Playing At The Park In December

Mommy was up late working on Aunt Diane's, Terrie's, and Debbie's Christmas presents last night:).  I caught the ending to this very interesting movie, "Beginners."  By the end of the movie, Mommy was of course crying, but I was inspired to make things "simple and happy," for the two of you and Daddy.  I decided then, tomorrow was going to be an extra special fun day :)  Jude, you were snuggled up to Daddy when Mommy finally made it to bed.  Mommy asked Daddy if he wanted me to move you over to my side and he said "no, he needs his Daddy."  It was a matter of minutes and you were on top of your Momma ha/ha  I was happy to snuggle you and love on you all night, the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy really has Mommy emotional!

So when you two awakened, and after several cups of coffee, and after you two ate a light lunch, Mommy bundled you two up and packed up the stroller...we were going to the PARK!! :)  You two were super excited, as was Ms. Allie.  You two had asked to go to the park for the past couple of days, but we've been so busy, Mommy didn't make it a priority.  Today was your guy's day.

As we were walking toward the play area, Jude, you started commenting over and over, "what the heck?"  Ha/Ha!  There were probably 100 geese all gathered in what use to be the fast pitch field.  Mommy let Ms. Allie off the leash, she herself was groaning, "what the heck," at the sight of all the geese.  Mommy knew what she was wanting to do...heard them :)  We had the park to ourselves so off she went, full speed a head and there flew and squaked all 100 geese up up in the air.  You two had a cow.  It was quite the sight.  Ms. Allie immediately ran back to us, she was satisfied with herself hee/hee You two then headed straight for the slides.  Bodhi, you had given Mommy a piece of toilet paper to clean the slides off before we left the house (you are such an unbelievably bright little girl), so when you got to the top of the slide, you said, "Mommy, get the toilet paper, the slide needs cleaned" ha/ha!  Mommy wiped down all of the slides and down you two went.  You ran around happy little babes, and that made Mommy happy :)  We swung on swings, climbed on the jungle gyms.  You guys managed to get a good hour and a half in of play time when Mommy felt sprinkles, oh boy!  Mommy left her phone at home so we were on our own.  Mommy yelled, "run, rain is coming," and you two actually came a running.  Mommy covered you with your stroller covers as best as I could.  Then Mommy did the unthinkable... I jogged the length of Foster Park.  Holy Cow Mommy is so fat and out of shape.  Mommy was surprised I made it as far as I did, and Ms. Allie was loving every minute of it.  Mommy speed walked the remainder of the way home, trying to catch my breath ha/ha.  As we were walking up our driveway, Daddy was backing out to come get us.  He realized Mommy didn't have my phone and that it was raining :)  We made it Daddy!

Once home, you two were ready for a nap :)  Mommy got busy doing things around the house and managed to get a 15 minute power nap in prior to you two waking up.  Daddy was off to work, he's off work from Ivy Tech, but still has to work for Family Service Association a couple of evenings.  Mommy has been putting off grocery shopping...a real grocery shopping stock up, and you two were wanting to get out of the house again.  So, we headed to the grocery store.  It was packed!  A lady approached us and said to put you, Jude, in her shopping cart :)  Mommy said good luck pealing him off of his Momma, he's a Momma's boy.  Jude, you burried your head in Mommy's leg :)  You two were so great the whole time!  Wow, the park really paid off.  Mommy picked you out a bundle of clearance flowers Bodhi.  You would have thought I took you to Disney World, you were so appreciate and walked the entire store with them in your arms, showing them off to people that walked by.  Jude, you decided when we were checking out, you too deserved a treat.  You picked up and opened a things of Twizzlers ha/ha Mommy didn't stop you, you were so good!

Once home, Mommy had to unload the car, put groceries away, while occupying the two of you and while cooking dinner.  Boy that was a challenge.  We managed though and had a delicious spaghetti & meatball dinner with garlic bread.  Buddha, you ate two huge plate fulls ha/ha  Bodhi, you didn't eat much at all :(  Daddy joined us for dinner when he arrived home.  Daddy then announced that he picked up a free family video for us all to watch.  You two shouted "YAY!"  Mommy took the opportunity to clean up our house.  We had made a muddy mess in our kitchen, and well the rest of our house was needing some attention too.

As Mommy finished up cleaning, you two were finishing up watching your movie with Daddy. We took you two to bed and off to sleepy town you went.

Walllllly!

The first thing you two do every morning is look for Wally!  You two race to see who can find him first :)

"I showed them Momma, we're safe now!"

"I'll keep an eye on them, I don't trust those geese."

Happy Boy!

Happy Girl!

Bodhi, you said, "Look at me Momma, take my picture Mommarazzi!" :)

"Me too!"

You two managed to get Ms. Allie up on the equipment by running and screaming.  She's soooo protective, she had to get up there with you two hee/hee

"Slide down the slide Allie!"

And down she came, eventually :)

"Hi Mommy!"

Clouds I added to the dining room ceiling:)
