Boys Night Out

Daddy was able to get out of the office late this afternoon, and by the time the dust had settled Buddha and Daddy went out on the town for some major league grocery shopping! We made the circuit first by going to Sam’s Club, while Mommy stayed home with your sleeping beauty sister, Ms. BodhiJ.

You were a perfect angel at Sam’s Club, Mister Jude Liam Buddha Grills Holsapple, alternating between wanting to walk with Daddy and alternatively riding in the main compartment of the shopping cart. You “romanced” a young sales register clerk who was clearly impressed by youJ. After completing our mission at Sam’s Club we made our way home to drop off our goods, as Daddy was concerned about leaving the ice cream goodies in the car while we went on our next mission. All the way home you kept talking about your “beingen binders” as though that was a quite serious issue, and Daddy attempted to stay engaged with your conversation though not having a clue what you were talking about.

After a quick stopover at home to unload our loot, we proceeded to Kroger’s where a marathon shopping event got underway! Mommy had made us a shopping list, and Daddy swears we went up and down the same aisle numerous times trying to find elusive items like Zesty Italian seasoning, or Chicken Stock (not Chicken broth, don’t even try to go there) and garlic powder and Taco seasoning (which is no where near the Zesty Italian seasoning, oddly one thinks)—you were a trooper, though clearly you were beginning to wear down (or perhaps Daddy was projecting his exhaustion on youJ) and Daddy negotiated with you over some choice selections in the popsicle aisle (with your help “we” decided on banana popsicles, cherry and pineapple pops, and fudgesicles---there was briefly another selection tempting “us” but you affirmed you could get that one at GiGi’sJ).

You dazzled nearly every passerby with calling attention to the ring-pops you talked Daddy into getting, one for you and one for Bodhi, and you insisted on telling folks one was for your sister BoBo. At one point, Daddy swears, you talked to an employee (who was exceptionally nice) for five minutes, insisting on showing her your ring-pop (and your sister’s) and each box of popsicles you had selected. She was clearly impressed by you, young man. Throughout the course of our adventure you continued to speak about your “beingen binders,” and Daddy did his best to accommodate our conversation.

By the time we made it home, Mommy and Bodhi had made us a Mexican dinner of steak and peppers and onions fajitas and then we enjoyed some ice cream as our dessert treat. Neither your Mommy nor your sister were any assistance in interpreting your concern over your “beingen binders,” until Daddy finally solved the riddle at bedtime when Daddy got you and your sister your multi-vitamin gummy bears, when you insisted you wanted another “beingen binder,” AKA multi-vitamin. Eureka!!!!

After both of you settled in for the “night, night” ritual, Brother Sean Francis came by to pay us a visit, and promised to come by again this weekend to see the two of you. Daddy visited awhile with Sean Franky and was very welcoming of his opportunity to get to bed too. So, thank goodness for a quality night on the town for the boys, and quality time for the girls at home, but damn enough grocery shopping already! J !
“Night, night!!!”

PS You two spent the morning with Mommy in which you, Ms. Bodhi started crying at the dining room table and out of nowhere said, “Mommy I miss Murffee, can you please tell him to come out of the moon and come back home.”  We then had the life and death talk, followed by us three snuggling on the couch (bill time for Mommy) and one of Mommy’s favorites “Charlotte’s Web”  for you two.”  You two loved it as much as Mommy!

Bodhi, you were super excited to have Mommy all to yourself.  You helped Mommy cook dinner, organize our cupboards, and you set the table all by yourself :)

Buddha, you sleep walk and talk ALL the time!  At nap time you came downstairs, talked some nonsense to Daddy and then passed out (butt up in the air) on the ottoman next to Allie.  Mr. Arlo awakened you with a few licks, he was thinking about eating you ha/ha
