You two ran up and downstairs back and forth between Mommy and Daddy as Mommy and Daddy took it easy being lazy. Mommy got you two a bowl of cereal and Daddy made you two toast for breakfast. We all sat together and had breakfast, but then it was time for Momma to take a shower and get ready to go volunteer at the Open House at the animal shelter. You two sat and played in the bathroom, sitting next to Mommy getting cleaned up as you two always do. When I went to leave, you, Ms. Bodhi, had a meltdown. You wanted Mommy to stay or you wanted to go with Mommy. Mommy again explained that you were too little to go volunteer but that you would one day be big enough, and that I would be back when you and your brother awakened from your afternoon naps. You would not stop crying, Daddy tried to calm and comfort you. Buddha, you were ok, you just needed several Mommy kisses :)
Daddy fed you two lunch, as well as Ms. Allie and Mr. Arlo. Apparently Mr. Arlo attacked Ms. Allie, causing Daddy to intervene and he re-injured his ankle/foot :( After lunch and some additional play time, you both went down for a nap. Buddha, you are fighting going to bed around the clock... Bodhi went through this phase too, ha, and not too long ago. Daddy allowed you to lay and sleep on the couch with him, not a great idea, but sometimes you just got do what you got to do.
While you two napped, Mommy was a "match-maker" for the Paws for Christmas Open House. I talked to people and attempted to match them up with a new family member that meets their lifestyle, and took the dogs in and out to visit ;) The shelter also had Santa Claus visit so that he could get pictures taken with all the furry butts, both in and out of the shelter. It was a great event. 44 fuzzy babes were adopted between Friday and Sunday :) YAY!
Mommy ran to get dinner after volunteering and arrived home to you, Buddha, hiding under a blanket in the living room with Daddy. Bodhi, you were still sleeping so Mommy went upstairs to wake you. We all ate dinner together and then Mommy helped you two make Christmas ornament gifts (this batch turned out much better than our last). We still have several to make, but 6 more were completed tonight and you two had a blast. Bodhi, you also brushed Mommy's nasty hair. Mommy was out in the rain most of the day, and you thought I needed to be fixed up hee/hee While our ornaments baked, Mommy made you two a cup of hot chocolate with marshmellows and whip cream :) yummm! You two loved it of course. We then got our jammies on and the battle to get you, Buddha, to sleep begun! Nighty night sweet babes!
