Bo Bo and Buddha Boo, Momma woke up so sick this morning, and this threw everyone through a loop! I actually started to feel sick last night, but I woke up an absolute mess. Bodhi, you woke up at about 4:30 a.m. Daddy went in your room with you, changed you, turned on your tv, and then fell asleep on your twin bed. I heard you groaning at about 5:00 a.m. and went in to check on you. You were sitting in the glider chair watching cartoons while your Daddy slept on your big girl bed. Mommy took you downstairs, gave you some medicine, water, changed your diaper, and fed you some watermelon. Mommy then tucked you back into your crib, turned off your tv and turned on your music, and after you pointed disapprovingly toward your Daddy, who was still in your room, you fell asleep. You do not like people in your room when you go to bed, nor do you rarely like to sleep or take naps with anyone.
Jude, Mommy was wrestling you the rest of the morning. You would nurse from one side to the next. Then you would stand, crawl, and climb all over the place. You were not going back to sleep and it was only about 5:30 a.m. Mommy put you in your play yard with some toys, and you seemed happy. You played for about an hour before you wanted your Mommy again. Mommy then nursed you once again and then went to get Daddy up so I could lay for another hour. Daddy grudgingly got up and laid in your room while you two played with your toys. Mommy then got up to shower and leave for work. When Mommy arrived home from work, you, Jude were awake downstairs with Daddy. Bodhi, you were still napping. Mommy nursed you, Jude, fed the dogs and gave Mr. Murff his medicine before going to my doctor's appointment. Jude, you were not happy about Mommy leaving you again. Mommy was diagnosed with a sinus infection and bronchitis. When Mommy made it home from the doctor, you two were again upstairs. Luckily, Mommy thought to call to remind Daddy that it was super time for you two... or you two might not have eaten until super late! Bodhi, you were still in your jammies when Mommy finally made it back home this evening. Apparently Daddy didn't think you needed to be changed into regular clothes today (which happens, no big deal) but you had the biggest smelliest poo diaper. You screamed while Mommy tried ever so gently to get the poo off of you and apply medicine. Jude, you were chomping at the bit to escape from your room. You were wanting to go go go and Daddy wasn't wanting to go go go!
Mommy just hopes Daddy has a new appreciation for Mommy and everything I do everyday, after today. Caring for you two is the toughest job ever, but it's also the most rewarding! Mommy was fuming to learn that you, Bodhi, were stuck in your room all day! You didn't go downstairs but to eat, therefore you didn't get to go outside or even see outside until Mommy came home! Mommy is still fuming. I may obsess about keeping our house clean, caring for the fuzzies, completing bills etc... all while balancing our time together, and I may even go without sleep to make sure everything gets done, but all Mommy expects when Daddy stays with you two, is that you two have a fun day with Daddy. Even if you are feeling bad Bodhi, you want to go outside, even if it's just for a half hour. I don't know what Daddy was thinking! He didn't express feeling sick himself. I know he was excited to get outside and mow after Mommy returned home! Maybe Daddy better understands the importance of a break, or even the benefit of getting some fresh air! Anyway, Mommy will have to share her secret wisdom with Daddy... to make time pass and keep you two happy... all anyone has to do is take you two outside for a wagon or a stroller ride. You two are always good, happy, and contained with very little energy spent and very little frustration from trying to keep you both safe, aside from pushing or pulling you two. Plus, I always feel better after a walk, it's a win win across the board. I would have thought Daddy knew that by now, but men sometimes need to be told. Jude, you are and will be different. You will be raised to multi-task like a woman hee/hee but Mommy will have to work on not passing on the OCD with cleaning and trying to fit too much into a day... of course, you two will be okay if you fall somewhere in between Mommy and Daddy :)- So, I guess the saying is true... "When Momma's not happy, nobody is happy," at least it couldn't be anymore true today. And it's not because Momma makes everyone else miserable, it's because everyone stops functioning without the Momma to hold everything together! You two definitely love your Daddy, and he adores the two of you, so hopefully today wasn't too horrible for you both! It was nice to see the excitement on both of your faces when I arrived home, but it also made Mommy sad that you two were cooped up!

Juders, you were an absolute wild man when Mommy took you downstairs to play while I prepared dinner. You pulled out the oven drawer, like you always do, then you used the drawer as a step to reach the oven bar. After you hung from the bar, you fell into the oven drawer where the pots and pans are stored hee/hee You didn't like that Mommy grabbed the camera before helping you out! I told you, "no, no" but you kept on :)- |
