Animal Wellness Day And Family Dinner Night

Good Morning sweet babes!  Mommy made you two a huge helping of blueberry waffles and sausage patties, with small sippies filled with milk for breakfast.  Bodhi, you started your morning taking a big potty on the big girl potty,YAY!  We got the call that "Boy Garfield" had been captured by the lady that lives behind Grandmoo, so we packed in the car and headed over Grandmoo's way to pick up or Big Boy Garfield.  You two were "meow'ing" the entire way there and the entire way home.  Poor Garfield, he was probably really freaked out by all the "Meow'ing":)-  He looked good  though, and he settled in to his Cat House right away.  You two took turns making Boy Garfield and Ms. Blue nervous, as well as ever so gently petting them.  Well, neither of you could get close enough to Ms. Blue, but Boy Garfield received some lovin's :)

After taking care of our kitties and their Cat House, we then shifted our focus to Mr. Arlo.  Mr. Arlo showed more energy than he has in a very long time.  Mr. Arlo has been depressed acting since the passing of his brother, Mr. Murff.  He was hilarious after surgery yesterday! He couldn't sit up without falling asleep while his head was bobbing up and down.  He really looked drunk.  Today, he was much more coherent and constantly on alert, even barking at cats and other dogs...  it's been a while since he's barked at other animals!  You two jumped in your wagon, well, Bodhi, you walked with Mr. Arlo for about a block, but after a block or so, you jumped in the wagon too, and we continued our Mr. Arlo morning walk.  He did very well, only stopping to rest once.  After we returned home, Mr. Arlo went inside to get a drink of water and cool down, and you two played on the swing set and in the dirt.  Jude, what is up with you drinking dirt from your cups?  You cry every time you do it, but yet you keep doing it, YUCK!

Once Mommy got you two wore out, you both went down for an afternoon nap, well past the afternoon.  Mommy took the opportunity to work on projects while you two were sleeping.  Mommy is very proud of the cast iron, freestanding mailbox I refinished today.  I've looked for weeks for a particular color to paint our rails and any other accents (which matches our neighbor down the street) without success.  Mommy decided to mix all of her blue and green paints to create the perfect color.  Mommy fell in love with the mailbox right away, it was a Treasure Mart find.  Daddy bought it for Mommy as a surprise Easter present.  It was painted the ugliest and brightest chrome/silver.  Today, Mommy brought back it's antique charm by giving it an antique finish :)  I am truly upset with myself for not taking a "before" picture, darn it!  While working on it, Uncle Hawk stopped by to see you both.  It never fails, Uncle Hawk always stops by when you two are napping.  He was disappointed to only get to talk to Mommy "an old hag" as Uncle Hawk tells me ha/ha but he promises to stop back by for another visit real soon!

Mommy visited and also tended to the kitties and Mr. Arlo while you two were napping, as well as throughout the evening... giving medicine and making certain that they are comfortable.  Unless Boy Garfield hid a circular saw up his bum, he's not escaping tonight! :)-  This evening Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron came over to visit you both, per Daddy's request.  He sent Mommy on a mission to pick up his medicines and Mommy conducted an early drop on my client.  When Mommy returned, we all cooked out, hamburgers, and had quite a feast with lots of yummy sides.  Bodhi and Jude, you watched "Hop" with Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron while Mommy cooked.  Mommy even made some after dinner chocolate chip cookies, yummm!  After a nice family dinner, and plenty of playtime, you both gave Sister Kelly and Brother Aaron big sloppy kisses and hugs, and they left for home.  You both retired to bed shortly after.  Bodhi, you have "Rio" playing as you slip into dreamland.  Buddha, you are still content with falling asleep to your classical CD :)  Sweet Dreams my sweet babes!!

Bodhi on the big girl potty!!!
YAY, so proud of you!  You said, "Momma, go potty!"  Mommy grabbed the camera and we ran for the bathroom.  The first picture Mommy took, Mommy had to erase it ha/ha it was terribly inappropriate!!!

"BING!"
From the minute you wake up until that last minute when you fall asleep at night, and every minute in between, all you want and all you think about, well besides food, is "BALL," "BALL," "BALL!"  You say "Bing" every time you throw it :)  You like to throw balls or any object at people when they're not looking, which isn't nice, but no one can help but to laugh at your "BING!"  that always follows ha/ha

"Momma, Momma, BING!"

Bodhi on our Mr. Arlo walk... running down the alley yelling "Kitty, Kitty Kitty," while chasing a stray cat ha/ha  That cat booked!

NO, NO Ju Ju, don't "Bing" your football at Mr. Arlo!

"Look at me Momma!"  All I hear all day long from you and your brother is  "Momm, Momma, Momma, look Mommy, Mommy, Momm, Momma!"  I say back "Bodhi, Bodhi, Bodhi, Jude, Jude, Jude!"

Mr. Arlo working it out... feeling good on some pain meds :)

Don't worry Great Papaw Grills, we are still very careful around Mr. Arlo.  However, Bodhi and Mr. Arlo have come long way since Bodhi has grown and since Buddha no longer crawls :)

"Well, hello Mr. Boy Garfield, how was your overnight adventure away from home?"  Doesn't it feel good to be back in the Cat House? :)

"That's a good kitty!"  Bodhi, as a baby you acted like a dog, now that you've been exposed to cats, you now go around the house "meowing" and "hissing,"  and licking your paws hee/hee  Ju Ju, you even started licking your paws :)  Today we all played "good kitty" and "bad kitty" for like an entire hour.  Bodhi, you were hilarious.  You would lure Mommy in acting as if you were a sweet kitty wanting to bed rubbed on, and when Mommy would go to scratch your head, you would "HISSSS"  like our first kitty did "Bad Kitty."  :)

Ms. Blue Kitty :)  She still runs and hides, but she's getting better!  She has yet to claw, hiss or bite :)

Test run!  Mommy still has to tone it down with some black as well as seal it!  Oh and I have to clean off the blue paint I accidentally got on the gold part.  I think it looks much better in person, I'm definitely proud of how it turned out :)  hee/hee

There's a picture on the back of an old man "Daddy," a fat lady, "Mommy," and a tubby little round-faced dog, "Mr. Arlo!"

I'm so mad I didn't take a "before" picture... the inside is still the original color.
