This morning Bodhi, you requested waffles for breakfast, Buddha, you wanted eggs, and Mommy wanted bacon. So, guess what we had for breakfast? Of course... we had waffles, bacon, and eggs. We had a brunch feast. You two at a whopping two eggs, two waffles, and two pieces of bacon. Well, you, Bodhi actually had three eggs. Mommy made a bacon egg sandwich, only to discover I still can't eat eggs for some reason. They make me severely ill, so weird. Anyway, after our yummy brunch, Mommy took you two for a long carriage ride. We walked to the post office, and then to Walgreens to buy some bubble gum... a first for you both. We arrived back home around 1:30 p.m. and you two took an afternoon nap.
Mommy mowed our yard and took a shower. You two awakened just after 4pm. Mommy finished getting ready and Daddy arrived home from work. Daddy helped Mommy get you two ready and then we headed off to our party... Uncle Jeffy's (one of Mommy's oldest and "bestest" friends') going away party. Uncle Jeffy and his partner are moving to California where he took a job. Uncle Jeffy's partner is a doctor and they'll both be living a block from the beach (he said we could come visit anytime, Yay!). You two instantly attached to all of the Isaacs! The Isaacs were like a second family for Momma, along with several other neighborhood families Mommy grew up with. Mommy has known Jeffy and his family for 27 years, wow Mommy is getting old! Of course I was VERY young when first introduced to the family :) Mommy and Uncle Jeffy use to spend the night with each other all through school. Outsiders probably frowned on our mother's allowing us to stay over with one another from such an early age and all through high school, but we all knew, probably before Jeffy hee/hee Jeffy was definitely gay :). I can publicly write that now, he reported that he is "out" to all of his family now... FINALLY! We were the best of friends and absolutely never attracted to one another ha/ha, that's funny just writing it! And you two were instantly bonded and loved Uncle Jeffy and his family right away. We ate, talked, and played on the swing set. Mommy got a picture of you with Uncle Jeffy as we said our goodbyes and wished Uncle Jeffy the best! It's sad that's he's leaving, however, Mommy is so excited and happy for him, and all his new life changes! We love you Jeffy!
After Uncle Jeffy's party, we headed to Grandmoo's, who still isn't getting around or feeling very well this past week. Mommy had to mow our other yard, so Grandmoo asked that you two come a long so she could give you both presents, your birthday present Mr. Buddha. Grandmoo says she never gets to see you guys open your gifts, so she wanted you two to open your gifts with her. When we arrived she was mowing our backyard. Mommy was so upset that went a head and mowed, knowing that I was going to do it. Now Grandmoo will be out of commission for another week :( Mommy mowed the rest of the backyard and you two played in the front. We all walked over to Grandmoo's where she had three presents on the table... one for Mommy's birthday, one for you, Buddha and your 2nd birthday, and one for you, Bodhi, just because :) She also had a pie on the table with a candle.
We all opened our gifts, well, Bodhi, you opened everyone's gifts. Grandmoo went overboard as usual. We all sat and ate pie and you two played with your gifts. Mommy now has my very own punch bowl, some cash for a shirt, and a Lowes gift card (guess who's room is getting painted, Mr. Buddha!?!) Bodhi, you got a doll with a dog (you have a collection of them at Grandmoo's) and some Hello Kitty makeup. Buddha, you got an adorable shirt (with the poison control symbol), a doll with a cat (yes, you love to play with dolls ha/ha), some Chapstick of your own hee/hee, and some new house slippers. We LOVED everything. After playing for a couple of hours, we headed home. Mommy picked up the downstairs (has it all ready to be quickly swept in the morning), and put all of the week's laundry away. The last couple of hours have been spent catching yesterday's and today's blog entries c (Mommy's distracted), and tomorrow, Buddha, YOU TURN TWO! It's your birthday :) I hope you Love your birthday, you are so excited. You grin the cutest grin when Mommy reminds you that your birthday is coming up. You told GiGi all about your birthday, decorations etc... :)
Sweet Dreams my Sweet Babes!

Practicing for your big day! |

Bodhi, tonight after Buddha went to bed, you stayed awake and built houses for Mommy with your blocks while I put clothes away. You made a blue house, a yellow house, and green house... you were so proud! Mommy cheered and insisted on taking a picture :) Unfortunately, Mommy hasn't figured out what is up with the blurry pictures, arrrrrgh! |
