The Crankers New Year's Eve Celebration

We were a grumpy group today.  This morning, you Jude, got out of Mommy's bed (yes, you have now made it a midnight habit to come get in bed with Mommy and usually Daddy), but you headed downstairs to tell Daddy as you do every morning, "Get Mommy coffee Daddy, Mommy needs coffee so she can get up."  It is hilarious, and absolutely precious.  You say it like Mommy won't survive and you desperately need your Momma :)  Mommy made it out of bed and sat in your room, Jude. You and your sister had me read books to you while Daddy ran some errands. Once Daddy returned, Mommy took a shower and headed to the minute clinic at CVS to get some meds. Mommy loves just walking into the drug store and getting right in to see a nurse practitioner, done in a matter of 15-20 minutes. It's so much easier than making a doctor's appointment and waiting around for an hour.

Mommy however, made the huge mistake of sticking around to have CVS fill the prescriptions.  We (Mommy, Daddy, Grandmoo) have always had issues with the CVS pharmacy, and well, today was no different. Mommy waited for a good 45 minutes, after being told it would only take 10 minutes, before I decided to get in line and ask what the deal was...well, the deal was, they never bothered to call my name, uggggh!  So, what could have been a 20 minute doctor visit, and ten minute prescription fill, took over an hour.  Mommy hurried home to get back to you two.  Daddy had successfully put you two bed for an afternoon nap.  Mommy then attempted to take a nap, but that didn't happen as planned.  Daddy wanted to run to the grocery before the snow hit, and as soon as he left, you both awakened. First, you Ms. Bodhi, decided to poop in your emergency pull-up.  What the heck is up with that?  Mommy was furious.  You were awake and just being lazy, no accident.  Mommy let it go, but grumpy sick Mommy did scold you :(

Buddha, you decided you were going to play in your room.  Mommy said go for it.  You would periodically run into Bodhi's room, where Mommy was snuggling Bodhi (after feeling guilty about getting upset with Bo over her poopy pull-up and mess, Mommy made up by snuggling up to her) you, Jude, would yell something crazy and then run back into your room to play, or downstairs where Daddy was laying down after returning from the store.  Who knows what all you got into?  You were not being monitored very closely by anyone.  You did have a great time though...you had every toy strung out all over your room, good for you :)

Mommy threw you both in a bath after Bodhi, decided she had been snuggled enough.  Mommy figured you both would feel better, and since we aren't going to walk downtown to watch the ball drop, as we had planned to do every year after last year, we might as well get some clean fresh jammies on.  Other than last year, Mommy has been sick every New Year for the past eight or nine years, ugggh! So maybe next New Years Celebration we can pick up on our ball dropping tradition.  Though last year, a couple with a baby in a stroller next to us, had a stray bullet hit their baby :( YIKES!  The baby was ok, thankfully, but maybe we need to rethink our tradition, I'm game for anything other than being sick!!!

Bodhi, while getting you toweled off in the bathroom, you heard Sean Franky's voice downstairs.  You said, "Momma, is that my people?"  BAHAHAHA!  It's so funny how you call Sister Kelly, Brother Aaron, and Brother Sean Franky, "Your People."  You ran downstairs to have Franky pour you some apple juice and fetch you a piece of cheese while Mommy finished getting Buddha dried off and dressed.  Mommy boycotted making dinner  tonight.  Daddy had a hankering for tacos (blaaah) so you two got all jazzed up for some New Year's Eve Dora the Explorer tacos from Taco Hell.  Daddy called to report the entire west end of town had loss power, so he would be heading south.  Daddy wanted to go some where else, as did Mommy, but I knew you two would be disappointed, so Daddy went and fetched us some Taco Bell (Mommy could puke just thinking about it right now).  While Daddy with his horrible migraine, was out on his adventure, Mommy fed kitties, as you two stood on our church bench in the kitchen and watched as Mommy walked out to the kitty mansion (our nightly routine) and then Mommy had to give Mr. Arlo all five of his medications (yes, we recently had a $350 dollar vet bill for Mr. Arlo's skin and ear issues), and then I had to give Ms Allie her three nightly meds for her blown knee :(  You two helped, Mr. Arlo has been friendlier since he's starting to feel better.  You two give Allie and Arlo a treat after they take their meds.  Then Mommy gave each of you your three medications and took all three of my medications.  We then sat at the dining room table waiting for dinner.

After our TERRIFIC dinner ha/ha we all headed to the living room, blankets in hand and curled up to watch Max and Ruby, and Team Umi Zoomey (sp?) before you two headed to bed.  Mommy then vaccuumed the upstairs, all the dog hair has been really getting to Mommy, I couldn't take sleeping in all the dust and dander another night.  Bodhi, you got back up and reminded Mommy that I had promised you and your brother an animal cracker after dinner.  So, we had an animal cracker for our News Years celebration.  Buddha, you have been coughing up a storm.  Mommy is going to get you some more cough medicine and snap a picture of you, and your sister.  Mommy hasn't felt like moving, let alone taking pictures :(  We've gotta have a picture for the last day of 2012!  Happy New Years my sweet sweet baby butts.

PS Mommy is freaking out, the first 200 posts on this blog are missing :(  Mommy's friend Carrie Talbott did some researching and she can still see the posts, so there is still hope.  Mommy has got to start getting  these posts printed, uggggh!

PSS Family pictures will be sent out to the Grills' side once I receive them.  Also, Great Papaw Grills... you have a Christmas gift coming...I've just got to get around to mailing it

Dang it, Mommy woke you up :(

"Oh Mommarazzi!"

Instead of "Where's Waldo...?" it's "Where's Jude?"
