Today started an incredible heat
wave, in fact as Memorial Day weekend begins and in Indiana anticipation of the
Indianapolis 500 race is in the thoughts of many predictions are that it will
prove to be the hottest temperature for the race in its history! Daddy and
Mommy’s concern was more focused on the two of you as our central air
conditioner was not working. Grandpa Kurt thought it might be low of coolant
and so did Uncle T, and both recommended without reservation that we contact
Bill Orr’s Heating and Cooling. So, first thing this morning Daddy phoned and
spoke with a thoughtful representative and explained to him our concern because
of two toddlers in the home and Daddy was assured that if at all possible
someone would contact us and come out todayJ.
Sure enough, later in the morning we received a phone call and two very nice
gentlemen from Orr’s came out and charged our air conditioner and got it
functioning perfectlyJ!
If we had our own form of recommendation system, everyone would be
unconditionally (no pun intended), enthusiastically encouraged and recommended
to do their air conditioner business with Bill Orr!!!!!!!!!!
So that the two of you will
someday fully appreciate your Mommy for keeping this blog of your mellow brick
road chronicles alive, please understand how difficult it can be to maintain
entries from day to day, especially when someone is not feeling well. Daddy has
so enjoyed his time with each of you these past many days before summer school
formally begins (next weekL),
but honestly Daddy is hurting so much he can barely focus on what he is doing,
and he is truly worried about getting better and having to have surgery. Mommy
and Daddy have both been trying to get some summer projects underway and
accomplished (especially if Daddy is going to be incapacitated for some considerable
balance of the summer) but even this is proving difficult because Daddy can
barely use his right arm. Someday the two of you will fully understand the
importance of good health, how frankly it is the most important basis for fully
enjoying all life has to offer.
So, someday you will read this
Bodhi and Buddha and you will comprehend how much the two of you were the
center of Daddy and Mommy’s universe, and that even during times of personal
challenge and difficulty, you both were loved beyond words---especially when
words just wouldn’t come.
We received sad news that Susie
Newburn passed away early this morning L I can’t even tell you what a shock this was
for Mommy. She went into the hospital, found
out she had an inoperable brain tumor, and then died weeks later. So fast, so incredibly sad. RIP Susie, you'll be dearly missed. We hope that Jim, Ben, and Andy find some comfort and peace in knowing that she is no longer suffering.
Mommy has this warped belief that nothing can
happen to me since I have to raise you two.
Mommy believes she can will herself to overcome death until you two are
grown! Hopefully it works!
Pictures from Aunt Ti's :) You two spent the afternoon with Aunt Ti while Mommy worked, just like every other Friday :)
