Today we were blessed with another beautiful day of weather,
quite sunny, and an especially great day for our carriage ride downtown to the
Farmer’s Market after Daddy got home from work. We enjoyed our usual of a
shared cookie and a glass of herbal iced tea, and we saw Aunt Susan and her
friend Jan while we were there. They both commented on how adorable the two of
you are, and Aunt Susan said she looks forward to our open-house so she can
come by and see Baby Ella and Baby Dora kitties!
After we got home, we played outside in the back while Mommy
continued her outdoor home improvement projects, then Sister Kelly stopped by
for a visit and we talked her into staying for lunch. She and Brother Aaron
were planning attending a fundraiser later today, but we even talked her into
going with us to the nursery to look for a few more plants for Mommy to spruce
up and decorate our backyard---Mommy spent the rest of her graduation money from GiGi and Gi-Pa on
our beautification-of-the-backyard project!
By the time we got home from the nursery, the two of you
were ready for some nap time, with a promise you would go swimming when you got
upJ. By late afternoon,
the two of you were ready to go again, so we made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby
to purchase some supplies so Mommy can make each of you a Buddha and Bodhi
stepping stone for our outdoor development planJ.
We made a quick drive-through of White Castle’s and told the two of you your
cheeseburgers were a Princess burger and a Prince burger, and you both ate it
upJJJ!!!
When we returned home, Mommy and Daddy got the two of you
outfitted for some swim time and put your suits on; Autumn and Chayse from next
door joined you and you all had fun splashing around and periodically helping
Mommy with her planting. Daddy boldly offered to take the two of you inside and
give you a bath (including washing your hair, Ms. BodhiJ) and we got the two of you
decked out for “night, night.”
We enjoyed a truly beautiful day together, we have
especially been having some family fun time this past week and a half, though
Daddy admits to occasionally being grumpy about his back hurting so badly,
which has caused Mommy to have hurt feelings, and left Daddy acknowledging
there is no excuse to be grumpy with your loved ones—no matter what reason you
offer. Daddy told Mommy he is sorry, and he is telling the two of you he is
sorry as well. Daddy doesn’t want to turn into a grumpy troll.
“Night, night,” Princess and Prince of IndianaJ!
