It was a Mommy day today! Daddy headed to Evansville by himself early this morning. Mommy wanted to go and retrieve the car, but Daddy thought I'd end up lost, I think he just felt bad for not listening to me when I said we should take the Mustang hee/hee Anyway, it was just Momma and the babes... Mommy got her wish for some good ol' uninterrupted quality time! Our morning was going pretty typical, until we heard a knock at the door. It was GIGI! GiGi had called to ask if Mommy needed help cleaning up after the birthday bash this morning, and Mommy told her no we were fine, and it would get cleaned while you two napped, but she couldn't resist, she came by to see you both :) So, you two got a quick wagon ride while Mommy did some chores. After playing with GiGi for about an hour, Mommy put you both down for naps and started to plan the rest of our day. Mommy ended up falling asleep with you Juders the cuddle bug, for about 45 minutes. Mommy got up and resumed cleaning and made plans with Aunt Ti to take you two and the rest of the Cavazos clan swimming. Mommy almost backed out last minute, after expressing to Aunt Ti, everything I needed to get done, but Aunt Ti insisted that Mommy get out of the house and take a much needed break/adventure with you two. Good thing too, because we had a blast!
Bo, you slept until 4:30 p.m. today!! You were soooo tired from all that partying the day before. Jude man, you accompanied Mommy with cleaning after napping for about two and a half hours. Daddy came home and took a nap. Aunt Ti showed up at just before 5pm and we headed to the old Swim Club on Sycamore. After 5pm, adults are only charged $3 dollars, and kids under the age of five are free! Aunt Ti knows where all the good deals are! The best part is, hardly anyone was there to witness Mommy in a bathing suit! Jude, this was your first official time swimming! You had a blast. You were so happy in the water! Mommy first took you in the big pool with your sister, and then we played for a while in the baby pool. You had a blast in both. Bodhi, Mommy was worried about how you would react to the water this year. However, Mommy is very happy to report, you were "fearless," as Aunt Ti characterized you. Mommy thinks that you both benefited from having other little kids around to watch swim and interact with. Had there not been other kids setting a positive example, it might have went very different. We got a good two hours of swimming in, and thanks to Aunt Ti, we have pictures from her cell phone to post and document our adventure!
After swimming and after Mommy packed you both in the car, Jude you started to get fussy, however, once Mommy fed you snacks while getting Bodhi some chicken nuggets for dinner, you were back to your happy self. When Mommy pulled up, Daddy came out to get you both, and you both were all smiles. Daddy fed you, Bodhi, and Mommy put you, Jude to bed. It was the best... Mommy was giving you, Jude, your nightly medicine, and you just kept smiling that buck tooth smile at Momma, as if you were saying, "Momma, today was an awesome day." You went right to sleep. Bodhi, Mommy told you night, and you had the same happy smile :) Mommy loves today!!!
Bodhi, we didn't get around to opening the rest of your gifts, we'll have to do that tomorrow morning! You should see all your gifts, it's unreal. Mommy is thinking of putting one of your gifts (Aunt Debbie Riffe gave us months ago) away, and possibly saving it for Jude's birthday hee/hee
Jude, you bit Mommy a total of 13 times today!!! Keep it up Buddha, you won't make it to 12 months with nursing!! I don't care if you are trying to "toot" aka "fluff" aka "fart," Mommy is not to be used to assist you in passing gas! You would grunt, then bite, grunt, then bite, oooooh, you are lucky Mommy kept her reflexes in check and didn't send you flying! hee/hee ;)-
Great Great Great Aunt Chris and Uncle Barry are coming for a visit tomorrow!!!! YaY!! :)
