A Double Carriage Ride Adventure Daddy Day

Today we exhausted ourselves with two carriage ride outings, the first at the request of both of you was to follow the mellow brick road to Grandmoo’s. We arrived after some photography of baby ducks and baby geese to find Grandmoo wasn’t feeling all that well, but she was excited about seeing you two! Both of you made a bee line for the toys and got all of them out, then directly to Grandmoo’s refrigerator where you gobbled down all her cheese—all while having snacks that Mommy sent along for our adventure! The two of you thoroughly enjoyed your visit with Grandmoo, and only consented to leave peacefully after Daddy assured the two of you we would go to Foster Park for a visitJ!

At Foster Park, we enjoyed a beautiful play day of swinging and climbing everything there was to climb! Neither of you wanted to leave the park, either, but again Daddy persuaded you with an assurance that we would make another trip in the afternoon after lunch and naptime.

We continued our journey home and enjoyed our lunch with Mommy, who has been stuck at home trying to organize our bills and plan some of our summer project costs. After lunch, you were both down for a nap, and so was DaddyJ.

After nap time we went off on another adventure in our carriage, and Daddy carefully followed the mellow brick road back to Crazy J’s Ice Cream, where again Bodhi you enjoyed your Huckleberry ice cream and you Buddha tried the cotton candy ice cream—in fact, the two of you shared your ice cream with one another and with DaddyJ. After ice cream, we again made our way to Foster Park and enjoyed more swinging and climbingJ.

We headed home, and Daddy had to confess his back simply can’t take any more adventure for the day,  but we were all treated with a visit from GiGi and GiPa! Sean Franky returned from his job interview in Ft. Wayne and Daddy ran him home, and finally got back home where some serious pain intervention medicines were employed to offset the sharp, stabbing pain in Daddy’s shoulder blade—Daddy is seriously hurting, in fact yesterday Daddy’s left arm was so numb in seriously burned it while cooking you guys dinner, and didn’t even notice the burn until much laterL.

By night, night time it was still so incredibly hot that Mommy settled down with an open window and you snuggled with her Buddha, and Bodhi you and Daddy had a slumber party on the living room couches where the air was much, much cooler. Tomorrow is supposed to be a scorcher, so we’ll see if our air conditioner does any better—Daddy is concerned something is wrong with itL.  Mommy thinks it keeps freezing up L

For now, though, peace and love—and memories of a wonderful adventure day with two precious angelsJJJ!!!
