Today was Daddy Day, and it began with juice and egg sandwiches, progressed to playing monster (Bodhi, you run from “the monster” and Buddha, you run to “the monster”—how precious is that! And Bodhi, when we play monster you keep pointing at your brother and saying “Dadda, bubba” to make certain “the monster” knows to get Buddha and not you—how precious is that! We also spent a good part of our morning talking about the adventure of moving into our new home soon—we are truly counting the days!
After lunch of pasta and fruit, we all went down for a nap, and while the two of you slept Sean stopped by and Mommy came home for a few hours and the three of us watched a funny movie titled “Horrible Bosses” or something like that, it really was hilarious. Toward the end of the movie, the two of you awakened and joined us downstairs and then we were visited by a representative of a moving company to provide an estimate of moving our furniture into our new house.
Mommy went back to work and Daddy later fed the two of you grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken noodle soup for dinner, and shortly thereafter Mommy came home again and we had family time watching a cute movie called “Zookeeper.” The two of you struggled to make it to the end of the movie, and both of you welcomed an invitation to get off to bed early—Daddy truly believes the anxiousness of awaiting our opportunity to move to our new dream home is wearing on each of us.
So, off to bed you both went with hugs and kisses from Mommy and Daddy, and whispers that an incredible adventure awaits us taking possession of our new home, and as the two of you drifted off to sleep Daddy could tell that in your dreams you were counting the days.
And so are Mommy and Daddy, you Princess and Prince of Indiana---your royal palace on Walnut Street is calling out to us…come, an incredible adventure awaitsJ
"What the heck is going on here?" Bodhi, you and Buddha were dancing up a storm...so much so, your pants kept falling down! |
"Crack!" |
"I'm working on it!" |
"Sissy, you can't go to town with your pants on the ground!" |
"That's some kind of dance move, Sis!" "I think I can do it!" |
"Ha/ha, nice try Buddha!" "You need a little more practice." :) |
Buddha, during our movie Mommy and Daddy to fetch you several times! You get into anything and everything...well, except your toys! |
