First, I failed to mention in yesterday's blog... Mommy's friend, Janet Hurlock (Mommy went to school with her kids) stopped by with her daughter, Hope, and brought Mommy some beautiful fabric. How incredibly thoughtful, and it was so great to visit with Janet and Hope :) Thank you Ms. Janet!
This morning you two spent the morning with Momma. We spent most of the morning playing in the sandbox, sliding, and swinging. Mommy thought about doing housework, ha/ha but that's about all I did, think about it that is. We had fun playing and you two were ready for lunch and a nap when 1:30 p.m. rolled around. Bodhi, you were super excited to take your nap, you were looking forward to going to a soccer game with GiGi and Gi-Pa, your first! Mommy couldn't get over how excited you were, I of course used it to my advantage all morning long :) "Bodhi, if you can't share you can't go to a soccer game..." You were the best behaved little munchkin, but that's really nothing new :) Jude, you kept saying, "I go too Momma?" Mommy told you that you would get to go next time, and that today you were going to have a special day with Momma, and that made you happy!
After naps, GiGi called to make arrangements to get you, Bodhi. Mommy got you dressed and sent you downstairs with your Dora doll to wait on GiGi :) You kept coming back upstairs and reporting, "Mommy, GiGi's not here." HA! It totally defeated the purpose of sending you downstairs while I entertained your brother :) Skip a head to after the soccer game... GiGi said you were so excited until you were made to sit in the stands and watch ha/ha!! You kept telling GiGi, "GiGi, I want to the soccer game," and pointed to the field. You were so disappointed that you weren't there to play hee/hee GiGi felt so bad, you didn't want to watch (that's my girl) you wanted to play soccer! So, though it was a "major fail," GiGi and Gi-Pa still managed to make the experience fun for you :)
Buddha, while Sissy was away on her adventure, we started our Mommy/Buddha adventure at home. You dug holes and planted tulip bulbs, so we could have tulips next year. You LOVED it. You got tired of digging the holes though. Mommy took over digging the holes and you would pick up a bulb and say, "Mommy, ball here?" "Here Momma, here Momma!" Then you would throw the bulb or "ball" into the hole and cover it with dirt with your little shovel :) You also helped Mommy plant grass seed...we may have grass growing in the cracks of our driveway, in our flower beds, and everywhere else you don't want grass ha/ha! When we were finished planting you took charge of the hose and watered all of our plants and newly planted grass. Oh, you also spread straw all over the yard on top of the grass seed, and, well, all over the yard :) You and the cats had a blast with the straw. Buddha, you had a special dinner treat too. We turned on some tunes and went threw McDonald's drive through for a Happy Meal hee/hee You take after you Daddy when it comes to ordering (so annoying/they probably spit in our food because we take so long ha/ha). Mommy couldn't get you to commit to either a cheeseburger or chicken nuggets. You kept repeating what I asked. I had to rephrase it ten different ways :) You eventually settled on chicken nuggets.
After our planting, watering, and Happy Meal dinner, we took a quick shower together. Boy that was interesting, and not the best idea. You made Mommy hold you when I was rinsing your hair, and well, you about flew out of my arms several times, but we managed to get through our shower time without any head injuries :) After our shower we took Ms. Allie for her nightly walk. You love to take an evening ride in the carriage. You just sit back and relax. You occasionally yell out, "LIGHT, Momma," or "DOG, Momma!" You are so cute! Well, bedtime rolled around and you, Buddha, were very concerned that Bodhi wasn't home yet. "Momma, where Bo Bo?" I can't even come close to describing how serious and how high pitched your voice gets when you asked about your sister, it was so cute. GiGi had called to ask if Bodhi could spend the night, she was in the bath and she didn't want to come home :( GiGi said you, Bodhi, told her you would tell her when you had to go potty in the middle of the night, and that you promised her you wouldn't potty in her bed. While Mommy was on our walk with Buddha, Mommy had Daddy run over some p.j.'s and pull-ups after he got off work :) My little girl is growing up :(
Buddha, Mommy managed to get you down, despite Bodhi not being home to tell you night night and that she loves you. You had Mommy turn on "Chicken Run," and then you were OUT! Mommy then had a late night date night with Dianna down the road. Mommy walked down, carrying a bottle of blackberry wine, at 10:30 p.m. We were just opening the bottle when Dianna's husband arrived home from his trip early. He insisted that we continue with our "Girl's Night/Momma's Wine Night" and joined us for some delicious brownies :) hee/hee Dianna and I drank the bottle of wine ourselves. And what do you think we talked about during our much needed time-out... our children ha/ha You babes are a hoot! Mommy's date night wrapped up at 12:30 a.m. and Mommy walked home! It was such a great day, and a super great night, a perfect ending to a perfect day. Bodhi, the house didn't feel right with you gone :(
Sweet dreams my Moonbeam and Sunshine!
