Sheryl Crow and @ssholes

Mommy wasn't feeling well today, but as planned, we all packed up at the very last minute to go to the Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock concert.  Daddy agreed to go because Mommy wanted to see Sheryl Crow.   Mommy and Daddy unpacked you both and re-packed you and all of our supplies into the stroller and headed toward our lawn seats.  While walking toward the gates these group of "men," or assholes, to be more accurate, were standing outside their car drinking.  When we passed they yelled at us, "Who the F%ck brings their babies to a Kid Rock concert?"  Then some butch-ass loud mouth woman yells across the parking lot "My f*cking thought exactly!"  Mommy, who is already crampy and PMS'ing, quickly turned around to shoot them a look, I stopped before saying something crude back to them, since you both were with me.  Daddy looked at Mommy and said "don't get me into a fight!"  Hee/hee anyway, we continued on our journey to the gates.  Once inside Mommy couldn't believe her eyes... it was packed.  We've been to several "good" concerts and none had been so full.  Go figure, Kid Rock sells out, only in Indiana!  The crowd was, let me say, less than hippie friendly, quite the opposite.  We were there to see Sheryl Crow, and it was obvious from the crowd, they were all there to see Kid Rock.  Daddy found us an empty patch of grass along the fence line, away from the rest of the concert goers, and then he headed back down to the pavalion to fetch us all some dinner.  Sheryl Crow started playing, and Bodhi, you started dancing.  Everyone walking by got the biggest kick out of you.  You were twirling, laughing, and just plain dancing up a storm.  Mommy wanted the @ssholes in the parking lot to see you and your brother dancing and having a good time. You can enjoy music at any age.  Would they prefer we leave you behind and have ourselves a night of drinking & driving?  If that's their idea of a good time, I feel sorry for them!  Mommy and Daddy rather bring our babies to an outdoor summer concert, to enjoy the musicians together as a family.  You both LOVE music and we always go well prepared... extra food, clothes, blankets, umbrellas, etc.... This was the first of five concerts anyone said anything crude to us for bringing you.

Sheryl Crow played her songs, and she sounded great!  Mommy wishes we could have seen the stage, but hearing her live was good enough. Mommy got you both on video dancing!  After Sheryl Crow ended, Mommy told Daddy we were packing you two up and heading home.  You two were having a great time, but Mommy didn't care to hear Kid Rock, or to fight the traffic after the concert.  So, we packed up and headed to the car.  You two fell asleep along the way and once in the car, you both fell back to sleep.  All and all, we had a good time, despite @ssholes tring to ruin our concert!  Mommy and Daddy know better than to teach our children to characterize everyone by the actions of a few, however, this crowd overall was not very friendly.   Daddy says he's beginning to show his age when he says "he's concerned his generation had the Beatles, Dylan, and Clapton, and this generation has Kid Rock!"

Mommy and the babes... 1st female vocalist concert for all of us!
