A Visit From Ryan And Holly

When posting this blog, I accidentally deleted yesterday's blog, UGGGGGH!  I'll have to re-post yesterday's blog when I have more time!!!

Mommy and Daddy had a slow start to the day, but that didn’t stop the two of you from getting up and ready for the worldJ. Daddy fell asleep on the couch, and you came down and got Daddy moving Ms. Bodhi. You asked for the chocolate milk and your tv program to be selected on the living room tv, then Daddy went into the office and did some work and listened to the morning news. Jude then came down to explore what was going on, and Daddy finally got moving to go to Westfield to get the oil changed for Mommy’s car. Sister Kelly sent a message through Blackboard IM that Ryan and Holly might be coming for a visit so Daddy relayed the message to Mommy and then headed out for what was expected to be an arduous journey.

Sure enough, the roads were incredibly slick and the wind was significantly a factor. Daddy called Ryan and confirmed they were coming and cautioned him to be careful. Then, Daddy paid close attention to his driving, and whew was that critical. Daddy had never witnessed so many cars off in ditches and between Westfield and back witnessed three vehicles, including a semi with trailer, lose control and go off the road. Daddy was thankful to get the oil changed and get safely back home!

Shortly after returning to Kokomo, Ryan and Holly stopped in for an afternoon visit. Both looked great, and Daddy was simply thrilled to see his oldest son, Ryan Michael. Amanda commented on how much Ryan and you, Bodhi, look alike. Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron stopped by, and Brother Sean Francis joined us somewhat later, and we enjoyed a pizza party together and exchanged Christmas gifts. We talked for a while about Ryan’s (and to a lesser extent, Holly’s) world travels, and his upcoming trip to Colombia. Daddy stressed a request he please travel safely! Ryan and Holly never stay very long for a visit and expressed concern they need be on the road home in order to travel more safely while still light outside. Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron also had to leave as Aaron was scheduled to work. Daddy so wishes Ryan could visit more frequently!

After everyone else left, Mommy and Sean worked diligently being Santa helpers, while Daddy did some running for some supplies. Mommy and Sean, both, are excellent Santa helpers! Sean completed some Santa helper work, and expressed he had to go home and eat and settle in for a cold winter’s night. Around 8:40 p.m. Daddy made his way over to Grandma’s to pick the two of you up from your visit (Mommy ran the two of you over around 3 p.m. this afternoon, after our pizza party with Ryan and Holly).

Both of you were tired and said you had great fun at Grandma’s, and Mommy and Daddy immediately got the two of you off to bed. Daddy tucked you in and gave you a big hug and kiss, Princess Bodhi. And then, Daddy rocked you to sleep Prince Buddha, and softly lay you down on your bed and snuggled you with warm blankets.

After getting you both to sleep, Mommy and Daddy continued some chores around the house, though as usual Mommy had more energy than Daddy. Daddy’s foot was throbbing, so he had a dose of his medicine and Mommy and Daddy each had a dose of coffee and Irish cream as a nightcap. Knowing the predictable outcome, Daddy whispered a sweet “night, night” to all, and implored Mommy to come to bed. “Night, night,” and sweet dreams of sugar plums to all!

Daddy failed to mention, Mommy's slow start to the day was due to the fact that at 11pm last night, our electricity went out and the two of you awakened a little while after all freaked out ha/ha  Needless to say, you both ended up sleeping soundly (like little pin wheels/how you are not exhausted from all your guy's movement I'll never know) in Mommy's bed, while Mommy was up most of the night ha/ha  If you two weren't kicking, you two were being little furnaces.   Mommy ended up shedding most of my clothes when it was all said and done.

Two pull-up butts!  Our attempt at nap tme today!

Santa asked Daddy for some help in preparation for Christmas morning...Daddy then suckered Brother Franky with bribes of coffee and Irish cream ha/ha :)

You two helped Mommy get those old creepy pictures out of our antique frames and your two beautiful faces framed :)
