Hot And Sticky Sunday

Today was an especially hot May Sunday, so Mommy decided to close all our windows and turn on the air conditioning. Thank goodness, because it really was a scorcher! It was also a sticky day, but more about that in a minuteJ.

None of us really slept very well because it was so warm overnight, Bodhi you finally had Mommy strip you down to your diaper and you ended up coming downstairs and you and Daddy had a slumber party on the floor (with Nick Jr. our background noiseJ). After we all got up and moving around 8:30 a.m. (late for Bodhi and Daddy) Daddy made breakfast of coffee (for Mommy and Daddy), Apple juice for Buddha and Bodhi, yogurt (mountain blueberry for Bodhi and harvest peach for Mommy and Buddha) and toast.

Bodhi you and Mommy went outdoors (where it was incredibly hot!) and made a stepping stone for Gi-Pa's birthday coming up, while Buddha you stayed inside with Daddy. You and I colored for a while and watched one of your children’s shows, then we made macaroni ‘n cheese and cottage cheese for all of us for our lunch. After lunch, the two of you went down for a reluctant nap, but Mommy assured the two of you if you didn’t nap you couldn’t go to GiGis for dinner—that of course kept the both of you upstairs.

We did hear pitter-patter of feet occasionally and Mommy ordered you back to your nap a couple of times, Bodhi. Brother Sean Franky and Arial came by for a visit before going off to a movie, and Sean said he could hear you stirring Buddha so he went upstairs to check on you. He hurried back downstairs and retrieved the camera and came back to report we better go inspect things for ourselvesJ! Daddy went upstairs to get you, Buddha, and discovered Bodhi had colored your eyebrows with a washable (thank goodness) coloring pen, had given you a tube of toothpaste which you proceeded to squirt everywhere and rub on everything and discovered a box of Kleenex strewn all over! I brought you downstairs to enlist Mommy’s help in getting you cleaned up to go to GiGis and proceeded to get you up as well, Bodhi. You were grinning from ear to ear girl when Mommy interrogated you about your mischiefJ. So we had both a hot and a sticky day!!!  Mommy later discovered when doing some house cleaning... toothpaste smeared on the pictures in the hallway, two globs on the tent tunnel, a glob on the piggy dehumidifier, and Mommy laughed when she saw that you had put a glob (that had hardened) on both Mommy's and Daddy's toothbrush for when we went to brush our teeth.

The both of you were thrilled to go to GiGis for dinner, so Daddy ran the two of you over there then picked up some dinner for Mommy and Daddy and returned home so we could continue some of our projects, but Mommy and Daddy ate dinner and ended up passing out on the couch for about a half hour.  Then we were up and at em' once again.  Mommy went to pick you two up from GiGi's and she took along Baby Ella aka Baby Kitty, you both were excited to see her in the car, but she was not at all excited about being in the car.  Jude, Baby Ella sat on your lap the entire car ride home.  Mommy fixed her review mirror so that she could keep a close eye on you, and she reports that you were loving and gentle the entire car ride.  Once home, you both insisted on visiting Baby Dora.  Baby Dora is no longer hissing, and is very affectionate.  She's growing bigger by the minute.  Mommy says she is eating every time she goes and checks on her.  Baby Ella is still uncertain about about Baby Dora, but Mommy says there is progress being made :)

Sweet dreams our sweet sweet babes!

PS GiGi told Mommy the last time the two of you were at her and Gi-Pa's house, one of you wrote with crayon all over the closet door in the bedroom... she said you both blamed each other, I think we know who did it after today... BODHI!

Bodhi working on Gi-Pa's stepping stone... we have several to make this week for gifts.  Buddha, Mommy only had one mold so you stayed inside with Daddy.  Our neighbor Susan gave Mommy the idea and offered for us to use her molds, she has several for her grandchildren.  Unfortunately she was at church so we couldn't borrow them.

Waiting for the mixture to harden, planning out a design ha/ha yeah right!  All blue!

Brother Sean Franky and Ariel :)

Mommy had to get a picture of these two crazy love birds for our picture wall :)

Bodhi's handy work... this picture doesn't show all of the mess on your face ha/ha  Yesterday Mommy told Bodhi how proud she was that she could draw the eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth on the blank clown face (from the coloring book from the circus), today, Bodhi decided you can't really see your eyebrows Jude, so she thought she'd darken them.  She actually did a really good job, other than using a bright red marker ha/ha!

GiGi and Gi-Pa ate at Steak n'Shake today, they picked you both up a hat and a car hee/hee

Bodhi, your car was blue of course, and Juders, your car was yellow (your most consistently favored color)

GiGi reports that you both ate a huge dinner, and several desserts :)-

Just like your Momma... always thirsty!

Sprinkler time!  You both had to work off those food babies :)

I can't imagine you two with out one another!

"Look Momma, Baby Ella is on my lap!"  "Kitty, Kitty!"  "Awwww Kitty Kitty!"

Kisses for the Kitty!

"Aaah, Mommy, she's kind of  digging into my leg!"
