Well, this morning it was Mommy taking on the fuzzies and you two babes alone, just like the good ol' days. Daddy got called to fill-in for a second class this morning. Our morning was going great. You two had the run of the house, Mommy was washing EVERYONE's bedding, including Ju Ju and Bo Bo the fish's water bowl. Mommy had conditioned a bowl of water last night before retiring to bed, with the plan to give them fresh water. Bo Bo and Ju Ju were swimming happily, nothing appeared to be wrong with them. However when Mommy took them from their bowl, rinsed their bowl and rocks, and then returned to them to their fresh water, Bo Bo started floating sideways toward the top of the bowl. Mommy frantically added additional conditioning salt, as the fair folks instructed, when such behaviors were observed. Mommy revived Bo Bo, and I thought all was good. They were back to swimming and seemingly back to being happy little fish. Mommy kept a close watch though. After about 20 minutes, Ju Ju started floating sideways but toward the bottom of the bowl. Mommy asked Daddy what was going on when he returned from work, and he said Ju Ju was going to drown then he'd float toward the top. Mommy quickly dipped my hand in the bowl and raised Ju Ju toward the top, he fluttered and took what seemed like his last breath and then sunk back down to the bottom. Bo Bo then swam over to Ju Ju and floated right above him. Mommy was so sad... Ju Ju passed on. Mommy quickly removed Ju Ju from the bowl, said a Christian prayer, as well as a Buddhist prayer, and ceremoniously sent him on his way to the next world, Viking style... with a flush :( Mommy then ran upstairs to check on Bo Bo, only to discover, she had also passed, probably from a broken fishy heart! Bo Bo got the same Viking funeral as Ju Ju, hopefully they found their way back to each other. Now Mommy is baffled, I read the instructions and followed them precisely, it was the same water they had lived in happily for the past week. Daddy said fair fish aren't healthy fish, in an attempt to make Mommy feel better about the situation, but Mommy can't help but think something was wrong with the new water :(.... Bodhi, we opted to shield you from all this since you are too young to understand, and we didn't want to traumatize you with potty training. So long Bo Bo and Ju Ju fish, RIP!
The remainder of the day was spent napping and playing. Sister Kelly and the Governor came over to visit. Buddha, you wanted to go to bed about an hour early :( Bodhi, you stayed up late visiting. Mommy completed your birthday invitations, Bodhi. Now Mommy has work work, ironing, and picture projects to get to. Hopefully, at least one of these tasks will get done tonight! Mommy and Daddy are listening to Kris Kristofferson on television trying to find the energy to keep on keeping on hee/hee

Bo Bo you made a little hidden play area under the dinning room table, and you used the chair to shield you from view. You were hiding in the chair as Mommy yelled "Bo Bo, where are you?" hee /hee Stink Pot! |
