We are getting down to it, the last day before our party! You two awakened on the wrong side of the bed/crib ha/ha Mommy needed a shower and needed to get some items from the store (on a tight budget), but you two were not in the mood. Mommy decided you two would take a morning bath, maybe that would wash off some of the crankies hee/hee and it worked! You two played in the bath while I got cleaned up. Bodhi, you played in the bath for an hour and a half!!! Jude, you wanted out after only about 15 minutes. Mommy pointed out to you, Ms. Bodhi, that your fingers and feet were wrinkled, you said, "ewwww," but insisted on staying in a while longer.
After we were all cleaned up, and after you had a meltdown about wearing clothes, Ms. Bodhi, we headed to Hobby Lobby to check out their clearance section for some plates, napkins, cups, etc... We found what we needed, but you two also found a little treat you wanted for yourselves. Bodhi, you were an angel, Buddha, you were a terror. You managed to redeem yourself toward the end, in time to earn a treat. Mommy had told you you weren't getting anything. You are having major temper tantrums lately. Mommy just ignores you and lets you have your full on tantrums, to which you then start yelling, "Mommy don't leave me." What a sight we were. All the other shoppers, I'm certain, thought Mommy was probably a horrible Mommy hee/hee especially when you were yelling, "don't leave me Momma, don't leave me!" From Hobby Lobby, we headed to Sams Club to pick up some food. Daddy met us there and we together enjoyed some samples and completed our mission. Buddha, you were once again in rare form, well, not so rare these days. Mommy told Daddy he could take you guys home and I'd pay and load up our goods. Bodhi, you wanted to stay with Momma, so you helped Momma check-out and pay for our items. Mommy is loving what a Momma's girl you've turned into :)
Once home, we all took an afternoon nap... longer than Mommy had wanted. Daddy got busy on some yard work, and Mommy took care of the two of you, making dinner and getting things done here and there. Sister Kelly stopped by with cupcakes for Mommy's party, and picked out an outfit she needed for a wedding she's attending tomorrow. You two visited with Sister Kelly, Brother Franky, and eventually Brother Aaron. Sister Kelly hung the curtains from our old house in your room Bodhi. You now have princess curtains :) They are wrinkled from Mommy washing them ha/ha, but they are up!
After dinner and play time, you two went to bed. Bodhi, you got back up however... you said, "Mommy, I can't sleep." You watched as Mommy was making potato soup, and rum cakes for our party tomorrow. OH, I forgot to mention, when we were shopping, Mommy had told you both we had to get some items for Mommy's and Daddy's party, and you two then started calling the party, "Mommy's tea party." I don't know where you two come up with this stuff ha/ha. Anyway, you, Bodhi, asked Mommy if I was making "Hello Kitty Rum cake for my tea party." You were having a blast watching Mommy run around with my head cut off...Mommy's not much of a cook or a baker :) We were having fun until curiosity got the best of you, Bodhi. You decided you were going to touch the stove for the first time, something you never do, and something Mommy never worries about you doing. You cried like I've never seen you cry. It absolutely broke my heart. You were in shock, you were hurting, and you kept saying, "Mommy, my finger is hot!" Mommy got a bowl of ice and put a bandaid on it, per your request, and then I set you up in the front room. You decided to watch "Babe" and you kept your finger in the ice. Mommy felt bad for your finger, but then I felt really guilty about you watching "Babe," as I fried two pounds of bacon to put on top of the potato soup. Two bowl of ice later, you were sound asleep on the couch. Buddha, you had awakened and Daddy took you in Mommy's and Daddy's bed. You and Daddy were passed out with the news on. Mommy baked and cooked until 1am. After which I did manage to get the kitchen cleaned up. Mommy then went to bed on the other couch, across from you, Bo.
Sweet dreams my sweet sweet babes! You both are excited about your overnight slumber parties with Grandmoo and GiGi tomorrow :)
