Sunday Surprises

Today was filled with surprises for little ones. The day started (early as usual for you, Bodhi, you were up with Daddy earlier than Buddha and Mommy) with breakfast by Chef Mommy, the two of you gobbled down some nine eggs between you with some bagels on the side (you love bagels, Bodhi, like your Daddy). You continue to be on the mend, Buddha, and seem to be doing very well from you surgery. We are all comfortable being home from our “our vacation” (you insist when talking to Daddy, Bodhi, that it was “your vacation (Daddy)”:).

After breakfast, GiGi and GiPa came over to play outside with the two of you and to take you for a walk around the neighborhood. The visit gave Mommy and Daddy the opportunity to go to Menard’s and get some supplies for Mommy’s projects, and the trip resulted in the two of you benefiting from a new swing, a new slide, and a “horse swing” all of which Daddy built on to our outdoor wooden swing frame. The weather was a beautiful spring day, quite warm, and the two of you were in heaven playing outside and enjoying lunch on our picnic table. Mommy and Daddy had to distract the two of you with play while GiGi and GiPa made their way home, because the two of you never want them to leave :)!

We met our neighbor Susan from two houses over, her and her husband Marvin are retired (he from the Air Force and she as a pediatric physical therapist), the two of you really took up with Susan and paid special attention to her two outdoor cats she pointed out. The two of you were also mesmerized by our next door neighbor’s small outdoor fire pit (the two of you sat on a bench and watched as though you were at a movieJ). You both are so doggone adorable, it is a pure joy just to watch the two of you!

Mommy got in some work today, and busied herself with several home improvement projects and Daddy hardly got anything done today, other than to enjoy the special treat of watching two incredible, special babies at play. What a beautiful Sunday filled with nice surprises, we have a week of great weather to look forward to, and more play time outside in our backyard! Soon, we will be spending a great deal more time doing some yard projects and the two of you will no doubt have a blast helping Mommy and Daddy beautify our yard. Happy, happy day!!!
