Spring is Near

It was a beautiful day outside today.  It definitely made up for yesterday's crumminess!  We were go go go all day long, or at least, Mommy was go go go all day long.  Mommy had to clean the house, take care of the two of you, take a test, and get Jude bathed and to his six month well-child checkup.  While Mommy took Jude to the doctor, Bodhi, you went with your Daddy to pick out some flowers for Mrs. Hale.

Jude, you are in the 95 percentile for all areas of growth!  That means you are bigger than 95% of the population your age :)-  You weighed in at 20.9 pounds, you are 28 inches long (which Dr. Zentz was shocked at your jump in height and believes you'll be 6'2''), and your head was 18 inches round (you are catching your big apple head sister).  Dr. Zentz also made a discovery at your appointment today... you have an ear infection :(  You poor little guy, you have shown no signs of having an ear infection.  You've been happy, you haven't had a fever, you haven't tugged at your ear, nothing to indicate that you have an ear infection.  Dr. Zentz gave us prescription and wants to check you out in 4-6 weeks, especially since you are a baby that doesn't indicate when you are sick.  You also got your vaccinations today, four total, one oral and three shots to those tubby thighs of yours.  You were a trooper though, when the nurse would prick you with a needle, you would squeal like a piggy but then you would start smiling when your Momma talked to you.  By the third shot you started to cry, but as soon as Momma picked you up you were all smiles again.  Your next well-child checkup will be when you are nine months old.

After your well-child checkup, Mommy packed up a bag of dry cleaning to take to the cleaners, arranged Mrs. Hale's flowers, packed you both in the stroller, and headed to Stites cleaners.  Mrs. Hale liked her flowers and got to see the two of you :)  Mommy had planned to take you to the park after going to the cleaners, but Mommy's curtains were too heavy and cumbersome to stroll all the way to the park.  So, we headed back to the house to drop off the curtains.  The plan was to make the drop and then stroll to the park, however, on our way home we saw sister Kelly in her car driving.  We met her back at the house and picked up the fuzzies and headed to the field instead.  Sister Kelly walked you Bodhi, and Bodhi,  you walked Mr. Murff.  Mommy strolled Jude in the stroller and walked Mr. Arlo.    We played in the field for a while and then returned home.  Bodhi, you were being a stinker, so Mommy figured you were hungry.  By the time Mommy got done feeding you both, it was close to your guy's bedtime, so Mommy put on some cartoons and finished cleaning the house while you two entertained yourselves.  You both were more than ready for bed and went right to sleep.  Jude, you've woke twice since Mommy has been writing this blog, I think you are starting feel that ear infection :(  Sweet dreams lil' baby angels :)

Mommy has to try and figure out what is wrong with her camera, it stopped working today :(  The lens will no longer adjust, and Mommy can't get it to take a picture!  This could be a major disaster!

Grandmoo thinks this deep scary hole in the field is from the tunnels that ran under the old Steel Mill... Bodhi, you always like to explore around it, so Mommy acted like she was going to throw you in it!

Mr. Murff tried playing catch with you Juder's... he put the ball in the stroller right by your hand ;)
