We had a lazy Friday day :) We didn't do anything particularly exciting, and you two just needed some cuddling and lovin's. We all hung out, played, read, didn't do much of anything. You two decided to take a nap today, Jude, you opted to take yours with Momma :) Once Daddy arrived home, he brought us dinner so Mommy didn't have to cook. We all ate in front of the tv for the first time in forever, and then Mommy headed upstairs with you, Jude. Bodhi, you stayed downstairs with Daddy watching movies together. Mommy knew I needed to spend some extra rough housing time with you, Buddha, or you wouldn't be wore out for bed. Plus, you and your sister always sense when Mommy will be leaving after you two go to bed. I don't know how you guys know it, but you do, and you always give Daddy a hard time.
Mommy managed to get you two down for the night. Jude, you got up twice after I put you to bed, luckily, Mommy had an hour before "Momma's Night" started so I got you back to bed. Mommy was then on my way. Mommy headed to Laura Stiner's home (Aunt Tiana's sister-n-law and brother), a beautiful home in a super nice neighborhood (ha/ha which they have had more "issues" than Aunt Dianna and I have had in our "transitional neighborhood"). "Aunt Diane," managed to escape her babes, and Aunt Samara joined us too. It was just the four of us but we had a blast. Mommy, Laura, and Samara ended up talking about improving our community, politics etc... until 3:30 a.m. Aunt Dianna had to retire earlier, around 1:30 a.m., but we have big super secret plans for the future :)
It's always so difficult for us all to coordinate schedules and stick it to our plans, but we managed and I'm so happy we did. Hopefully this will be a monthly get-together :) And, we'll be keeping Laura, Troy, and their little ones in our daily thoughts and prayers!!! They need all the good vibes going their way!
Mommy hadn't drank much and was not even slightly tipsy, but driving when the bars close is always unnerving and scary... the police are out in full force, and you never know what you are going to encounter. Given my career, and the huge responsibility of raising you two, Mommy doesn't leave much to chance, and worries way to much, but I'm your Momma and that's what I do :) When I made it home, Daddy was on the couch, half awake/half asleep, making sure Momma got home ok, and you two were passed out in our bed. Jude, you were hanging over the side of the bed, and Bodhi, you were laying on your brother's bum with your bum in the air ha/ha Mommy talked to Daddy for a bit, drank some water (wine always gives Mommy a headache the next day, water seems to help), and then curled up in bed with you two. Mommy's back was not feeling the couch! Bodhi, you laid on my back and wrapped your little arms around Mommy's neck...you usually don't like to cuddle in bed, so it was a super special treat for Momma :)
Nighty night my sweet sweet babes! I only managed to take one picture...of you, Buddha, when Mommy "air planing" you over the side of our bed :)
PS I'm not able to send mail from my phone at the moment, I have re-adjust settings because I was having issues with email :(
