"Terrific Two's"

Well, Aunt Ti likes to refer to "Terrible Two's" as "Terrific Two's," which is sound advice for how a Momma should think about this wonderful time of defiant behavior, bad attitudes, hitting, biting, and pulling hair, oh and the "NO's!" :0 Uggggh!  Juders, Mommy is calling it...you have officially entered the "Terrific Two's," at the age of 19 months! A good friend, Carrie,  reminded Mommy that this is you trying to attain your independence :(   You apparently woke up deaf this morning, and so the rest of the day was spent repeating "Jude, Jude, Jude, No, No, NO, Time-out, I'm going to pop your butt, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3!"  Wow, today you were wildly out of control Mr.  Just as Mommy was about to snap, you would throw out a "I sowwy Mommy," or "I wub ouu Mommy," or "tank ouu Mommy,"  which provided you with a new fresh start.  Mommy cannot believe my sweet little Mommy's boy can be so evil hee/hee  Bodhi, honey, I know when you and your brother are teenagers I'll feel differently, but you are an absolute angel!!!!

This morning when Mommy and Daddy were getting you both dressed, you, Bodhi grabbed hold of your foot-board and started doing ballerina moves!  Mommy and Daddy were amazed, we knew right away what you were doing but we still haven't figured out where you learned them.  You told us you wanted to be a ballerina :)  So, when you turn three, Mommy is going to enroll you in ballet :)  You also continue to use the potty, on average about two-three times per day :)  Good Girl!  Buddha, I love you little man, I adore you, and that is why you survived the morning!

Yesterday it was 80 degrees and beautiful, today we were back to wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts, it was windy and chilly.  Bodhi, you went with Mommy to visit our feline companions in the Cat House, and Buddha, you went with Daddy to run some errands before he had to be at his doctor's appointment for his back.  Bodhi, you are so good with the cats, Mommy allowed you to stay in the Cat House and play with Baby and pet Boy while Mommy went back into the house to get fresh water and food for them :)  You are so good with animals!!

When Daddy returned we all went inside and Mommy made you two lunch.  Jude, this has always been a battle with you.  You can't stand for Mommy to be in the kitchen without you.  You scream and cry "Mommy," as if I'm beating you, all because you want me to hold you while I cook.  Who knows what our neighbors think about these major tantrums.  After lunch Mommy was so relieved for nap time!  You both went down and Mommy got the crock pot going with our dinner, green beans, potatoes, bacon, sausage, onions, and a little brown sugar... YUMMM!  GiGi showed up to sit while you two napped so Mommy could transport a client to an appointment.  Mommy knew you two would be awake when Mommy returned, even though I was only gone for a half hour.  GiGi promised she didn't wake you two up ha/ha, she said Juders was yelling "Mommy, Daddy, Bo Bo," over and over.  GiGi then heard footsteps in your room Bodhi.  GiGi said she went in your room first, Bo, and she said you immediately told her "GiGi, Bubba's awake."  You two suckered GiGi into taking you two to her house for a little while, an hour and a half.  Juder's you were horrible!  You were treating Mommy the way you treat Daddy when he tries to take you from me! You were lucky Mommy let you go!  The only reason Mommy let you go is to get a break ha/ha  and that's how you survived the afternoon/early evening.

After stink butt went to bed, Bodhi, you decided you weren't ready to go to sleep.  Mommy who had been looking forward to getting some projects done tonight, decided to do something fun with you and allow you to stay up late.  We hadn't done anything creative since dying Easter eggs, which isn't all that creative :)  so you drew Grandpa Kurt a birthday card, and then you made Grandmoo, GiGi and Gi-Pa a picture.  Mommy told you we would secretly deliver the pictures tonight, you were super excited Bo :)  Mommy wishes Grandma Betty and all your Aunties lived closer because they would have got a picture too!  After you made all your pictures we jumped in the car and headed to our first delivery, Grandmoo.  Grandmoo busted us!  We scared her to death, she slowly opened the door and jumped ha/ha  You then had to chase kitties around the neighborhood with Grandmoo, visiting our "Mean Kitty" that we released.  You had a blast!  We then went to GiGi's and Gi-Pa's but we didn't get busted this time.   After we hung their picture on their door, Mommy rang the doorbell and we ran for the car.  Mommy isn't sure if they got it tonight, but they are sure to have a nice surprise in the morning :)  When we returned home we visited our cats and then headed for bed.  Mommy again had hopes of getting some projects done or even cleaning our dirty house, but Mommy caught a funny movie on tv and it's now 11:30 p.m.  So, sweet dreams my sweet babes... my angel and devil child :)  Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

PS Mommy didn't get any pictures during the day today.  So, Buddha, you aren't pictured ha/ha but Bodhi, Mommy got some pictures of you on our super secret mission :)

Bodhi excited to deliver her artwork! :)

First stop, Grandmoo's house :)

BUSTED!

Grandmoo put her jacket on you, and you two were off looking for the neighborhood strays, particularly Mean Kitty... you got distracted by this street/hole cover thingy with a light on top, so Grandmoo felt compelled to show and explain what exactly it was.  Mommy could have just said you two weirdos were looking for cats underneath it LOL

Second Stop... GiGi's and Gi-Pa's :)

Mission Accomplished :)

"Wake up Baby, we're having a party!"

Two sweet baby girls!!!

"Well, hello BOY! :)

Sweet Baby... hard to believe "Mean Kitty" is her brother!  We should have named her Bodhi and her brother, Jude!

Bodhi trying to get Baby to look at the camera for Momma :)
PS Mommy is soooooo blessed to work for my employer, Child and Family Partners, from my home and/or in people's home's, and on my own schedule... I get to do fun late night adventures with my babes, and most importantly, I get to watch you two grow up...even if some days are crazy exhausting and frustrating, ummmm JUDE!  Mommy never imagined being a stay at home/work at home/go to school at home type mom, but the truth is I LOVE IT, most days!
