We are truly enjoying our holiday weekend together as a family, and what better holiday than a true-blue All-American 4th of July! We enjoyed a great breakfast (courtesy of Chef Daddy) of farm-fresh egg omelet made with our Amish eggs acquired at the Farmer’s Market—mmmmmm…made with cheese, Vidalia onions, and a secret recipe Daddy’s dearest friend Darrell Sayer taught him in collegeJ, accompanied by our first tomato of the season out of our garden, and buttermilk toast—yummmmmm! And of course Buddha blue-eyes had some of his cereal and fruit just for Buddha babies. It was a great family breakfast after Mommy got up, she slept in a little this morning courtesy Daddy and Bodhi and BuddhaJ
Brother Sean Francis got back in town late this morning and dropped off the Mustang, and he played with the two of you, Bodhi and Buddha for about an hour before Daddy took him out to join his mother’s family reunion holiday gathering. Brother Ryan Michael and Holly were at the gathering but didn’t make it by to see us; we were very disappointed but understand. Sister Kelly and the Governor came by around dinner time, but we missed them too. We’re hoping to see them tomorrow! Daddy and Mommy talked to Aunt Debbie for a while on the phone today, and Daddy spoke briefly with Aunt Terrie (now that she’s a biker, she is hard to pin down for a phone conversationJ).
While Daddy gave Sean a ride, Mommy fed the two of you and got you down for your naps. When you got up around 4:00 p.m. we all went on a wagon adventure downtown, only to discover the festival had ended yesterday due to the storms. No matter, though, as Mommy had some business to do at Walgreens and on our return trip we stopped at the playground at Foster Park and both of you loved that alternative!
By the time we got home, Grandmoo stopped by for a short visit, then we all went out for a family dinner at Daddy’s favorite restaurant, Grindstone Charlie’s (it was Mommy’s ideaJ). When we got home from dinner, it was evident you two were worn out and ready for bed. So, Daddy is drafting this blog entry so he and Mommy can go snuggle and watch a movie we rented from the Redbox at Walgreens. Mommy had to do her nightly chores, so she wouldn’t have got around to watching a movie had I not volunteered to complete this blog. She’ll still have to add the pictures, as Daddy isn’t blog savvy. Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to some down time of their own together!
Goodnight and sleep tight, you gentle cuddle-bugs! You are blessings to so many people, and Mommy and Daddy especially understand the miracle each of you represents in our lives! Smooch!!!!!!

"Swinging Bodhi"
Bodhi, you were so excited when Mommy and Daddy asked you if you wanted to play at the park. :) |
Bodhi, having a blast! |
"You almost tricked me Bubs!" |
"Swinging Buddha" ;) |
You love when your Momma pushes you in the swing and gets your feet! |
You love it more when Momma kisses you every time you swing toward me! :) |
Precious Boy! Mommy forgot to mention... yesterday your tooth disappeared??? I don't know what is up with that! DAddy, Mommy, and Aunt Ti all saw it, but now it's back inside your gum? |
Daddy insisted that Mommy take you on the slide (per our usual agreement) but not today! Mommy made Daddy do it, and Mommy and Juders laughed the whole time! It was especially funny when Daddy's legs stuck to the slide and made the most horrible sound hee/hee |
Mommy has decided it's in male's DNA to check out females! Juders you paid no attention to boys playing around you, however, you just about broke your neck when two little girls showed up and started swinging on the "big people" swing. |
On our way home we saw atleast 50 geese or "quack quacks" all huddled together. Bodhi, you went nuts hee/hee You had us all "Quack Quacking!" |
Bodhi, you are saying "look at all the quacks!" Juders, you are saying "Sis, you are a big show off with your "Quack Quacking" |
We even saw Mr. Squirrel :) |
