Wet Wednesday

No, it was not raining. In fact, it was a beautiful spring day, and a beautiful Daddy Wednesday! We started early as usual with you Bodhi, awaking and visiting Mommy and then joining Daddy downstairs for a diaper change and the news. After Buddha got up, Daddy made breakfast of eggs and sausage and toast and cherry pastry and apple juice (for babies) and coffee (not for babies)---Mommy can’t eat eggs because it makes her sickL, but we all still enjoyed breakfast.

After breakfast, we all went outside and played for a little while, then off to Lowes for some flower shopping, and by then, believe it or not, it was lunch time so we all had an eat-in-the-car root beer stand coney dog lunchJ. Then we headed for home for nap time (for some of usJ) and flower planting time for Mommy.

After nap time, Bodhi, you and Daddy were sent on a mission from Mommy to Menards to buy some more flowers, and upon return home you became Mommy’s flower-child flower-planting assistant. You awakened late from your nap, Buddha, and by then Mommy had constructed a water play stand in our back yard and the two of you, Bodhi and Buddha, had a water park adventure (and a wet one!) right in our back yardJ!  Our neighbor, Ms. Susan, two doors down passed along the toy to you two, her grandbabies had outgrown it J  Thank you Ms. Susan J

We had another quote for the backyard privacy fence, so it won’t be long until that project is underway. While the two of you were doing the outside waterpark adventure and Mommy was still beautifying our yard with her flower arrangement-planting, Daddy took Mr. Arlo in for his stitches from his recent surgery to be removed. When we got home, Sister Kelly had come by and was playing with the two of you in the back yard and decided to stay with us for dinner. Daddy made a pizza run, and we all had pizza and breadsticks while Mommy finished off the flower planting. Right before dinner, Sister Kelly discovered that Arlo’s incision site had opened wide-open, so Daddy called the animal hospital and rushed Mr. Arlo back in to see Dr. Swart. Mr. Arlo came home with numerous staples in his neck, and a new regimen of antibioticsL. Thank goodness Sister Kelly was attentive and found Arlo’s wound in time for Daddy to get him back in for treatmentJ. Daddy has reported several times to Mommy that he really likes the people at The Jefferson Street Animal HospitalJ.

Daddy has been worried about Brother Sean lately, and Sister Kelly reported she is concerned he has been down lately. Mommy told Daddy that Brother Sean came by today to visit, but other than Mommy we were all napping. Daddy wants to encourage Brother Sean to finish up his internship course requirement this summer so he can finish his undergraduate degree with Manchester College and hopefully Daddy can assist finding a job. Daddy is very unhappy with the assistance of Manchester College and intends to publicize that discontent!

Finally, Mommy and Bodhi made a late-night run to recover escaped kitties and did in fact find Baby Kitty and Boy Kitty and got them returned to our “Kitty Shelter.” “Blue Kitty” returned on her own, only to leave again, but just maybe there is progress being madeL. Daddy is skeptical, while Bodhi and Mommy remain eternal optimists (thank goodnessJ).

Night, night!

Bodhi, the best flower planter assistant ever!!! :)

"Dirty hands Momma!"

We made the biggest mess on the porch! :)-

Bodhi playing with her new toy, water works :)

You were having fun Bo, but you agreed with Momma... you'd be having so much more fun with your brother, the terrorist! :)

Let the games begin... Buddha, you immediately detached two of the pieces ha/ha

"Help fix it Momma!"

Splish Splash!

Brother and Sister fun!

It's 2:27 a.m. and Mommy just got done cleaning the downstairs... we brought so much dirt inside after day of playing :)  It's all clean now! :)
