Sunday Surprise

Today was scheduled for a Sunday birthday surprise for Great Grandma Penny, but Grandpa Kurt and Great Grandma Penny never showed up as scheduled at 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. or 7 p.m., without even a call—Mommy tried calling both Grandpa Kurt on his cell and Great Grandma Penny’s house but no response. Finally, we gave up and invited GiGi and GiPa over for ice cream and they played with both of you, Bodhi and Buddha, and even ended up taking our baby Bodhi home for the night.  We hope everyone is ok.

It was a terrifically beautiful day today, and we all made an adventure trip to the antique shops to find a child chair for your table, Bodhi and Buddha, and to find Bodhi a kitten figurine. We were successful on both counts. Afterwards, both of you went down for your nap and Mommy started a full day activity of finishing staining and sealing our new porch swing.

Daddy tried to watch some of the NCAA basketball tournament games, without much success, when the two of you are up you don’t tolerate college basketballJ. Daddy made dinner tonight of macaroni and cheese and green beans. And Mommy is still doing great at her withdrawal from coke/soda products. She has been successfully drinking green tea as a substitute. Hooray for Mommy!

By the time everything was winding down, Daddy settled in for the Purdue/Kansas game, and Mommy settled back in to her porch swing staining project and other painting projects she has been busy with to transform our home into a beautiful “Lucas Home Furnishings” show home :)

Goodnight everyone, peace on this beautiful spring evening, love you two stinkers!!!

Stain, distressed, and sealed :)

THE END!

Bodhi, GiGi just called, you want Momma!  So no overnight with GiGi and Gi-Pa, you're coming home :)-
