The "Before" Pictures of Our New Home!

Wowzers!  Mommy had court in Lafayette today, so you two were off to Aunt Ti's for the morning.  Mommy had a good day at court :) but was starting to drag on the drive home :(  Mommy picked you two up and got you home, an hour later than usual, and down for your naps.  Boy, you two slept and slept and slept.  You both went down at 1:45pm and slept until 5:15pm!  Mommy got some bookcases packed while you two napped (Daddy has the largest personal book collection ever, ugggh!  Then this evening, Mommy and Daddy took turns taking things to the house we didn't want to pack in boxes, either because of size or it would just simply be in the way. Mommy used her down time to cuddle with you both.  Buddha you are still sicky :(  Bodhi, you've managed not to catch it yet...knock on wood. Mommy and Daddy are both exhausted beyond words!  Our house sure is beautiful though.  Despite Daddy telling Mommy he loved our home, but thought it was eerie being there by himself, Mommy did some drops late this evening as well.  Mommy didn't get spooked, which is surprising because I spook easily.  Mommy felt good vibes, even when walking into the pitch black, big old empty house! So, Mommy is posting "before" pictures of all the empty rooms, and as I get each room just the way I want it, I'll post the finished rooms!  This is one of Mommy's greatest passions!

The only picture of you two today... at Aunt Ti's when Mommy picked you up :)

View when walking in front door (wall paper is down...Mommy will add some color and new floor coverings)

View looking right from front door

View looking left from front door (Mommy loves the pocket door here!)

Living or Family Room (new curtains and paint is the plan for this room)

Another view of Living/family room (Mommy would love if the floors were all darker!)

The door to Daddy's office is off the family/living room (paint and new funky carpeting/plus jazz up the built-ins)

Another view of Daddy's spacious office!

One of two doors off of Daddy's office leads to this little storage hallway (Mommy will have all the file boxes colorfully decorated hiding away work, shelves will also be jazzed up)

From the storage hallway you are lead into the half bath (this bath will be GUTTED!)  The only thing I can say I like about it is.... Daddy and eventually JuJu can poo in it!

More storage area off of the kitchen and bathroom (Mommy will have the same flooring that will eventually replace the kitchen floor in here also...knobs switched out as well, and some color on the walls)

Laundry room off of the kitchen, storage, and bathroom (the cabinet is actually from Taylor HS after the tornado)  I'll add plenty of whimsey in here too!
Mommy's least favorite room... kitchen!  Not only do I hate to cook, but I really won't be motivated in this kitchen (GUT!)

Off of kitchen, our dinning room!  Mommy's favorite!  I have big big plans for this room.  It will be the best room in the house!

Dinning room, it has a door leading to our wrap around porch :)

Dinning room looking back toward front door (this house has SO MANY doors)

Stairs (new carpet and color on the walls please)

Second set of stairs

First Room to the left... Mommy's craft/creative room!  Big Big plans for this tiny space :)

Looking down the hall from Mommy's craft room (carpet and color needed badly!)

Room next to craft room, at the top of the stairs... Mommy and Daddy's bedroom! :)  It's the biggest room with the smallest closet.

Buddha's room down the hall on the right (best windows and biggest closet!)

Another view of Buddha's room
Right across the hall from Buddha's room... Ms. Bodhi's "BLUE" room :)

Bodhi, you would touch the walls, then touch your chest and say "Blue, Bo Bo!"

Bodhi, your closet is huge too!  Daddy is a clothes hoarder, so he and Jude will share the big closet, you'll have your own, and Mommy will have her own small little closet

Best Bathroom ever (minus the carpet in part of it)

Bodhi and Mommy's poo station hee/hee

Vanity

Window going back down the stairs :)

Front (Mommy wishes the siding was a color!)
