Well, the day started out awesome as EVERYONE slept in... 8am and everyone, including Daddy was still in bed! Jude, you of course nursed several times through the night, but the 6am nursing fulfilled you to the point you went back to sleep for a couple more hours WHOOO HOOO! Little did Mommy and Daddy know, the remainder of the day was going to take it right back out of us, and then some. Daddy mowed the yard this morning after we had breakfast, and Mommy let you two play together in your room while I finished up a photo project for a friend downstairs. Mommy made frequent checks on you two, and you both were happily playing and watching cartoons.
Buddha, that extra sleep wasn't enough for you, you got tired early this afternoon. You started crying for your Momma, and you didn't want to play with Momma, you wanted put down for your afternoon nap. Mommy got you down, without lunch, and then Bodhi, Mommy fed you lunch and put you down for your nap. Mommy then knocked out some work and arranged for Grandmoo to come over and sit while you two napped. Mommy and Daddy went and looked at two houses while you two were napping.
The first house is a very old beautiful house in the old Silk Stocking neighborhood. It use to be a mental institution/half-way house (spooky) but it is by far the most beautiful house (downstairs) Mommy has ever seen! It needs some definite work, and it not feasible for us, but oh my goodness it was very cool! The upstairs was a bit of a mess. All of the rooms needed either a wall, or a ceiling, or the floors repaired. All of the bathrooms reminded Mommy of the hostel I stayed in while visiting New York. They also reminded Mommy of the Lafayette Park Elementary school bathrooms, very industrial and the same materials were used. The woodwork, pillars, built-ins, doors, french doors, etc... were amazing! The black mold and nasty mattresses in the basement were a deal breaker though. Also, the heating was old oil boil burner thingy... where if you two touched it, it would burn you alive. It had two central air units with the duct work, so a new heating system could be put in, but overall way too much work. Daddy said he's not living in a mental institution ha/ha! I thought it appropriate for our current lifestyle :)
The second house is Mommy's favorite style of house. I don't know how to describe the style but it was beautiful. It had a catch though.... it was a three family home, and would have to be converted back to a single family home. Daddy absolutely loved it! All three units were beautiful, but we'd have to have someone come in and tell us how to revert it back and how much it would cost. It had neat french doors, wood floors, two fire places and awesome wood work as well. It's a brick home located in the very nice part of the old Silk Stocking neighborhood. It's on our "to consider list." If we could get the price down about $40,000, then we'd do it because we could use that money to convert it back, but we don't know if the seller would be willing to come down that much.
Anyway, you both woke up while Mommy and Daddy were out house shopping. You both love spending time with Grandmoo, and Grandmoo always wears your lil' bums out! :) Mommy and Daddy came home from looking at houses and were back to trying to manage you two while getting some work done. Mommy received some very depressing news regarding her case today, which didn't help things. Mommy is struggling with the decisions that are being made by the system with her current client, but what can I say. Sister Kelly and the Governor came by for a baby fix... I'm sure they didn't enjoy the tension that we had going on today hee/hee but they withstood long enough to get some Bodhi and Buddha love though.
Jude, you insisted on going to bed early :( so Mommy nursed you to sleep. Bodhi, after nursing Juders, Mommy took a shower (finally) and then bathed you. Mommy then took you shopping at Target for some things we needed and Daddy stayed behind to get some work done. You loved our evening shopping trip to Target, we might start doing that more regularly, rather than Mommy waiting until after you go to bed. Now, Mommy and Daddy are planning to be up most of the night working on work.
Mommy just read her horoscope and it said not to forget to set aside some playtime with your kids.... FAIL! At least Mommy and Bodhi had some time together at the store?? Buddha, Mommy will make it up to you tomorrow!
"Clean my hands Momma... I'm about to have a melt-down!" |
"Bubba Buddha" You could have used a bath tonight too, but you weren't cooperating with anything other than going to bed! |
Look at that gap tooth smile ;) |
