A Mellow Brick Road...: The Naked Bakers

Bodhi, Mommy had promised you last night, a morning trip to the store to buy some sparkly pink nail polish, Mommy doesn't have any polishes :)- and you didn't forget. After breakfast, after caring for Ms. Susan's cat, Gem, and after getting us all dressed, we headed for the store. You two of course suckered Mommy into allowing you each to buy some clearance Valentines Day candy...you guys didn't get candy for Valentines Day. Bodhi, you got a package of Hello Kitty chocolates, and Buddha, you picked out some puppy chocolates, but later decided on some sour worms :0 We also found a clay dog and cat for you each to paint. They were only 50 cents! Bodhi, we were headed to the cash register after finding you some pink sparkly nail polish, when you asked to bake a cake. So we picked up a strawberry cake mix, but Big Lots didn't have icing :(

We then went by GiGi's to drop off your guy's house slippers (that are supposed to stay at their house) and to pick up their Sunday paper for Daddy to review. We then headed to the Dollar Store to pick up some icing for your "Hello Kitty Strawberry cake," they didn't have strawberry icing so you both decided on vanilla with multi-colored sprinkles. We then headed home. Daddy had lunch waiting on us. You two were starting to fuss so Mommy declared nap time. Originally, Mommy wasn't going to make you two take a nap, however, Mommy was feeling tired and not in the mood for cranky babes. Well, you two boycotted and never went to sleep. You two played and ran up and down the stairs between Mommy and Daddy. Mommy finally decided to give up on nap time and I gave you Ms. Bodhi, a manicure, and you Mr. Buddha, a pedicure. Bodhi, you ended up falling asleep on Mommy's chest as I blow dried your nails ha/ha, but you sat straight up when I told you it was time to bake a Hello Kitty strawberry cake.

Buddha, you played in the sink, washing it and the dishes Bodhi and I were dirtying in our cake making session. Bodhi, you literally did everything but put the batter in the pans and the pans into the oven. You stirred like a pro (even despite your arm hurting ha/ha) as well as iced it. Mommy warmed up the taco soup I made yesterday, and we all sat and had dinner together. Daddy had to return the movies we rented yesterday, so you guys ate a piece of your cake while Daddy was gone. After dinner and cake making, Mommy finally made it a priority to clean the downstairs. I've been so tired and blue, I haven't been keeping up on the cleaning like I normally do, but tonight it had to be done. Daddy retired to his office to complete some work, and Mommy got busy. You two love when Mommy and Daddy are busy...you two chase each other through the house screaming, Ms. Allie following behind barking, playing up a storm...including doing things you know you aren't supposed to, like jumping and flipping off of furniture. After Mommy got the downstairs clean, Mommy tucked you both into bed. Sweet dreams my sweet sweet babes!

PS We forgot to call Great Papaw Grills Friday, and this morning you were playing on the phone Buddha... Mommy looked down and there was Papaw's number on the caller ID. Mommy and Daddy don't ever use the caller ID ha/ha, so you called Great Papaw and left him a message thanking him for your Valentines Day gifts :)
