A Mellow Brick Road...: Daddy Day Wednesday

You two were in for an extra special treat this morning! Daddy made you both corn dogs, but breakfast dogs... a sausage wrapped in a pancake! That was a nice treat, but that was just the beginning of an exciting morning. Daddy, with Mommy's help, got you both dressed and packed, and then Daddy took you on a wagon trail adventure. Daddy walked you two over to our old house to see if the grass needed mowed, we are showing it Friday (fingers crossed)! Daddy didn't stop at Gandmoo's because Mommy tried calling but she didn't answer, plus, he wanted to get you to the park :) You two knew instantly where you were, you both started yelling "Grandmoo, Grandmoo!" Daddy then took you both to the park to play. Daddy reported that there were tons of people at the park. Buddha, you climbed to the top of the big boy and girl slide, yelled down to Daddy, "READY!" and then slid down all by yourself :) You are so stinkin' cute! Bodhi, you are the master of the park, you navigate all the equipment like a pro! Mommy packed you all some snacks and water, so Daddy treated you to some healthy snacks before he pulled you all around downtown :) Mommy was at home cleaning... cleaning that still isn't completely done, but 95% done Jeff Phillips, Kristen and Sarah's dad. He was mowing his dad's yard across the street... he grew up right across the street and filled Mommy in on the neighborhood history :) He and Maryjane, his wife, recently gave Mommy an antique Main Street sign for our home, they are super nice and thoughtful folks!

When you all arrived home, Daddy sweaty and red-faced, you two with big smiles on your face, Mommy made you both lunch while Daddy allowed you to play out back on your swing set for a while longer. After lunch Daddy entertained you two while Mommy finished vacuuming the stairs. Mommy wanted to get the upstairs floors all clean so that I could work on the downstairs while you napped. You both took a nap for a couple of hours. Mommy continued to clean, and Daddy ran some errands. Our new dining room rug arrived today. Mommy and Daddy took our current dinning room rug and placed it in our bedroom. Bodhi, Daddy also picked up a mirrored candle sconce for your room for a couple of bucks :) Mommy painted it and hung it in your room with your guidance hee/hee When you awakened, you were very upset that our dining room rug was in Mommy's and Daddy's bedroom, Bodhi. You said "No, downstairs." Mommy explained that we have a new blue rug downstairs. You then looked at our old rug and said "ewww brown and red, new blue rug pretty." HA/HA! Daddy continued to play with you both this evening, while Mommy checked in sharing hugs and kisses. Mommy made us hamburgers on the grill and we all ate together as a family. You two had an absolute blast with your Daddy today. Buddha, you actually allowed Daddy to hold you when Mommy was in the room :) You both are so lucky to have such a wonderful Daddy who loves you more than you'll ever know! You both adore your Daddy, and I'm so happy you both got some much needed Daddy time in today :)

PS Mommy said in the last blog entry I was going to add the Menard's pictures... I of course forgot, so I'll include them in this entry. Also, with Mommy's memory completely gone, I spaced St. Patty's Day this year. So, today Mommy bribed you both with a soft mint candy if you two would sit together in your St. Patty's Day outfits and pose for a picture ha/ha! You did :)
