, and you Bodhi were on the couch watching Nick Jr.! Daddy locked all the doors to inhibit you from wandering outside, announced to Mommy that he was off, and kissed his baby girl goodbye. Several hours later, Daddy stopped by to pick up some things for work he forgot and you two, Bodhi and Buddha were fully engaged in your day with Mommy. Daddy got off to work and later Mommy called to inform him that Aunt Ti was sick, Grandmoo was sick, and GiGi was gone so Mommy was going to have to miss work and look after the two of you; Daddy had appointments with students and an afternoon class so he couldn’t get away, though he wanted to give Mommy some time for work and spend time himself with two angelsJ.

But as usual, the two of you came out on top: Mommy let the two of you make mud pies, dry flowers, “help” her paint Buddha’s “big boy” bed, you will be transitioning to from your crib soonJ. You both got to play outside and help take care of Arlo and Allie, and Ella and Dora, and overall had fun, fun, fun in the afternoon sun.

The next few days Mommy and Daddy will have to shelter the two of you (and themselves and the animals) from the oppressive heat—it is estimated that before weeks end the temperature will reach 105 degrees!

Daddy stopped by from school before going to his next job and found that Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron and their new “wolf-looking” dog, Karma, had stopped by to visit. Karma is a truly beautiful animal, like all of oursJ. Sister Kelly had just had her hair colored a “candy apple red” color and she looked beautiful also! Again, away Daddy had to whisk to workL.

By the time Daddy got home, he and Mommy carried Buddha’s “big boy” blue bed into the house, and Mommy got the two of you off for a quick bath and bedtime (not before sneaking out with you Buddha to walk Allie around the block). All-in-all, though a day requiring alternate plans, the two of you, our little Viking Prince and Gypsy Princess, had a great Mommy day. Sweet dreams, sweet babies!!!

Six hours later, 2:00 a.m., and Mommy just got done cleaning the house and finishing up a few projects.  :)  Off to bed we go!

Sprinkler was a bust... so we filled up Mr. Arlo's pool so that you could use the water to water flowers around the yard :)

Bodhi, you also watered Mr. Arlo :)

Nice Buddha!  Boots in the pool, of course!

Our neighbor, Autumn, came over to play with you both for a while.

You two were super excited to play mud monsters... and chase Autumn around the yard.

Flowers drying to be made into wreaths... they are sure to dry out quick with this heat wave on it's way!

Some new blooms in Mommy's magical flower garden :)

The best yard accessories ever! :)

Another bloom...

This is after I cut about 30 flowers off of it!

Butterfly bush :) brings all the butterflies to the yard!
